A flood of anger washed over Eleanor at the way he looked at her, she knew that anger, but before she could do anything else she was back on her feet and holding the hunter by the collar of his shirt. "Do not look at her that way, she is not food for you or any other hunter!" She yelled, but it was not her voice that came out; it was Arrow's. There was a hatred in her eyes now as the voice hissed, "I stopped you once and I will do it again, whether I am alive or not. I will protect Eleanor from you!" It was almost a challenging voice at that, but the power that Arrow had now was very little compared to before. He had to rely on Eleanor's strength and everything now, and they were far less than his own once were.

Torrence saw the wide eyed look on Eleanor's face. It almost put her into a panic but instead she kept her cool and ran over to Eleanor. "No.. Im not leaving you with this monster. Your unprotected and i cant lose another person." Her eyes showed determination as she kept herself inbetween the man and her friend. She got into a stance she could fight with. Thats when she took a quick glance at the girl knowing she would be angry with her for not leaving.

Finally.... I can have some fun now. And theres nothing you can do about it Damian.

Your not taking her over. Ill fight for her. We dont even really now who you are.

Torrence ignored the fight that started raging inside who of who was going to take over her. She kept her eyes on the man. "Leave if your not hungry. Theres no reason to be here unless your killing for fun or trying to grab soe breakfast. I will kill you if you try to come near us." Eleanor jumped up before she could do anything and it was Arrow speaking...

Melik gave her a weird look. "Umm...okay?"

Melik jumped into the air. "YIPPY!"

Grabbing the hunter, flipped out the window. Landing on the street below, he felt his legs cave in a bit from the weight, but this didn't phase him. He rose so he was on his toes and then, he took off. He was looking for an ideal spot.

Leaping over hugs and scaling up the large walls were but simple tasks for Melik. Like he said, he was an ex-soldier. Well, more like an ex-samurai that decided to become a rogue ninja.

Stopping atop a wall that towered the city, he placed the woman at his side. "Ta-da! This is my favorite place to go and watch people. You can see the whole town fro..." his eyes focused on something in the distance. "$#!T!" Melik's body lunged forward. "My friends are in trouble!"

Squatting down so his legs were bent below his, Melik looked as if he were going to do nothing.

Five...four...three...two.....

He sprung to his feet and, using the wall as a lever, he thrust himself off the wall with tremendous speed.

He was soaring high above with his hair dancing in the wind. As he drew nearer, he curled himself up into a ball. His spped picked up, but his mass was pulling him down.

THUD!

Landing on all fours and with his hair slowly falling into place, Melik lifted his head to the male hunter before him. His eyes were that deep crimson full of hatred, but passion. He adverted his eyes to were Atez was. I wonder, will she follow?

Melik, who was still on all fours, was now giving the hunter a death glare. "If you dare harm these girls... then I will have no choice but to kill you." He saw the male hunter cock his head some as Melik's voice deepened. He wasn't sure if he was going to fight or whether he was going to run, but what he did know was that he had to help his friends.

He rose to his feet and pulled out his throwing knives. "Tch, I never should have gotten rid of my Naginata."

Just then, as though it were an act of some god, maybe his sun goddess, Melik's weapon fell from the sky.

Pulling it back behind him so he could rest his arms on it, he let out a wicked laugh. "Oh boy, now we're talkin." Moving the blade toward the hunter, he added, "I was an ex-samurai, so here is your only warning. Leave now, or I will kill you."


((Ha ha, not sure if the hunter is going to run, but, since Melik likes to try and play the hero, he decided he wanted to help back the girls up. Also, where did Torrence leave Yumi?))

Atez was already strangely dizzy and the sudden movement wasn't really helping. She had thought at first that she just needed a little more time to get used to taking in this blood but it was still effecting her like a poison and not being negated by the experimental aspect. At least that's what it felt like.

Being outside helped to clear her head and she did like to see the stars. However it seemed Melik and his insanity was still all over the place. One minute he wanted to be romantic with her, the next he was running off to do something else. His friends was it this time? Seriously, that boy needed to be controlled.

