Maybe this will help you.

I don't need to use this (I usually just view all the posts after my last post that I made), but at the top of the threads, below the "post reply" button, there's a text link that says,"View first unread post", maybe if you click that every time and then caught up on the posts real quick, then it would be less confusing for you.

But whatever works for you. If you're content with just posting in one thread, that is fine.
