My mother put a lot of pressure on me around my junior year of high school to get into college, but I didn't budge. I waited until I moved out from home since junk was so stressful. Oddly enough, what I wanted to do was never questioned. I've had the same goal since I was a kid, so I think I'm fortunate there.

I didn't actually begin college until I was 21 though. I think, though I miss how I could have done things earlier, it was a better choice for me.

Maybe when you pick a major, you can sign up for a whole slew of classes and see if any tickle you more than the others. Take a bunch of clashing ones, like art, biology and psychology. Then maybe you'll find inspiration in a place you least expect it?

@Chi: O I see, well it's good that sticking to your own plan worked out in the end. As a child I wanted to be a vet because I thought animals were awesome but I don't think I will be that now. xD
At least I have always stuck to the science stream as a child. I can't see myself taking a bunch of courses from different fields because it would seriously stress me out to have that much in my schedule. D:
In highschool I did try courses in different subjects like business, art and history. That did help me learn what I liked/was good at.

@Roar: Wow it's horrible to hear news like that. ><;;
I hope that your aunt's breast cancer was caught early and can be taken care of easily.
I know someone who's father was only given two months to live and he did die in two months.
It's great that you are being supportive during this time.

Ah... high school drama can be some of the worst. I'd like to tell you that it ends in college, but what I've seen going on with some of my friends, I can't. >_>;; I think sometimes drama is just everywhere to make us miserable. *swats it away*

@Pander: Ah high school drama is very over-inflated and annoying.
Although I was never the person who got involved in any drama so my high school years were relatively drama-free. I just make friends with people that don't create or get involved in drama.
Chi is right, university seems to have less drama unless you get involved with the party crowd.
