Yea, but there's a ton of different types of tofu, some don't suck of the flavor as well so to speak XD

Well you have to drain the juice inside it first so it's able to absorb better.
You wrap it in a cloth and put a heavy plate or a plate with something somewhat heavy (not to smash it but slowly push water out) for half an hour.