Atez watched him run off as she took in a few deep breaths of fresh air. Sitting there seemed peaceful and yet... something in the wind was chilling her to the bone.

What was that?

What was what? I didn't notice anything.

I could have sworn I felt... maybe it was nothing.

Probably just the wind.

Torrence was conscious again with Damian standing right next to her. He was about to ask if she was alright to walk before Melik came up and dragged her by the hair. She tried to fight back but it was useless. He snapped his fingers and the world around her seemed to swirl and change like a slowed darkness creeping into her eyes thinking that he might have killed her or something. But thats when she saw it. It was a group of nuns and a church that he had brought her to. Why though. What was the reason for him to bring her here. He released her head which made her vody fall to the ground from the unexpected release. For some reason she had thought he would do something different seeing how they were in front of a bunch of church goers while he was some kind of demon. She felt weak from being dragged around so much not being able to fight back like she shouldve.

Melik started to talk. He was apologizing for everything he had done to her. As he spoke she started to stand slowly and looked at him. Damian was next to her trying to help her up while she used one of the pews ((Church benches)) at the same time. She looked at him oddly. He was talking about love and how he wished the woman that had seemed to have held him captive was only holding his heart that was attatched to her due to his weakness. Madly in love with her because she was stronger? He really was a fool. But what happened to the fun loving sometimes annoying Melik that she knew since they had both been put into those projects, experiments?

Melik apologized to her again and told her about how he couldnt feel emotions anymore. What did she think that she was any different? For christ sake she showed emotions for the first time in the room with Eleanor. She left him at the cafe to be devoured by an evil being who only wanted to become immortal. Before she could speak he put something glass on her wrist and vanished. The glass was cold and a little heavy but she found she wasnt able to move it from where it was around her wrist. In a sort of way it comforted her that he gave her something for his.... well atrosities towards her. Yes she felt betrayed but she wasnt going to fight him anymore than he would fight her. She didnt want him to be with the hunter anymore either. The demon he had on the inside would be able to be tamed if only he had just stayed. Or would it. She didnt know but she wouldve rather he didnt go off on his own.

So he gave you something huh? We might want to get going... You have to get back to the apartment and sleep. Damian said concerned for Eleanor.

I know... I just dont know what to do anymore. Its like a conflict is inside me. Its like he doesnt mean what he says about her but he does at the same time. I dont know. Torrence started walking out of the church lazily and found she was miles away from the apartment. Luckily he had let her keep her phone which hadnt gotten smashed from being thrown and dragged around.

We have to find a way to get back... Damian said. His voice was fading.

Another voice came into play. You want to fight dont you? Get off your lazy but and go find a place that will help you fight these demons or i will do it for you you weakling. Torrence recognized the voice who seemed harsh to her. Was this her demon that was laying inside of her or just another personality due to the stress she had been in? She was still walking towards town to figure out what was happening to her. The two voices inside her head fought for control against her trying to gain control of her body. Was this what multiple personality felt like or was it something else. Memories perhaps.

Atez sighed, then looked towards where Melik had run off to. Him and his friends...

"I'm not sure" she mumbled to herself, a confused look upon her face. She shrugged it off, "Perhaps I'm thinking too much about this. We are just playing with him after all..."

"Really now?" a male voice spoke from behind her, gliding smoothly along the wind to her slightly pointed ears. "Because it sounds like you're starting to go soft"

Atez stiffened at the voice, a chill running down her spine as she recognized the sound. She didn't dare turn to look, she wasn't even sure she would see anything. "W-who are you?" she whispered, the air around her seemed to get cold. It couldn't possibly be who she thought it was. That man was dead, long dead. Although his was one of the few she had not seen personally...

"You don't know?" he cooed in her ear. Atez shivered, she could feel a darkness creeping upon behind her, that darkness that followed him everywhere, shrouding his identity from the world. He touched her hand, she opened her mouth to scream but no sound followed. His breath was cold at the side of her neck, everything about him was freezing. "It's been so long... I have missed you, sister."

