Beep beep beep. My alarm clock sprang alive. My body was lifted by my weak muscles and my eyes met the floor and looked up. A reflection of me was there looking dead my whispy black hair curled down my sloping shoulders I was wearing a fading yellow tee shirt and some old un-clean shorts. My eyes moved back and forth on the floor, staring at a hockey puck eyeing the little scratch mark on the side. It seemed the only thing was in alive in my room was my mum's old alarm clock. I rose from the weak floor boards that could crash at any minute. The walls were yellow but caked with dirt. It was dull and dreary. The windows were crossed with steel bars and grime smeared on. I noticed a slightly green bookcase filled with maggots and old dolls i had had when i was little. I looked out silently then stepped over the hockey puck and moved through the unhinged door. I stepped out into the hall. My eyes approached a large picture I just realized was there. It was a lady. She looked tall and ghastly. Her eyes seemed to look at me. My hand reached onto the floor and grabbed a dirty hankerchief off the floor. Carefully, i waved it onto the painting scooping up the dust seeing the lady more clearly. I let my hand rest onto the staircase rail. It had curlicues of metal on the bottom and dusty wood on top. On the dust caked counter a old toaster was left there. A crumpled water bottle with a ant trying to crawl out sat next to the rusting toaster and there was a half hinged cupboard that sloped downwards and the marble was dull and the kitchen window was filled with dirt surrounding me from the fresh out side air and bugs and possibly life that i would enjoy. I walked to the front of the house and sat on the stairs. My mind raced full of thoughts if i should go out and see the world for once. Locked up, i ran passing through the sheet covering the long narrow table in the dining room shaking the small china cabinet. I wrapped my hand around the backdoor knob. its cold touch made me gasp. I tugged it and it relesed, a whoosh of cool air swept across my face and a felt a tingly feeling in my head. I closed my eyes and i slid down on my knees. My head tugged my spine up to crane my neck to the sun. i breathed slowly and opened my eyes. Greens and browns swirled together before my watery eyes. The breeze tickled my cheeks and i smiled, i stood up sighing slowly, i ran
