@Silver: Yes and No, I've been denied once because of Med issues but I'm working through that.

My boyfriend said I should have known not to get on the skates since it had been so long since I skated. I told him that he should have been there to hold me so I wouldn't have fallen. But he had work that night. :/


Azazel, I'll probably salute you regardless. What kind of health issues, if I may ask? I was denied going into the Army when I was in high school for the same reason I shouldn't donate blood. Apparently, I have a heart murmur.

I have a metal plate and six screws in my right arm.

@Silver: I think It'll be ok, I just have to have my follow-up processed.

@Emma: I can never guarantee that I will be able to return home, that's something everyone going into any military branch needs understand and accept. But That isn't saying I won't try my best to complete my job and make it home with every ounce of my being.

Does it hurt, like with the change of weather and all? I hope they let you join though.

@LilillyBear: I was having fun with some friends about 5 years ago in the woods. Long story short 2-3 am rolls around and, running as fast as humanly possible, I find myself on the ground with my arm broken in half over a railroad tie.

I broke my left collar bone as a kid but that was when I was three so I don't remember it.

As for my arm it didn't hurt at all.
Actually a funny story goes with it:

I went into the emergency room with a green vietnam jacket on, that is, it was
stamped and used in the vietnam war. I made the nurse help my get my arm out
from the jacket rather than do what she wanted, that is, to cut the jacket off of
me.

Surprisingly it didn't hurt at all. I was fairly relaxed through it all.

That's good that it didn't hurt. I'm surprised you were able to get the nurse to do that. Most will cut the clothing off regardless of whether you want them to or not. You still have that jacket?

Yeah I can't believe she didn't cut it off.
I dislocated my knee, not the knee cap, and I asked them not to cut my pants because they were my favorite pair and they didn't even pause in cutting. lol

It was quite intensive, I went through an initial alignment surgery,
than an "oops we messed up and now you need a plate" surgery.

I believe we may have met, and yes I am.

@Liz: I do somewhere. It is more or less a trophy.
