Me too, I'd be pretty terrified if something went wrong. My son went over without a hitch... I can't imagine a smoother pregnancy. But it makes me a little afraid that something bad is going to happen to this one.

Try not get yourself stressed and just take each day as it comes

Yeah... easier said than done when I can't even tell my mom I'm preg with my boyfriend's kid because every time I go see her she keeps telling me I need to stop seeing him. It's frustrating.

If he makes you happy then that's all that matters.

Honestly, that's how I feel. But I can't just blurt out, "stop stressing me out, you're gonna make me have a miscarriage"... she would just get angrier.

She probibly still sees you as her baby and wants to protect you.

Fey:: Honestly, you should just tell her...I mean, she's just gonna find out in the long run. And maybe the sooner she finds out, the better it will be for you and your baby. If she's gonna harp on you about being with someone who makes you happy and isn't just happy that you're going to give her a grandchild...maybe you should take a little hiatus from her so you aren't under so much stress. :( That sounds a little rough, but my sister had multiple stress induced miscarriages, and that was very hard for her to deal with.
And your mom might be unhappy at the beginning, but hopefully she'll let it go. I mean it wasn't easy for my parents to hear that my 21 year old sister was preggers with a baby with a man who was like twice her age and on drugs. But once we got used to it and things got somewhat better...I mean my parents love both of their granddaughters, and they loved their grandson too, until God decided that He needed him more than we did. :) Anyway, the point is that I think you should tell your mom...

@Kit - I will, but I just found out. And I'd at the very least like to have my first prenatal appointment and know when my due date is. I was hoping to give it the first three months too, so I know there's LESS OF A CHANCE of having the miscarriage. I mean, I remember what it was like when I got pregnant with my last one. I didn't even know the guy and my mom pratically pulled a reverse shot gun wedding on me. I love my parents, I really do. But I don't want to risk losing my baby when it's already happened once. If I can prevent it by delaying it until the biggest part of the risk is out of the way... then maybe everyone will be happy. Maybe me NOT telling her for a while will finally make her realize that her being like she is actually stresses me out enough that I don't want to tell her important things anymore.

I've made it a goal that I want my kids to be able to come to me with anything without fear. If they're doing something they're not supposed to... the first and last words out of my mouth will be I love you... but I'm going to let them know I'm going to be a lot angrier with them hiding important things from me than I will be with the actual act. People make mistakes and I'm going to love them even if those mistakes are really big. But they're their own people and I don't want them to be like me and so unable to make decisions that they walk through life letting people decide things for them. It's not that I don't EVER plan on telling my mom. I just... want to avoid killing my unborn child. Surely that makes sense.

My momma is good like that. I'm not afraid to tell her anything. I'm pretty sure she knows more about me than anyone else does, although I wouldn't bet the bank on that...
The only thing bad about it is, it sort of makes me afraid to be a mother. :sweat: I mean, I couldn't ever be as amazing as my mom is. I would never be good enough.

Good moms are hard to find. I can only hope that I'm doing a better job than mine did. Yeah, she tried really hard. She made a lot of sacrifices. I'm really hoping that I can get past all that without really having to make many sacrifices. It's why I'm trying my hand at college now. Sure, I've got a good job. But it won't be good enough for me to stand on my own without the support of a lover or husband and take care of both my children. That's what I really want.

I think everyone wants that. That's why its so hard to get.
