my entire family owns toyota's all pre-recall and i'm still a loyal toyota person. i love my little corolla

My little Camry is one I bought from a longtime friend of the family. It's an old car, and I feel an obligation to take care of it, partly because it's my car, but partly because the family friend sort of considered it a part of her family. The way cars can, you know.

Well, being born in Detroit, I didn't dare buy a foreign car.

Actually, years ago I did buy a Datsun, but I got away with that because it was front wheel drive, and at the time, there were NO American cars with front wheel drive.
I was in Minnesota at the time, and needed it for all the snow.

Mine is just a Toyota truck. Everyone is always asking me what kind of truck it is. Well , the title just says Toyota truck, so I don't know what to tell them. Dad says its jsut a Toyota short bed.

But, recent recalls aside, Toyota does have a reputation for cars that just go and go. I mean, I drive a '90 model...

I thought I had an American car...a Jeep. But then my hubby said that it was actually now a German company.

Go figure.

The lines between foreign and domestic cars are pretty blurred now, anyway. Doesn't GM have plants in Mexico?

that is true for toyota's my dad's toyota tacoma is a 99 and still runs almost like new.

I've heard good things about Toyotas. Most people love theirs.

I'd love to have a car. really.

I know my truck still runs like new, but my dad keeps it running for me.

We don't have any public transport where I am. Not none at all. I kinda got used to buses and taxis while I was in San Antonio and then I had to come back to driving. Totally uncool!

Mine isn't like the Jeep jeep...it's more like an SUV.
