Nieko laughed. "They just get to live normal lives. In the society I grew up in, men are to serve their owners. Men are also to treat women with the utmost respect." He smiled. "You see, where I'm from, women rule over men. It's very rare for a male to be ruling."

He poked a bubble she made. "Am I boring you?" He stood up in the water and looked about the tub. "I'd leave you be, but I'm afraid you might drown yourself," he teased at her. "I should have clothed you, we could have been sitting in the hot tub with Melik and Rroy and your friend... Tor-Ta-To... Torrence!" He frowned at himself. "How could I not remember such a lovely lady's name. I'm losing it." He got out of the tub and walked over to a cupboard. Rushing back to Eleanor, he dumped a pile of rose peddles into the tub. "YAY! So pretty!" Nieko was cheery and gay acting now. It was obvious that he and Melik had a lot in common - they both loved cute and pretty things.

"Did you ever want to do it though?" Eleanor asked, her voice still low as she watched Nieko get out of the tub. She didn't like his statement when he stood up and said louder than she would've liked, "No!" Wincing at the pain in her throat, Eleanor held it a little before adding, softly, "Please, don't go..." Her voice trailed off when he got out though. She hadn't caught his little 'hot tub' bit, she just felt alone again. She slid back into the water just expecting Nieko to leave, she didn't want to watch someone else walk away from her.

She didn't have to worry though because Nieko soon returned, and it wasn't until she saw a bunch of small-ish red shapes hit the water. Eleanor looked up to see Nieko all bright eyed as he poured the rest of the petals in. He hadn't left her at all, he was simply getting them. This brought a small smile to her face, an appearance that had been so alien since Arrow had left her. She liked it though, it meant things were changing. There were people around her. People that seemed to care for her and make her feel safe.

((Sorry... my comp crashed at like 1 after i did a virus scan... Ironic huh?))

Torrence looked suprised when Rroy had come over to her in the dark. She was at a loss for words when the man started to talk about her losses though she had only been looking for her friend. He looked like he was straining to be compassionate. She truly wanted to say something but she couldnt think of anything to say. The memory she had been watching through unconsciousness was something he had picked up on.

The man put his hand on her forehead telling her to be calm. The only other person who had done this was Damian. He always knew what to do to calm her. She let this go on for the several minutes it did with her eyes closed then she looked at him when he stopped. He started to retreat down the stairs. She followed him to leave Eleanor in peace. He disappeared out the door after telling her that he had unfinished buisness. She wanted to go with him so she walked out the door to see if he was there but he was gone. She walked back inside and went towards Melik who was still sleeping on the couch. She sat there next to him and just watched for a while.

((Haha, that's kinda funny in a sad way XD ))

Nieko tossed something at Eleanor. "It's a bathing suit. Put it on." He moved away and hid behind a Japanese styled folding wall, or what he called a 'changing room.'

Walking out from behind it, Nieko looked down at himself. "Damn, I really am a toothpick." He poked at his stomach.

His scarf was missing! It was something he never took off, but, seeing that he was now in a bathing suit, Nieko felt he no longer needed to wear it. He grabbed some bottles and dumped them into the tub. Bubble began to appear everywhere. "My... my lover used to love flower peddles and bubbles in her bath." He looked at Eleanor. His eyes were sad as he recalled his dead lover. "So much has happened. Friends and family are now gone. It appears that Rroy, Melik, and myself are the only ones left...."

With all the newly formed bubbles veiling Eleanor, Nieko slipped into the hot tub. "HOTTTTTTTTTT!" He jumped out and ran around the tub. He looked at her. "Why didn't you tell me to turn down the heat?" He walked over to the wall and adjusted the temperature. Finally approving, he got back in to join Eleanor.

He flashed her a naughty grin. "Better get that suit on, or I may just be tempted to do things with you." He, of course, was joking. Seduction wasn't really his style. He preferred passion, a rough kind of passion.

Remembering something Eleanor asked him, he spoke. "Did I ever want it? No. But the moment I met Rroy, I did. Rroy is my life now. Without him, I would be dead. He and I are very close. We're not a thing, but a lot of people think we are." Nieko blushed. "Sometimes I think we are."

