Sorry to break it to you, but Mene doesn't allow begging for gold or donations. There are charity threads for newbies in the Charity forum.. and it looks like you can already earn the Ragged Shirt in the Hot Gossip shop, if you're just looking for something to cover yourself up. :)

I have noticed that posting works pretty well for making money pretty quickly on here.

I know that it seems easier to ask people for stuff that they may no longer want, but everyone on here had to work to get their money, so it does not seem very fair to just beg money/items off of the other members.

I (obviously) am new here also, and realize everyone has to start at the beginning.

ljosberinn is correct. Asking for gold and items is considered begging and not allowed. Something to watch out for.

Gold earning may seem a bit daunting at first, but once you get into the swings of things it builds soon enough. ;D
