I SEARCHED in the forum and I didn't see anything similar to this, so I'm gonna pray the mods don't basically tell me that I failed again...

So a lot of people like Tim Burton and I was just wondering what everyone's favorite Tim Burton movie is.

For me it's really hard to choose...I might just have to go with the Nightmare Before Christmas, even though it's cliche, it's been my favorite movie since I was a kid, so it always has a special place in my heart.

I'm also very fond of Beetlejuice, and I'd have to say it's probably my second favorite :3

I have no idea what my favourite would be. It used to be The Nightmare Before Christmas when i first started liking his films but since then I have seen more of his movies so I dont like it as much as I used to but I still like it heaps.

Maybe Edward Scissorhands. The storyline is just beautiful. Edward, an outcast being taken into society is lovely. I cried in it so many times. I love it so much! I recently bought an Edward Scissorhands poster, I cant wait to put it up!

I just bought beetlejuice and I keep watching it over and over again. Once again I love the story line. Corpsebride is pretty cool with stopmotion and Danny Elfmans song like Nightmare.

I'd have to pick Edward Scissorhands. It never fails to make me cry!
Corpse Bride was beautiful too though, especially the end when she turns into butterflies!
But I think most,if not,all of his films are amazing!

The first Tim Burton movie I saw was Edward Scissorhands~ & to this day is still by far my favorite.

After that is Sweeny Todd as a close second.

I can't choose. They're all amazing.
I adore his short, Vincent. I coud watch it forever.

I've been a Burton fan since I was little. I remember saying once "I wanna be a director like Tim Burton!" as a kid. He's still a huge inspiration to me.

I'm with the rest of you. I can't really decide on what movie of his I like the most. For the most part I watched Corpse Bride and Nightmare before Christmas than the rest of his movies. My opinion will probably change as of July 2nd. When he comes out with the new Alice movie, then again it might not.

Ooo.... hard choice, I like a lot of his stuff.

Nightmare Before Christmas is a fave because it was the first of his that I watched and of course it's a classic.

Sweeney Todd is just amazingly gorey and it's a musical too so that's high on my list XD

I'm sure when Alice in Wonderland comes out I'll adore that too.

I can't watch Edward Scissorhands without crying a little ^^;;; It's so heartbreakingly beautiful (even if Winona Rider's voice annoys me a bit)

Yeah, I agree Edward Scissorhands is his best, but I think Sweeney Todd is my personal favorite.

I think my first film that Tim Burton had anyhthing to do with was James and the Giant Peach. Henry Selik directed It I think? Well he had something to do with it.

@Stallion Duck, Everyone forgets Mars Attacks. I think it's a really funny movie!

I think I love all of his movies equally. They all have a different flare about them, and he does them all so well. If I had to watch one over and over, it would be the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory one. I love the story, Johnny Depp is amazing, and the sets are so good. Love it.

I'm stuck evenly between Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Edward Scissorhands never fails to make me cry either, omg, both are so good. I love all of Burton's work though, with a passion. Even Sweetney Todd, although I'll admit some scenes were rather queasy for me. I wish he could have toned it down a little, it wasn't needed to be that violent in my opinion but still, quite good.

I can't wait to see Alice in Wonderland, I want to see it sooo bad!!

It would have to be Nightmare Before Christmas but I love The Corpse Bride too.
Both are wonderful movies that I watch every year since they came out.
Nightmare Before Christmas gets two showings; one on Halloween and one on Christmas.

I notice that no one mentiened that he made the first two 90's batman movies. The first one is my fave but if I had to pick one off the list I would say Nightmare, and he didn't even direct it. I kind of think he sucks as a director to be honest. All of his films are pretty much the same. Johnny Depp always plays someone crazy and it all usually revovles around him.

I cannot say that I have seen all his movies, but of the ones I have seen, I liked Edward Sissorhands best.

I saw The Nightmare Before Christmas after the big freak out everybody suddenly had over it. I thought it was good, but not that good. It was a bit overrated, I was expecting to see the movie of the century since everybody suddenly loved it, but yeah, it wasn't.

Tim Burton's movies always revolve around two world or two opposite directions and places. Good vs. Bad. Christmas Vs. Halloween. Life vs. Death. etc.

Sweeney Todd for me. ;D

I adore musicals, and this one took the cake! I also love Edward Scissorhands and Sleepy Hollow. [ lol my friend told me to count the number of times Ichabod fainted XD ]

And yeah. Just wow. Even if it was bloody, I loved it a lot. But most likely it;s because it's a musical. XD

thats hard, but im gonna say.. Nightmare Before Christmas, not because its his best, but because its been my favorite of his films for a while now. I really enjoy watching that movie. I can't wait to see Alice in Wonderland, though. It seems like it's going to be absolutely brilliant!

ELsa, have you seen the ORIGINAL Sweeny Todd? Burton butchered it.