(( Melik: CREEPER! SHE IS WATCHING ME SLEEP! :P ))

Napping very peacefully, Melik's eyes finally opened. He yawned. "Hey, Rroy-sama... could you make me some cookies?" He rubbed his eyes and realized he'd mistaken Torrence for Rroy. "TORRENCE!" He pounced on her. "ATEZ!" He ran out the door without saying another word.

Melik ran back to where he had last been with the hunter. "Atez? Atez! Where are you?" He spun around. Frowning, he continued to search for her alone.

He laughed as he looked around at where Nieko and Rroy first appeared before Torrence and Eleanor. He saw something move behind him. "Atez?!!!!" He smiled toward the figure.

"Oof!" Rroy suddenly fell from nowhere in front of Torrence. "Heh, I need to work on my landings some...." He looked around. "Did Melik run off to his hunter?" Rroy saw her nod. "Ah, well. I've finished what I wanted. I have nothing to do now. Would you like to practice fighting with me? I promise, I'll be less psychotic this time around. I would like to further analyze you and offer you some tips. You are extremely skilled and you may have grown out of your weapon. You see, everyone has a weapon that helps them. A weapon is but a mere extension of the body. I believe you may have outgrown your tool. If you have, I believe you should upgrade."

He moved off into another room. Returning, he held out two golden swords. They looked very similar to Torrence's current set only these were lighter and longer. "You can have these if you would like. I have no use for them." He smiled as he offered Torrence the swords.

Torrence was almost thrown backwards from being pounced on by Melik. But then almost immediately he jumped up and was gone. She put her hand up pointing at Where Melik was and where Melik had gone. She pointed to the two places over and over again.

Rroy appeared in front of her falling which made her fly backwards into the couch she was on. He asked about Melik but she was too suprised to speak so she just nodded her head to his question. He started talking about fighting him which scared her to death right now, even if he did it was not going to be psycotic. He left and brought her two new swords which seemed to be lightweight and longer. She didnt mind the gold and he could definately help her out with her fighting skills. "Ok umm. Ill get some food first and then we can fight ok?" She started to walk towards the kitchen but turned around quickly. "I uh... just wanted to say thanks. One for the swords two for not leaving me when i fainted... Im just not use to this"

Eleanor just watched what Nieko did, it confused her slightly. Once he was behind the wall she picked up her cup again, not really thinking too much about the suit that he had tossed at her. She just leaned back against the tub and sipped at the hot liquid, it felt and tasted so good. She mentally laughed at how he poked his belly, even though he was skinny it didn't take away his beauty, it enhanced it really. It made Eleanor rather self conscious as she looked down at her hidden body.

She wanted to ask him about his passed lover but she couldn't bring herself to. He hadn't asked about Arrow, so she felt like it would be prying. With him in mind the girl could only mentally laugh at Nieko's reaction to the water. She liked it hot, it almost made her forget everything and just focus on that. She felt the water start to slowly cool, but it didn't matter, it still felt good. She put the half drank tea down when he got in the tub.

Eleanor had almost forgotten her lack of clothing when Nieko got in, that was, until he said something about it. She looked away quickly, at this point the heat of the water caused her to be red enough without her having to worry about him seeing her blush. She quickly fished around the water for the suit he had tossed her and put it on as quickly as she could. She wasn't all that sure whether he had been joking or not, but she wasn't going to take any chances. Swim suit on, Eleanor pulled her knees to her chest and rested her chin on them. She stared at Nieko, though she was really just zoned out. The thoughts of the day and beyond going through her mind.

Rroy smiled at Torrence. "Heh, don't thank me. I'm not worthy of such words." He followed her into the kitchen. "What shall I make for you? I have a policy in this house that says no guest is allowed to work. So what'll it be? I can cook just about anything for you."

The hatred that once filled his eyes was gone. They now sparkled in the light as he stood waiting to prepare her a meal.


Nieko looked behind him. "Whatcha staring at?" He found a speck on the wall behind him. "Oh teh noes! Rroy-kun is going to kill me if... jay kay!" He stuck out his tongue. "Am I really that weird looking that you must stare? Or maybe... maybe... nah." He flashed her a charming grin.

"So, I don't believe I've caught your name yet. And, I know it's rude to ask, but just how old are you? I think I ought to know what I'm getting myself into."