((Ha ha, yeah I read all that but I figured you hadn't traveled that far. I figured Torrence was outside the church area. Ha ha, my bad. Next time I'll ask for you to clarify where you're standing. I guess we'll just go with that Torrence was too busy trying to get back to Eleanor that she didn't even realize Melik had dropped a girl off with her and had handed her Eleanor's house number.))

Melik suddenly lost interest in the fight. "Ummm, dude, I'm not really in the mood to fight you anymore. Can we postpone this? How about tomorrow night?"

Melik looked over to where Atez was. Something felt off, but he wasn't really sure.

He looked from Torrence to Eleanor. "Sorry girls, but I think I may need to help elsewhere. You're both pretty strong, you'll do just fine on your own if you fight together."

Leaping from roof to roof, he moved closer to his hunter. He scaled up the wall, and finally flipped up next to her. His back was to her though, he was still worried about his friends.

"Atez...or Zeta...whichever you are... had I been in trouble, would you have come to save me?"

The rooftop was dark, Atez could hardly be seen within it. She looked up at Melik from where she sat, there was fear in her silver gaze though she tried to hide it in her voice. She could not allow him to know who else was there. "Would you expect such a thing from me?" she questioned, trying to cover up her tone with one of anger.

Leave-Make him leave or run! Don't just sit there Atez! Move!

I c-can't feel my legs... Atez was trembling, she was beginning to understand why she wasn't getting any stronger. All this time her brother had been watching, watching and stealing away every bit of strength she had acquired. "Melik" she spoke as firmly as she could, "return to your friends." At this point there was nothing he could do, even if Melik turned to look Atez knew he would see nothing around her. Her brother was someone who could only be seen if he wanted to be.

Atez didn't move from spot, even though her brother had backed off into the darkness to avoid being seen, she could feel his eyes on her; they were watching her, judging her. Her hand still felt cold even though he no longer touched it and she rubbed the back of her neck anxiously.

yumi took the tiara that melik gave her off of her head as he walked away and sniffed. she looked at the one he called torrense and frowned. "im sorry to have bothered you, but i am not very comforatable in religious-based atmospheres." she apolagized and lost the fight a few moments later. the church was nice and the nuns in it were almost nicer. the fater of the church showed her to a room and before she knew it she was bathed, clothed, no longer lonely, and her stomach was completely full for once in a very long time. she knew it wouldnt last though. and she apolagized quietly before looking to the window and climbing out. she let go of the ledge and dropped to the ground. falls from two story buildings didnt affect her much, but they still took their toll after awile. she wondered the alleys again, being sure not to go towards to children's bodies again and found herself back in the streets of crowded people again. she sighed in relief and fell into step with them all, beginning her search (again) for her protector balthazar.

"No, I didn't do it. I wasn't even a protector before this, i was a bodyguard. I guess it's kind of similar." She watched him sip at his drink. "But as a bodyguard we had to remain silent and be vigilant at all times. It's not like now where i can talk to you." She looked around the small sushi bar glancing briefly at the other customers.

"Kitty." Nicholai said as he climbed on a rock wall and followed the cat as it walked. "You are so cute and I just want to pet you." He reached his hand out from beyond the sleeve of the black cloak to touch the cat's head, but it dashed away just as he tried. "Kitty, come back." He put on a sad face and then dangled his feet off the rock wall, kicking back and forth. "Damn it is boring here." He said as he pushed himself off the wall, landing flatly on his feet, sending a mild pain throughout his foot. "Ow ow ow." He said quickly, the pain slowly subsiding. His cloak concealed the majority of hisbody, however, it still told everyone who he was. Sometimes this had its benefits and at others it caused him great distress, yet it had become something that he was used to. There were times when he considered to just throw it away and others where he held to it with dear life. Such a strange one he was.
After resting for a while, he decided that it was time to move on. The city was still new to him and he was afraid to stay in one place for too long, and because of a few stray animals that he found cute, he had already been there for longer than he would normally want to. So, hiding in the shadows of the buildings, he made his way down the road.
