Call me Fidelis.
Clearly, I am new here or I would not be posting in this thread. I'm not sure what qualifies as an introduction, but I suppose this will do.
I'm currently pursuing a B.A. in English on a Creative Writing Track. My minor is going to be physics. I love numbers, and I love writing creatively, I can't live without either (well, I could but that would be a depressing existence).
The language I'm taking is Chinese and I've taken Spanish before that.
I enjoy Fencing and beating the heck out of people with giant foam swords.
Video games are also my forte.
Nice to meet you all!

Hey Fidelis! ^___^

Wow, creative writing!
I can't write at all...as my dead essay scores prove.
T.T;
And I suck at physics. xDDD You're like...the complete opposite of me.
I barely got an A the second semester...guh. And it was just basic Honors Physics. T.T

CHINESE! I'm chinese. :3
...[ni] [hao]! :]
I'd type in Chinese, but this computer doesn't have language settings...
And I'm taking Spanish. ^___^
So hola. ;3

I'm also majoring in English. : ) My minor's East Asian Languages & Lit, but with Japanese instead of Chinese. I also took Italian for a year and a half, but sadly I couldn't fit it into my schedule this semester. ;.;

Welcome to Menewsha!

Ah ha! I didn't do well in physics (I got a B) but I still love it.
你好 and hola to you too!
It's depressing that you lack language settings.

I suckkkkkkkkkkkkkk at physics, goodness.
Anything with numbers means automatic fail.
Don't ask me why I'm taking AP Calculus, I have NO freakin clue.
...or maybe it was my parents forcing me to. x_x

I KNOW RIGHT.
D:
My old computer had it, but sadly I've had to reformat this one, and all my old settings and cool stuff are gone.
/too lazy to reinstall

Thanks guys!
I just took regular Honors Calc and Honors Physics, but my teacher in physics was convinced we were an AP Class. And wow at the Asian Language & Lit minor. My college only offers and Asian Studies minor because there are not nearly enough people interested in it.

Foam weapon fights! I miss doing that up at the college. I was pretty good with my foam broadsword.

I've taken fencing too, kept getting into trouble because I took Taekwondo first, and there they taught you to move out of the way if you could of an attack. The whole moving the flimsy foil in the way seemed a bad way to defend yourself. *Sweatdrop*

We're supposed to retreat and parry, but if it's a bad day someone will usually just stab, stab, and stab some more hoping t get priority. Come to think of it that's how I treated Tae Kwon Do too...No wonder I was so terrible at it. Haha.

Yeah... well when you're learning you're getting stabbed at. Didn't help that most of the time my sparing partner was the person who stole my boyfriend. She loved adding insult to injury.

It was fun while I had the lessons though. I was able to vent frustrations out and not get into trouble.

Bwahaha. That's true. I think the worst thing we've ever done to a new fencer is stuck them out on a strip after three or four lessons. Against a C-ranked veteran. It could have been worse, but it was still fairly amusing.

Ugh... sounds like my first tournament.

I was the new fencer. Oh the nightmares!

Ouch. If there's one thing we would never do is force someone into a tournament. I'm just now getting to my first one. TO THE HOLY GRAIL!! That excites me.

Hey Fidelis and welcome to Mene! If you like writing stories, you could perhaps try posting some of them in the literature forum for feedback - it's a sure way to earn you plenty of gold since you earn more gold the longer your posts are here!
Also, since you seem to enjoy languages, I wanted to tell you I have a thread in the Menewsha Nation where you can chat in different languages; the link is in my signature. The Menewsha Nation is, regrettably, the only place where you can do that, since otherwise it could be a form of spam. There are also other threads there dedicated to other languages than English, I'm sure there is a Spanish thread there and I wouldn't be surprised if there's a Chinese one as well. :)

-flails her arms before loosing her balance and falling forward- Erk! -whines softly sitting up and smiling sheepishly.- Um. Hi! It's nice to meet you. I'm new as well -dusts herself off.- I could have been smart and taken English as my major.. but I wanted to be an artists... And then I dropped out, because I didn't want to be a fine arts major, I wanted to go for illustration, and my college didn't offer that and the college that did is across the country and is out of my price range. -sighs- So I have collected a 'shame on you' look from both parental units. But if I'm not remotely interested in the subject it won't hold my attention. I tool creative writing and short fiction as extra classes, along with Japanese. I have a bad habit of not studying.. the English electives I did fine in.. Japanese.. not so much. -scratches her cheek- anyway, welcome to Mene from one newbie to another.

Hello! Welcome to menewsha.

I also enjoy numbers and writing, and physics is one of my favorite subjects. It's wonderful to know that there are others out there that like those things too c:

Oh, that's pretty nifty. I can see why in highschool fencing they would have just thrown you onto the strip. I do not miss it...

It's great that you're writing poetry in Business Administration! I remember we discussed in my creative writing class how writing poetry is important because it activates so many parts of the brain that normally go untouched.