He sneezed. Nieko absolutely hated being wet. Yet, for Eleanor's sake, he acted like he was into it so she wouldn't cry about him leaving her.

"Oh, I'm..." he paused to groan at his age, "28-years-old. I know, I'm old." He frowned. "But hell, of my 28 years, I've been with Rroy since I was about 13...I think. Oh, and then I was engaged to his sister for a while. I think I met her when I was about 17. Yeah. Well, maybe not. I don't really remember anymore." He looked down into the water. "It's sad. One day you're surrounded by a family - sisters and a beautiful fiance - and then the next day, you're all alone. Thank god I still have Rroy. He's all I really have left. He and Melik that is."

Nieko looked up at Eleanor. "To be honest, I don't even know what happened. It all played out so quickly. Poor June. I hope she didn't suffer."

He then moved over toward Eleanor. Laughing, Nieko splashed water at Eleanor's neck. He winked at her.

"Ah-Choo!" This time his head bobbed under water. "Wahhh!" Nieko shook off the water. "I think I'm allergic to water." Nieko put his head back under water to clean his hair some. Looking at Eleanor underwater, Nieko started choking.

Finally lifting his head out of the water, he glared at water. "It should be a sin to look that good." The sides of his lips curled up. "...seeing that you took my breathe away." He laughed at his cheesy pick-up line.

Eleanor didn't believe his comment even if it was a pickup line. She was a homeless girl, no one cared enough to ever take her in like this. She always thought there was something wrong with her in that sense. She then hummed slightly and rolled back so the water level reached the base of her ears. "The water's nice," she said as she closed her eyes. "It's so peaceful and calming."

She then sat up again, her long, now all wet hair, plastering itself to her back. She did feel better now that she was cleaning up a bit. Pulling her hands out of the water she looked at the scrapes that were there from when she confronted the hunter. If it wasn't for Rroy and Nieko she probably would still be out there waiting to die. It then registered in her mind that she had not introduced herself yet, even after he had asked about her. "Oh," she said almost surprised at her forgetfulness. "I'm Eleanor," she said as her eyes moved back to him. She drapped her arms over her knees, careful not to hit the scrapes on those as well. "I'm 19," she said, not bringing up the fact that Arrow had been 25 when he died.

She wasn't sure if she wanted to talk about that day, she wasn't sure if she was ready yet. That was a lie. She had been dieing for someone to comfort her about it, she just wouldn't let that be know. Eleanor didn't want to be more of a burden than she already was.

"Uh.... Whatever... Im not in the mood for anything specific." Torrence said smiling back at him. She sat on a stool there trying figure this guy out. He seemed to be one of those evil guys but he didnt seem evil this time he seemed really nice. "So you want to teach me how to fight now? I would be happy to learn" She started to feel some sort of attraction to the man. First hes evil then hes nice. So why was she feeling attracted to him especially after her lover had parished the day before?

Nieko's mouth hung open for a moment, but he quickly closed it. "Eleanor." He smiled as he put his hair into the water. Unlike Eleanor's plastered hair, Nieko's stood on ends.

He grumbled. "I'm so jealous of your hair. Why does mine always have to look like a porcupine?" Nieko laughed.

"So, tell me about yourself. I mean, you don't have to, but I would love to her your stories. You look pretty cut up," he placed a warm hand on her leg. Realizing what he'd just done, he removed his hand. He didn't want the girl to feel as though he was coming onto her. Hell, Nieko wasn't even sure of his feeling for her yet. He didn't want to rush into anything, but, at the same time, the thought of a new companion did sound nice.

"You mentioned something about an arrow? Or is it a someone? Heh, I'm not used to such foreign names." Nieko laughed. "Although, I guess Melik, Nieko, Arvin, Varun, Fritz, and Rroy are pretty foreign compared to Arrow." He was happy. "Tch, Varun, Arvin, and Fritz. They sure got it lucky. They died saving the women they loved. Too bad the girls still died in the end. One of them being my sister." Nieko frowned. "But," he said smiling again, "at least they all died smiling."

