It's a real life comedy show, xuv. It's called the Punishment Game in English, the Batsu Game under Gaki no Tsukai, held once a year on New Year. The rules for the game is pretty much like this. No laughing or you get punishment (which is usually a strong whack to the butt)!

Though in total, I did get less than 1k for the ang paos this year.

Yeah, I know how that can be. Try adjusting for one or two hours first for a few days. Then another one or two hours earlier and so on till your body gets used to it. I've been used to sleeping earlier these few weeks and waking up early. But I've been sleeping at 4-6am the past few days and waking up way past noon. Now I'm nursing a bad headache. x_x
