I have to disagree with you completely on this. Just because they say its justified doesn't make it true. Regardless of you imaginary tags or labels, regardless of if you are a member or administrator, if something is wrong it's wrong. You should always debate what you feel is right. whether it directly involves you or not. Never take anyone's sole word as law.

Jackie, AKA Jellysundae had shared a VAST amount of Gabriel's personal information with Insomniac. Insomniac then utilized that private information to slander Gabriel in the face of his supporters, and further abuse that private information and use it in further ways against Gabriel. From private conversations to back history. Stuff that was not in her place to share. I'm YET to see an explanation from her as of WHY she thought she should do that.

She did to him what he threatened to do back against her after she had wronged him.

An eye for an eye leaves the world blind, but when you are betrayed by someone you considered a good friend, there needs to be justice dealt out somewhere.

I'm not saying that any of the reasoning one way or another was justified for his banning, just that Inso offered an explanation for it.

Of course this is true, I think you read my post wrong or I explained myself wrongly.
It's not that what you say is justified. It's that administrators have the right to ban whoever they want. You can debate, you must debate, but does it matter in the end? Sadly, no. Because in the end, it's a matter opinions vs opinions. And in the end, it's the one with the most power that pulls the longest end And of course this is wrong, but do you think this kind of things don't happen everywhere? On Mene, I have some faith in the staff, though this situation is handled completely wrong, I agree.
I don't think they are quite proud about the way this was handled either.

However, public debate about it may change things for the future perhaps.

Your link was not moot. I'm extremely glad you brought it up, and that Insomniac tried to provide an example as of why Gabe was banned prematurely.

Insomniac is a great politician. He reveals to the public just enough information to gain the common supporting vote.

Like on the Execution thread where he said a conclusion had been reached. Gabriel attempted to extend a private olive branch, one that would end the public fiasco. Insomniac then either mis-read or was just plain stupid, and took it as an ACTUAL apology, which it clearly was not. Gabriel stated "I will apologize and we can put this all behind us" which Inso took as "OH LOOK GUYS IM WRONG I AM SECRETLY APOLOGIZING" which it sure as fuck was not.

He posted an out-of-context message which retarded users will simply take as a "YAY INSOMNIAC WINS" while more intellectual users will question it and simply be shut down.

I do know that I still feel like the whole process of making it public was wrong, and that the situation could and should have been handled a lot better. I might add on the rest of my thoughts if I think I should...

Think if someone you trusted, someone you considered a real friend betrayed all of your secrets to your greatest enemy.

How much would that wound your pride, your trust, everything. When the world turns its back upon you, after you have done nothing but love it. When your former friends turn on you...when you are alone, except for the support of a few people who you have just met.

You utilize what few resources you have left. And you are destroyed for it.

Gabriel, unlike me, did not have the heart to actually destroy Jackie. I am a vengeful girl. I WOULD have put her information all over the net, I would have sent out her e-mail to every single illicit link site I could. I have connections, and I would have exploited them.

In the end, even though she betrayed him, backstabbed him, and violated his trust and his honor, he forgave her, and decided not to take any further action against her.

That shows what kind of person he is. He is much more merciful and forgiving than I will ever be.

@keyori- which version are you watching? How long is it?

@Kylie- yes, I fully am upset with jelly about that one. That is very serious, giving out personal information. That makes me very sick to my stomach. It really is a better person of Gabe to walk away.

He has time to draw up signatures, to make snappy on-liners in threads, but it took
him days to simply unban accounts? such a horrid balance of administrative priorities.

Personally, I found your picture more amusing. I know I've seen the rat head before in some movie or something but I can't place the name. And I have to agree that if he had the time to do that, he had plenty of time to unban a couple accounts.

I'm just glad he changed his stance on your banning Kylie. Because you had little to nothing to do with anything. The alligations earlier in this thread made it sound like you would never be allowed back simply because you lived with the accused. Thats.....not just, or fair.

If that is the case its disheartening.

I haven't personally spoken to any but Insomniac, Jellysundae, and Yanyan.

I understand that Insomniac and Jellysundae may be aggrivated, as I am at them, but not Yan or Juru. The only words I have spoken to Yan were to try and attempt to help them fix a serious glitch in one of their games. A glitch that allows you to win every time and receive 100g every round.

As for Juru, I believe she may have been the one to unban my mule from its dead account status. Although I'm not entirely sure.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't see why they would all be agitated rather than only the two.

It took a great deal of self-restraint on my part. I very sweetly negotiated for the return of my accounts, though for some reason during a two-week period when I was pretty much being ignored, Jelly found it reasonable to block and ignore me so that I couldn't complain to her about how much it sucked to be ignored by Insomniac over my accounts. It showed me just what kind of friend she is.

I have 500 points against my account, two warnings for flaming back in 08 or something like that.

I VERY viciously defend Gabriel, and I believe I earned these warnings when I was defending him as a staff member when he was going against the Menewshan revolutionaries. When he was SERVING the staff by being out on the front lines.

I was warned for it and I really don't care.

I have been with him for 4 years, living with him for 3, and I have known him for over 12 years. I'm very protective of him, same as he is with me.