Nieko looked over at Eleanor. "June had the same color eyes as you. That lovely green. Only, she had plum colored hair. It was long and smooth just like yours too. Now that I think of it, she was 'bout your height too. Only, she was 22." He joked. "So, where is your boyfriend? I'm sure a beautiful girl like yourself has a very loving boyfriend. I would hate to piss him off." He laughed. "Although, I'm the jealous type. So he better watch it, or I may just try and steal you away!" He embraced her jokingly.

Rroy grabbed some bread from the counter. Glancing around, he shrived at the sight of the deadly red thing before him. Hissing, he moved away from the tomatoes. Grabbing some meat for another location, he chopped it up. Grabbing a green and red pepper, he diced them into smaller pieces. Leaving some large slices, he slid them into his creation.

He grinning. It was now his favorite part - stabbing the sandwich with a toothpick. He put the meal on a plate and pushed one toward Torrence. Looking at the second sandwich he made, he walked around and sat across from Torrence. "I hope you like chicken, blue cheese, peppers, and lettuce."

Rroy bit into his meal ((it looks like this: sandwich)). "Hmmmm, not bad." He laughed. "Oh, and I would love to help you train. I taught Nieko everything he knows. I also taught Melik everything he knows. You could say it's... my specialty."

Torrence grinned at him as he made the food. He looked like hew was having so much fun doing it. She did notice that he had moved away from tomatoes though. She giggled a little at the fact that he seemed almost afraid of the little thing. "Thank you. It looks great." She said as she took the sandwich from where it sat on the counter. The tooth pick was a nice touch and it seemed to be his favorite part of the dish. She took a small bite of the sandwich just to get a taste. "This is really great" She said then took another bite. The taste was exquisite and she did know how hungry she really was until she pretty much inhaled the sandwich though much slower than inhaling it so as to be polite. This was really good thank you. "So you taught Melik how to fight? May i ask you something? How did he become an experiment?"

Eleanor held her knees back to her chest with her arms as she tought about her story. The hug was double edged; it was nice that he was there but it also reminded her of her past. Her eyes adverted to the water once again, she wasn't sure if she would be able to tell Nieko while looking at him. "No, there's no boyfriend," she said softly, though tears didn't even threaten her yet. "Arrow was him I guess you could say. He was my protector," she added with an almost defeated sigh.

"We weren't supposed to become as close as we got. It was against the rules. But he was the only person I cared about, what was supposed to happen?" Eleanor inhaled deeply, letting the breath out slowly to help keep her nerves calm. She looked up at Nieko, her eyes had grown distant. "I saw him killed. A group of hunters had ambushed us. They had gotten a hold of another experiment and gained abilities. They tore him apart right before my eyes."

She then shook her head, no tears had come so her time for crying was over then. Her eyes came back into focus as she actually looked at Nieko. "I like your hair," she said as she cocked her head to one side. "It's cute and nice." She wasn't too sure what to say, she hadn't really talked to many people in a long time.

Nieko eyed Eleanor. "If you say so. I think it's soft and fluffy like... OH MMMM GEEE! I like kitties!" Suddenly realizing he had spaced on Eleanor, he turned back to her. "But thank you for the compliment gorgeous."

He sunk deeper into the water. "So Arrow was your forbidden boyfriend. Hmmm, sounds intense." His eyes lost their spark. He was somewhat turned off by this other male. Being the jealous type, Nieko had no interest in hearing about this 'Arrow,' but he wanted to please Eleanor, so he continued. "I know what it's like to see someone you care about die before you. I've seen it too may times." Nieko looked away. "First my mother, then my father, then my sisters, then my friends, and then... my June."

A tear hit the water. Once the rippling subsided, he continued. "So why only him? Were you forbidden for making friends? If so, what kind of sick society is this? Rroy was right. He's thinking about leading a rebellion to crush the government and ensure that there is equality." Nieko smiled over at Eleanor. "So, just was is an experiment? Rroy's mentioned them several times. And, now that I recall, he brought you up. I guess the government won't pay to hire you a new one. Heh, that's why Rroy and I are here I guess. We can't have helpless people running around while there are psychos on the loose!" Nieko teased as he was referring to Rroy himself. "But, if you would like, I would be more than willing to protect you. I can't be bound by any contract as I serve Rroy, but, in my free-time, I can protect you."

