I am trying to get a hold of the person who does their hiring but she doesn't have a set schedule or hours so its just calling until I catch her in the office.

Ah... poet is waiting for Safeway's HR office to tell poet if poet is rehirable... but poet can't call the HR because poet isn't allowed to. Poet has been waiting about 5 months for them to call back...

That sucks. Well you must not live in the Midwest. We had Safeway stores in the Northwest but not out here.

I grew up with Safeway Food and Drug but then I grew up in Arizona, New Mexico, Washington and Oregon. There is nothing like that in Iowa and Nebraska. Here we have Supersaver.

I lived there for a year. My dad taught at a 10 grade church school in Chinle, Arizona on the Navajo reservation. Sadly it was a rough year for all of us. They kids were terrible to me and my brother, since we were the only white kids AND the teacher's kids. I came out of that year painfully shy and I have been fighting that shyness ever since.

Well silver... shyness is a wonderful trait you should be proud of ^.^

But to be SO shy that you couldn't have even ask a librarian a question? To have to actual FORCE the words out of your mouth to even ask someone I didn't know, where the bathroom was? I didn't speak unless you spoke to me.
