It used to bother my mom when people mistook her for a guy with her voice. Though, I always found it odd that she didn't sound like a guy to me. Her voice was a little deep but I think it was from smoking.

I'm always surprised by my own voice when I hear recordings of myself. For whatever reason I expect my voice to be deeper or at a lower pitch but it wouldn't make sense since I sing soprano.

I did that once before... It's the reason I make sure I know who I'm talking to before I say too much.
