i like this site so much more than gaia. everything is easier to find and it's not all about the cash/gold.

YES. Although I might be biased since I started here... but either way, it doesn't have that borderline-insane speed that gaia has. which is awesome :D

I mean, staff is around 247! Gaia's staff don't give a sh*t about anything, They only gave me one warning on there. And I used to do wrong on there! I broke the Gaian law! But who cares, nobody gave a sh*t, nobody saw, blahblah.
Well thank you Menewsha for giving us an alternate, safe and secure Gaia Online. At least we don't have virtual programs like towns where people hide and cyber!

this site is fun and all but I still am on gaia a lot more. So I would say that I like that one more

I was on gaia for about three years and liked but quit a few weks ago because it was getting too annoying with everything being changed and the glitches.
It's a bummer cause my account was finally worth something after that. XD But the site was to annoying and getting confusing. I like this site so I think it is better.

They both got their good and bad sides (:

To be honest, I tend to log onto gaia more than menewsha. I guess its because I've been on that site for so long that I know my way around. Plus it's easier for me to make gold.
Whereas with menewsha, I kind of dislike the idea that one of the major ways to earn gold is to post on the forums. I'm a pretty shy and withdrawn person so that took me awhile to adjust. Plus everything appears a bit more complicated, but I guess I'm still unfamiliar with this site. But I do like how much of the user base is more mature than gains. I don't think I've met a disrespectful user here yet. Each site has their ups and downs.

I go on Gaia more than Meneshwa. I just signed up to Meneshwa so I dont really know anyone yet but I knoww quite a few on gaia. My friend on gaia told me about meneshwa so I thought Id come over here and have a look at it. Its not bad but Its alot harder to earn gold than in gaia.
But then again everything on gaia is inflated.

I am new here. I found this site from gaia when there was a glitch or something. And I have been on gaia since 05...Its been forever. But This site has its ups...and downs.... But so does gaia. But the more I'm on here I'm somewhat liking this site better...Everyone on gaia is money hungry or illiterate or rude or just dumb and doesn't talk in nothing but TEXT TALK! I also go on both sites..I have been a Gaia Dork since 05 as I had said. But I am becoming a Mene Geek due to the factor everyone is nice here, they are literate, AND they are not money hungry and or ignorant!!! So Menewsha is currently out beating Gaia..I will forever be a Gaian but I am also going to continue to be a Menewshan! Gaian and Menewshan. Even all my fellow gaians I talk to left Gaia...Wonder if they came here. Now I am curious.

I have only been on this site for a few days. I would have to say that this site is better in a few ways. I like how nice people are. And there is not a lot of flaming.

I really hate gaia. I was on it in 2004 but then it became too commercialized and n00bz and adds started to ruin it. Like seriously. they have a garden for razors now xD

I was searching for a better site to replace mene and i seriously looked at all the sites like zantarni,Solia,animezone, etc. but i thought all their avis looked weird
when i finally found mene i loved their avis and joined right away. It was love at first sight! <3
now every time i look at gaia avis they look so weird to me

I think Menewsha. I haven't been very active until just now even though I joined in '07. It seems to have what I used to love about Gaia in '04.

I quit Gaia a few months ago.

I got sick of all the cash items and the fact that they had released gambling items that you paid for with real money. I think it is wrong to offer those to minors, and because the odds on the most desirable items are so ridiculous I think it gets them hooked. It eventually got too much. By that point I was only there for the Avatars and some people that posted in the Avatar arena forum. Those things even ruined my enjoyment of the avatars. I used to love the community feeling Gaia had back at the start... it actually seemed like every new thing they added made the community disappear even more!

I'll probably go back to Gaia once a year for their Halloween events, and occassionally to drop in and see what has happened to the site. But I'll never be active, or spend another penny on it.

i'd say mene is way better...gaia is getting crappier each day, and too greedy...the updates are all about "real money" stuffs.. :S

I can't say I hate Gaia.It kept me entertained for more than two years.But it is indeed getting kinda fake and it has lost its original appeal.However I'm really fond of the memories it has offered me.
Nowadays I don't log in as much and because I felt I needed something new I registered on Menewsha.I like the overall atmosphere here and I have to get over the fact that Gaia isn't what it was.

I hate Gaia, it's an utter pile of shit nowadays, but I still like it more than Mene. I'm not insulting Mene or anything, there's just something about the influx of people (although stupid and unruly) and lack of rules that's more interesting. ;\ Mene is a very nice and laid back place, though.

I've been on Gaia for six years and it's no contest that Menewsha blows Gaia right out of the water. Gaia may have a larger number of users and more items but Mene has what Gaia lost so many years ago, a genuine community. I'd take that over the shit hole Gaia is now any day.

At first I was skeptic about coming to this site, however I soon learned that people here are much nicer than those on gaia.
Reason 1) You show up in your underwear on gaia, people call you a noob. On Menewsha they welcome you and aren't rude.
Reason 2) You can wear more than one pose of an item at a time on this site. On gaia you need like 10 of them to complete one set.
Reason 3) The layering here is a lot nicer than gaia.
Reason 4) Items on this site come in so many fun and different colors so its easy to mach.
Reason 5) No cash shop.
Reason 6) Limit on how much gold you can earn by playing games.
Reason 7) You have to work for gold here.

I think it's really a toss up. It depends on the type of person you are and what type of interaction you want to have with people. I like that on gaia you can have more instant conversation with people (faster paced forums, instant chat through game rooms, etc), but I feel that the quality of interaction is much better here. Being an adult I was getting overly frustrated with 14 year olds looking to hook up on gaia. I'd rather not be on the pedo list, thanks. I like the games a lot better here and the mature community, but I like that there is more customization on gaia with profiles and the like. Like I said, both sites have positives and negatives.
