Salem just stared at Matt while he talked, only at the end when he closed his eyes did she look at the tree. She waited for a moment to see if he was messing with her, but he didn't give anything away. So rather, she stood up, leaving her shoes by the water, and walked over to the tree. Walking around it she saw the letters. "It really does exsist," she whispered as she traced her fingers along the letters. This was always the place that the dream started. She never thought the place exsisted.

((it might be lol well i don't take meds for it because of the side effects one of my ex-friends has adhd and bi-polor to and she took the meds and it made her a skitzo and she had to go to the loony bin if you know what i mean lol i am running on sugar and caffine right now lol man i am on a unwriters block roll lol))

"well it is a hot day and i feel like a siwm." Mat said as he got up and strip down to the shorts he always wore underneath his pants over his boxxers. He climbbed one of the trees nearest to the waterfall. When he reached the top he smiled stupidly down at Salem and waved. He walked to the edge or the waterfall and looked down. He saw the deep waters below him, what he was about to do was stupid and looked dangerous. He turnned his back towards the pond and Salem. He countted to three, and he backflipped off the clif as he was falling he went into a dive. Hitting the water hard, he went deep, deeper than he had been since Salem left. He stayed down there below the water for a little while, searching for the promise ring that was thrown in there eight years agao.

Salem watched as Matt climed up the waterfall, there was no way he was going to jump. He then turned his back to her and she started thinking, Is he really going to? That's when he did it and almost the instant he hit the water, he disappeared. She waited a few moments but he didn't come up. She ran over to the water, kneeing before it and looked in the water. "Matt?" She called, pretty much talking to the water. She wasn't sure why she thought it would accomplish anything, but she did.

Zack laughed when he saw Lyna rush towards the Hot Topic. Following much more sedately, he wondered how long it would take for her to remember him, if she ever did. Sauntering over to the shelves of candy (His favorite part of the store) he squatted down to examine them. Grabbing a package of Sour Patch Kids, Gummy Bears, Sweet Tarts (The ginormous, chewable kind), and a peculiar box of dead grasshoppers, he got up and placed them on the counter in front of the cashier.
"That all?" she asked, her voice dull. The store wasn't all that bust today.
"Yep," Zack answered, pulling out his wallet from the back pocket of his jeans. Placing a ten-dollar bill down, he looked around the store, looking to see if Lyna had found anything. Grabbing the candy and change, he opened up pack of Sweet Tarts and popped a whole one in his mouth.

Tenshi's face adopted a light pink flush as Night pulled away and she coughed lightly and avoided the look he was giving her, certain it would only fluster her more than she already was. Then she got up gracefully and took his larger hand into her smaller ones and tugged on his arm, "Let's go...'kaa-san should be done with the snacks now..." she said.

Night smiled and nodded. "Of course." he said liking having her hand in his. He opened the room door and walked with her down the stairs. He had a soft smile on his face as he watched his feet. He still couldn't believe he had done it. He had kissed her. His mind was having a hard time wrapping around it but his heart was so happy it was doing back flips.

Lyna walked over to the register setting down ten different bottles of hair dye, and about twelve cans of silly string, a Gir alarm clock, and a bigger bag. She didn't say anything to the clerk when she got excitted when she saw her. She just payed for the stuff and shoved it into her new bag. "Lets get out of here before she hypervinaltes." She said as she grabbed Zack's hand and pulled him out the store, she had gotten her alarm clock, and other things. She grinned when she tought about what she planned on doing later.

When Matt had found what he was looking for he swam to the surface. He gaspped for air, he had held his breathe far longger than he normally did almost drowning him self, he sawm over to the shore, pulling himself out, and grinned stupidly at Salem. He saw the worried look on her face and couldn't help but grin even more. "Hey, don't look like that. We used to do that all the time." Matt said as he chuclked, remembering the frist time that Salem had jumpped from the waterfall, she had scared the ever living out of him. He held up the ring, showing Salem even though it was a little dirty, and dull.

"We used to do what?" Salem asked before looking at the waterfall. "Jump from there?" She asked almost amazed that her of all people had done that. Her eyes trailed the fall though, she had remembered doing such things in her dreams, but for some reason she always woke up once she hit the water.

Looking back she noticed Matt holding something. "What is that?" She asked him as she took it and looked at it. It was silver and boy was it beautiful even in its worn state. Looking at that reminded her of a glint of light and a small splash that always led to her jumping into the water and ultimately waking up. It never made any sense to her. Then without thinking she whispered, "Will you help me figure out what these dreams mean?" She didn't even realized she had said anything as she stared at the ring, then the water and the fall, then to the tree before looking at Matt and then the ring again.

"Yes, we jumpped from there. I will help you figure anything out, Salem" He said the last part softly as he watched her carefully. The look on her face just made him get up, walk over to her, and hug her just like he used to when things were troubling her. He didn't like it when she was having problems, he kissed the top of her head. He prayed silently that she woulodn't push him away and run off.

