It's really changed over the years, Suona.
I'm an active writer on ff.net and I sometimes feel like I'm the only literate writer on there with all the crap I've seen. D:

DnD IS fun. If done right. Its basically role playing but in person and on paper/pencil. I'm been an illegal migrant halfling working for the CIA for a green card. (don't ask that was a messed up campaign. I had knowledge Mexicana and had a fear of ducks...) I have also been a ranger who followed a cleric of weejas and killed this final boss in one hit because he killed my shadow puppet man. Also have been an alcoholic detective.

I'm running a final fantasy campaign right now. Its primarily FFVII-centric with the bad guys being Jenova's Witnesses who believe in the second coming of Sephiroth and they must purify the world by bathing it in the blood of sinners. <I felt as a Jehovah's Witness I can poke fun at it and it be okay. Like my being hispanic and getting Knowledge mexicana in the other campaign.>

If I had more time and got back into the knowing more about the feel of the characters and their stories, then i'd probably write fanfictions. I've always loved writing, and I have good grammer and what not because I really love English and I had to do tons of writing during AP English in highschool. Haha

lawl, yes. =P I'm a Sora. I joined five months before Yami did.
She beats me though activity wise. I joined the site and was all, "WHAT IS THIS, I DON'T EVEN" and kind of ran away.

I call her Yami so it doesn't look like I'm talking to myself. xD

ff.net needs more well written fanfiction.
I've seen a lot of troll fanfics, gender benders, M-pregs, crap poems, horrible song fanfics, and others that just make me shudder.

I'm so excited. The new Dresden Files tabletop game came out a few days ago. I wanna plaaaaaaaaaaaaay!! :squee: I felt so nerdy saying that just then :XD

I write fanfic too but I don't write for the overly popular series so my stuff isn't too popular either. I like to think I have decent grammer and what not, but that's just my opinion. At least I haven't been told otherwise...yet.

On the very strong chance of sounding old, its all that internet-talk/txt language. I don't think the worst of the worst even know how to write properly or how to use Grammar. I mean, I know I fail in the comma department but, seriously, I learned English as a second language and I write better than a good deal of these native speakers.

Also you can't correct them in a review because then you are 'flaming' them.
Like a Title is to be capitalized each word, except for 'of, the, an, a, is, in...well you get the point' and those ARE capitalized if they are the first word in the title. Or if you correct Grammar mistakes or spelling.

Also I hate it when people say that they suck at summaries, in the summary. Great way to make me want to read it.

I miss having reviews that are productive. I get them once in a while but normally I get the 'update now' or 'update soon'.

Haha, I feel old sometimes too when I look at what the younger generation is into. Yet I'm only 20, soon to be 21.

I hate text talking so much. But I'm guilty of doing it with my cell phone because after awhile it gets annoying waiting for my cell phone to go, "okay you can press that button again for the next letter slot". I don't have a fancy flip keyboard phone, just a Trac Fone with the old fashion way to text.

However in writing there is no point in using text talk in it. Unless it's a scene where someone's texting. xD But if the whole thing is that way, it's garbage.

Yes, I hate that too. I've had several moments where my opinion was considered as a flame from n00b writers.

And yes it's never a good sign when the summary says "I suck at summaries". XD