His cheeks were pink again. Nieko pushed down his hair. "So this Arrow fellow, what was he like? His name sounds familiar." Closing his eyes, the thought back on past times. Arrow. Arrow.... Arrow! His eyes widened some. For some odd reason he remembered killing a man named Arrow. He was pretty sure they weren't the same characters, but, he wasn't about to share this fact with Eleanor. No. This was one of Nieko's dark sides. He was very secretive, but this could be a good point too depending on the situation.

((Awww nothing for me?))

Rroy glanced up at Torrence. "To be honest, I'm not really sure. It all happened so fast. We were in the midst of a battle when suddenly we were surrounded by these men in white jackets. They had some of the most advanced technology I'd ever seen. Moreover, they had your so-called 'hunters' with them. I could have easily taken them, but I was wounded in a previous battle with the man I hate the most - my brother. I did my best to save them, but I can only do so much. Moreover, they had a hunter that appeared to be an angel fighting with them. I'm useless against angels. You see, demons and angels don't mix. I'm powerful, but arrows of light, those can kill me."

Rroy took another bite of the sandwich. "Anyways, while I was trying to defend, Melik was suddenly pieced with a sword." Rroy frowned. "I feel terrible, but, I retreated. Nieko and I fled the scene. There was nothing we could do but watch our friends and loved ones die." Rroy hung his head down in shame. "I'm a pathetic person. I saved my own skin but I couldn't save theirs... most specifically, hers." Rroy looked down at the ring he wore around his ring-finger. "My wife..." he couldn't finish.

Standing up, Rroy got the two of them something to drink. He smiled as he handed her the fine glass. "Anyways, Nieko and I watched from afar. It looks as though the hunters were working along side your government. I guess they wanted to see if they could resurrect someone. I have no idea why they picked Melik, but... from what it looked like, he was injected with something that could awaken him from death. Perhaps that's is power, a second change, or maybe a second life." Rroy looked over at Torrence. "I'm really not sure. So, Nieko and I disguised ourselves and infiltrated your government's science building. Sadly, the reports never mentioned what the powers were. Moreover, we found out the government is loaded. They have more than enough money to get you and Eleanor protectors. Hell, this house was bought from a 2-week paycheck. If they can pay that much, then I think they can afford to train protectors."

Rroy sat back down. "Do you really think the government is behind the hunters though?" He looked Torrence in the eyes. "If so, doesn't that mean you've been lied to all along? Or did Nieko and I witness a group of scientists that went rogue?" He sipped his liquid as he waited to hear Torrence's thoughts.

((Ha ha. I was working on it. I wanted to make Rroy serious. And... I had to make a story up. That's what I got. Hope you like it. XD))

Eleanor sighed, it wasn't that she didn't like talking about experiments, it just reminded her of everything else. "Experiments were the governments way of trying to fix everything. A bunch of us were taken in and some sort of gene was encoded into us. I don't know what it is supposed to do exactly, but whatever it was got a lot of attention. We became hunted by people and some mysterious, super strong race. It was members of the race that protected us, something about how soldiers couldn't even hurt them or something. Anyway, something happened with no money coming in for the projects so they can't train anymore projectors so I'm on my own."

Resting her chin at the surface of the water, Eleanor thought about everything else he had asked. "It wasn't that we weren't allowed to see other people, it was more, I just didn't want to talk to people I guess. I lost my family because of what happened to me. I can't find them at least. The house was perfectly fine, they just didn't live there anymore."

Eleanor had to dip her face in the water real quick, her skin getting dry. Once she pulled back out of the water and wiped it out of her eyes she gave Nieko a curious look. "Do you really want to know about Arrow?" She asked, a little puzzled at the detail he was wanting. She just shrugged not waiting for an answer. "He was tall, at least a foot taller than me about as wide at the shoulders as three of me." Her brows furrowed slightly, it was getting harder for Eleanor to remember than man she had fallen for. "He was nice," she started as she thought. "But not at first. He was really protective and promised that he would help me find my family." She then let out another sigh as she added, "That weapon I had out there was his." She didn't remember anyone grabbing it, but she figured at this point it would've been lost anyway. What did it matter though, she didn't know how to use it anyway.