Salem didn't move, not at first. It took her mind some time to register what was going on, and by the time it did, it registered the embrace as safe. A place not to be scared of or be scared of anything while there. Rather than pushing away from him, she just fell into him, leaning against him. She took a deep breath, taking in his scent, and somehow it seemed familiar, and like the hug, safe. She felt relaxed there, the first time in all those years she had been gone and going with 'Shooting Star'. "I just don't know what's going on anymore," she said in a quiet, almost whisper voice as she just sat there, her eyes on his arms and the ground.

"Don't worry, Salem. You will sooner or later." Matt said as he held her closer to him. His cell went off, he let her go and dug it out. When he read the text he sighed heavily, he looked down into Salems eyes and smiled. "Mom, wants me to help her with the food." he said as he told her what the txt was. He leaned down to her and kissed her lightly on the lips, when he pulled back he smiled. He went and saddled and bridaled the horses, handding Angel Star's reins to Salem. He hopped up onto Soot, smiling down at Salem. "You comming?"

Tenshi laughed softly as Night pulled her behind him, this was nice. Not pretending to be a different person, just being herself. When they reached the kitchen she caught the knowing look on her mother's face and flushed a light pink, choosing to hide behind Night. "About time." her mother said, the double meaning behind her words obvious as she set down the food on the table.

Freezing was the only thing that came to Salem's mind when he kissed her, but it wasn't really a choice. Her entire body and mind just kind of stopped working. Even with all her lies and tricks throughout her time being away, a guy never initiated a kiss, not with her. She had always controlled everything, but this time she wasn't, Matt was. The kiss wasn't rough though, like the others guys tried pushing on her once she started it. Rather, it was soft, she liked that. Maybe he wasn't lying to me, she slowly thought to herself.

Matt had been standing there holding Angel Star's reins out to her and she hadn't really noticed that she had moved to take them. It wasn't until he asked if she was coming that she really came to. Shaking her head she looked at the boy, almost comfused, for a second before smiling slightly saying, "Yeah, let's go help your mom." She then hopped on Angel Star and after getting her to walk in a couple tight circles, she stopped in front of Matt, but only for a moment and only long enough to say, "Bet I can beat you there." The challenging glint was evident on her face as her eyes sparkled and a playful smile lay on her face. Wtih a kick and a quick, 'hiy-ya' she had Angel Star running the other way, back toward the barn.

Salem didn't really know what was going on as the scenery whirled around her in a blur. All she knew was that the longer that she hung out with Matt, and the longer she hung out here, the more she remembered. The more that she remembered clarified her dreams more and more and she didn't feel as empty or lost.

Night smiled softly and chuckled when Tenshi stopped following and hid behind him. He then looked at her mom and smiled. He gave he a reasuring smile and then looked at Tenshi still holding her hand. "Hey, it's fine." he said and turned to her. "If anything happens I'll protect you okay?" he said smiling and his eyes gleamed with care. "But I highly doubt your mom is mad." he said looking back at her mother and then chuckled. It was just how it used to be. She would hid behind him and he would protect her or reasure her. He then kissed her head and smiled. Pulling her to the table he sat down and smiled at her motioning for her to sit down as well.

Tenshi pouted slightly and then sat down next to him, “I wasn’t scared of her being mad…it’s just embarrassing…” she murmured. When her eyes landed on the food a smile split her face. Right away she could spot a few of her favorites and she beamed at her mother, “Thank you ‘kaa-san! Thanks for the food.” Her mother laughed, “Don’t worry about it.” Then she headed for the door, “I’m going out now so you two behave alright?” Tenshi half-choked on the food she had been swallowing and turned her head to mock glare at her mother. The older woman could only laugh again as she headed out.

Night chuckled and waved to Tenshi's mother as she left. "I have always wished I had a mothe like yours." he said lightly and smiled. "Yeah I screwed up with another family again..." he said softly and looked at her. "Butsince I'm eighteen I'm gonna go out on my own... So then I don't have to leave this town..." he said softly and set down his snack. "Im sorry I broke my promise to you... I didn't try my hardest to work with a family..." he whispered softly staring at the table.

Tenshi placed her hand on top of his and clasped it tightly, "We're all sorry for something...I'm sure you have your reasons about why it didn't work..." Then she lifted his hand and kissed the knuckles softly, "I'll forgive you, because I did worse...I forgot." She then placed his hand back down and took his face between her cool hands, "I should be asking you to forgive me."

Night was surprised and deeply moved as Tenshi clasped his hand. He then stared deeply into her eyes as she cupped his face with her cool hands and a slow soft smile crept onto his face. "Thank you..." he whispered and put a hand on hers. He then smiled wider slightly and reached out to her and cupped her cheek. "I have already forgiven you... You didn't even have to ask." he whispered softly and then placed a loving kiss upon her lips.

"I think she is back." he said to himself as he kicked Soot till he broke into a run. He caught up to Salem with no problem, he looked at her and grinned. "She isn't a fast runner like her mom, Salem." Matt yelled to her when Soot started to run farther ahead of her. He grinned widely as he turnned forward, leaning forward until his head was righ next to Soot's neck. He knew she didn't know that he and Soot, were in horse races while she was gone. He had always told her that he would someday.
