Throw in some psychology! Say it also highlights how humans instintively have the fear of being weak, which pushes them into looking for someone to blame first than analyzing the situation, which is what causes a lot of literature's tragical finishes.

I barely ever took the literal side of the story. Most of the time, I would reduce it into a summary paragraph when writing 8-paragraphs-long essays.

There was a mention of him POSSIBLY finding a letter proving that he had the african heritage, but the author never gives proof either way in the published work. It is known, however, that she erased one final line from the piece so no one really knew- and that was that Armand found out after he was Half african AFTER his wife killed himself. I think that's what it implied, anyways...

It was nice and quiet. I came in and chatted with some of the kids in the sky pirate thread and then my husband made me a lovely dinner and he bought some nice white and red roses and he had them all over the dining room and the kitchen. It was so sweet.

We just hung out at home.

She should probably hope we're not brain twins. Her brain my break with some of my thoughts. *cackle*

You could say the author took out a line of the finished work on purpose so that she could create an atmosphere of doubt and eternal suspension to the reader, as a resource to let them form their own theories and reach their own conclusions about what happened after the ending.
