You cannot buy clothing until you have the money for it. You earn gold from playing games and making posts in the forums. You cannot double post, however you can edit posts. The longer the post the more gold you earn up to 20. I don't know what the games' caps are, but the better your score the more you get. So far the most I've made is 35 gold in a game of FanGirl.
