Acadian shrugged. "One of my closest friends was a lycan... and I've known other Lycans and vampires, even dated one or two. I'm not scared of them."

"Well, that's good, I guess that means you are used to our life style," she told him.

"Yeah." He replied. "It was when folk started getting their suspicions about the people I associated myself wth that I started getting beat up... And that was a long time ago, that it all stared. They were to afraid to attac my friends directly. They didn't know until a few months before my coma that I wasn't human..."

Harlo made a mental list of all the things she would bring back to the shack: food, a broom, blankets, flashlight, change of clothes, bathing suit, construction material and a few other things were among them. Transforming into an eagle, she soared above the trees for a few minutes before she returned to her human form in front of the school. She jogged towards her dorm, wanting to write her list down as quickly as possible so as not to forget anything.

"Sometimes life seems to be overly cruel," Kate said as she stood up to put her plate away and offered to take Acadian's. "But I hear it makes people stronger...or so they say."

Acadian nodded, and let Kate take his plate. "That's true... "

She took his plate and went into the kitchen to give them to the lady. "Thanks," she told her before going back to where Acadian was. "Well, I'm going to go back up to my room and...um...take a shower, do you still want to meet up at your car after dark?" She asked him.

"Yeah. I'll see yu laer Kate. Bye!" He said, then headed out to his car to drag up the last two, larger boxes

"Bye," Kate told him before heading up to her room to get cleaned up. She made her shower quick and then blow dried her hair which she almost never did. Rummaging through her drawers she finally found something to where. It was simply but nice looking none the less. When she looked out her window her heart leaped to see that it was dark outside. She felt strange, nervous. This boy made her feel special and she didn't even know why. She shook her head at herself before casually walking out the door towards the parking lot.

Acadian unpacked, making sure the room was set up and organized. When he finished, the sun was just beginning to set. He got up, and went downstairs out to the parking lot, decidng to go for a run as he waited for the sun to set completely. He shifted to his wolf form, and ran off. He returned after the sun had set, and saw Kate waiting by his car. He approached quietly from behind, wanting to see if, with her vampire and lycan blood, she could sense him.

Since Kate was not occupied by a book all of her senses were heightened and she could easily hear footsteps behind her and the familiar scent that she had gotten from the duffel-bag she was carrying earlier, not to mention the sound of his beating heart. "Why do you always insist on sneaking up on me, Acadian?" she asked before turning around to face him.

Acadian halted mid-step, still in his wolf form. He lowered his head, looking disappointed. There was a slight ripple of magic, and he shifted back, in his human for once again. He was thankful for his uncle having taught him the trick to changing without his clothes getting ruined in the process. "Why? Because its fun, Kate. Why else?"

She stuck her tongue out. "For you maybe," she told him with grin. "You know, your cute as a wolf," she said laughing.

"Thanks.... Hey, Kate? Whats your oppinion of those who are more... opn-minded, about their preferences?" Acadian asked, as he opened his car door, and let the top down, situating himself on the top of the backseat.

She looked at him curiously as she took a step towards him. "It depends I guess, but I don't think I'd have a problem with it," she told him with a shrug. "Why exactly do you ask?"

"...What would you do if I told you I wasn't into girls?" He asked, a little hesitantly.

"Oh," she said a little hesitant. But then she shook her head, "Well, I'm glad that you told me," she told him. "I'm guessing that means you trust me." She went over at sat next to him hugging his arm. "I still want to be your friend, Acadian. I don't care if you aren't into girls, just be happy with who you are." She then gave him a reassuring even though she was a little down that they would never be able to get together in the way she wanted to.

Acadian smiled, and pulled his arm out of her hold, wrapping it around her shoulders instead. "Thank you... For being so understanding..." He said, pulling her into a one armed hug. "..Hey you wanna go for a drive?"

She looked up at him with a grin and nodded. "Of course," she told him eagerly. "This is a really awesome car by the way, I love mustangs."

"Thanks. It was my uncles. My cousin didnt want it, so he gave it to me."

"Oh that's cool, your cousin must be crazy for passing this car up," she told him with a laugh. "I don't know how to drive though, but it doesn't seem to complicated..."

"Nah, he's not crazy for passing it up. This here's the '66 mustang convertible. He preferred the '69 model. His friend sold him his dad's cheap. It took some fixin up, but he got it running great."

Harlo ran a hand through her hair, furiously jotting a list. There were a few things she would have to go into town to get... she grabbed her black coat, which went down to her calf, and ran outside, jumping onto her motorcycle. She grinned, happy about her hideaway as she zig-zagged through lanes of traffic, her coat flapping freely behind her.

"Hmm, my favorite is the '65 model but I rarely ever see one," she told him. "Even though I don't drive I know a lot about cars...my dad and uncle used to build them." She looked up at the sky and saw that the moon was full. Her stomach churned and she let out a huff but soon got a hold of herself. The moon did not control her as it did the others because she was only half but her lycan part wanted to rip out of her which made her feel sick to her stomach but she simply shook her head at herself.

"That's pretty cool... Think I could meet them some day?" Acadian asked, and looked up as well, and noticed the full moon. "Come on, Kate, we'll go for a drive... I know o a few nice secluded areas nearby..." He said. "Perfect for shifting in, away from prying eyes who may be hurt? ...If you want to change, that is..."
