((Ok, yeah I cried a little bit in that one T_T))

He killed him, Nieko, the one she was starting to trust killed the only person she had ever loved. She didn't watch him, her eyes adverting to the bed. She tried not to cry. It had been weeks since his death, she couldn't cry anymore. Arrow wanted her to be strong so she couldn't cry. But she did. She wasn't sobbing nor did the tears fall in torrents. She felt betrayed, lied to, used.

How could Nieko play her like that? What she just some toy you get one day and ditch the next? If so then she was getting ditched it seemed. He played with her, killing Arrow, and now, now he seemed to be done with her. Obviously he wasn't done yet as he pinned Eleanor to the bed again, it was like before, only this time more violent and swift. By the time she realized it and the anger and saddness of the betrayl was setting in, he was already off of her.

She was trying to grab her clothes before he came back. She wanted to leave, run, run far away where no one would ever look for her. Somewhere people wouldn't know what she was or try to get to know her. Nieko was upon her again though, telling her to go if she cared for him at all, to find Rroy or Melik. Then he was off her again.

Oh, she was leaving but she wasn't leaving because she cared at this point and she wasn't going to look for Rroy or Melik. She pulled her clothes on and ran for the door. She hesitated over the glass and once she got to the door. She wanted to look back or say something, but he didn't deserve it. Nieko didn't deserve that sort of grace, not after what he did.

She opened the door, not bothering to shut it, before running down down the stairs and out the door. She wasn't sure where she was but she ran down the road. The colors were a blur, the sounds, they were everywhere. It didn't matter though, Eleanor was crying so hard that she wouldn't be able to see where she was running even if she wanted to. She stopped after a while and looked around.

She knew where she was. She was near her 'home', the old abandoned building that her and Arrow used to stay at. She wasn't sure who's idea it had been, but they stayed there with no one really paying attention. Eleanor ran through the open doorway, moving the board in front of it once again before collapsing on the pile of cloth and rags and just letting everything out. She cried and cried until her body ached and when her body no longer could produce actual tears anymore. She still cried. She cried until everything went black.

((I've actually cried long enough that I didn't have any tears left to cry once, my poor kitty was dieing T_T))

And poor kitty. T_T I did the same but with my doggy and then again when mom and I got into a really teary subject. :\ I cry a lot. I'm... pathetic. xD ))

Nieko had nodded off and by the time he re-awoke it was close to midday. Rubbing his face, he sat up. "Whoa, what happened to my room? Looks like a bomb hit it." He stood and looked down at his aching hands. "Huh?" He looked up and stared himself in the eyes. "...no.... No.... NO!" Nieko scrunched up his hair again. "UGH! WHAT HAVE I DONE!"

Flipping over the glass, he flew down the stairs. Sniffing the air, he found Eleanor's scent. He winced some. It was killing him that he may have hurt Eleanor. Still, he had to know she was okay, so he took off in her direction. He was soon standing at her door. He pushed it open and let himself in.

Nieko saw her. He immediately ran over to her. He stroked her gently as he waited for her to come to. While he waited, he looked around. The place was dirty and a mess. It looked worse than his room. He shook his head and concentrated back on Eleanor.

"Eleanor, wake up." He nudged her. He sighed. Nieko knew she was really awake, but she pretended to still be sleeping. Frowning he decided to talk to her. He figured she wouldn't be listening, but, it least explaining everything would give him a peace of mine.

"Eleanor. I'm sorry. I never meant to hurt you. I know this sounds like a bad excuse, but... I've been through a lot. You think your life has been rough, try walking in my shoes. Hated by everyone in my family - minus my father - oh and I should add I never knew any of my female family members. Anyways, they hated me. I guess I wasn't manly enough in their eyes. So various males raped me, tortured me, assaulted me... heh, one of them even decided to drown me. To this very day I'm terrified of water." Nieko was holding himself just as a frightened child would.

"I've been alone all my life. That was until I met Rroy. He changed me. For the worse I'm afraid. I always used to be a coward. But after meeting him, I grew to be a killer. I was so full of hatred and anger. You could say that I still have it in me. I-I've tried to change, but it's hard. It's hard when for so long I was a victim and now, for once, I'm in charge. I like this power. I was always so envious of everyone around me and now everyone is jealous of me. It's... it's a wonderful feeling. I'm feared. I'm hated. I'm idolized. It's like a blessing. I'm finally happy, but... I'm not really happy. I'm all alone. I drive away everyone close to me. I'm just like Rroy. I'm incapable of love. The one person I loved, died in my arms. The other person I finally started to care deeply about... well, she hates me now. I understand why. I mean, I practically raped her and abused her."

He was crying now and his voice was somewhat shaky. "Eleanor, I know I can't be forgiven for all the things I've done to you. First I watch your Arrow get tortured. Then I kill your Arrow. Then I let you suffer on your own. I finally met you, but only to do such terrible things to you. I'm..." he cocked the gun he was holding in his hand. "You know, I tried to do this once. I was so close to pulling the trigger, but Rroy stopped me. Rroy's with your friend Torrence now and he won't save me." He pressed the gun against his head. "But," he dropped it and pushed it away, "I'm too much of a coward to kill myself. I cling to my life by taking away others. I attack people because I feel so weak compared to them."

His crying had stopped and his voice was softer, almost sweeter now. "Eleanor, you're stronger than me. You're but a lost angel that only seeks to make people happy. You'd give up your life for someone you love. I wish I could be so selfless. But I'm afraid I'm a wretched fool."

Nieko stood up. "I'm sorry for bothering you. But, I will not let anyone hurt you. You shall be a constant reminder of my sins. I will help you. I will save you. I will protect you. I will... love you."

He walked out the door. Once outside, the sunlight blinded him. He sunk to the steps below him. With his back against her door, he stared at the moth before him. June, where are you? Was everything you did for me really for nothing?

The moth fluttered around, writing words in the air.

My Nieko, all have done was not for nothing, but it will be if you don't find yourself. Your true self. You are, and will always be that loving gentleman I know; now find him. Look hard and bury about this vengeful side. Make peace with who you are and you shall be at peace. Don't forget who you are. You are Nieko. Nieko Colte. Doesn't Nieko mean victorious? If yo give up now, you'll lose the fight. Aren't you a winner? And Colte? Isn't that the name of a family you wanted to recreate? If you continue down this path, everything you have worked for will be lost. Fight yourself. Find your inner being. Relinquish your hatred. Start over.

The moth flew away. Nieko sat smiling. He was actually happy. June. I miss you so much. I'm sorry I have disappointed you, but I will not fail you again. Nieko rose and stretched. His stomach growled. "Aww man. I forgot to eat... again." He sighed not really knowing what he wanted to do.

Zeta blinked, he had gotten her gifts? She had been rather preoccupied, not to mention she didn't pay much attention to things where she stayed, that she hadn't even noticed. It was an abandoned building, things were bound to go missing so she never kept anything of value there.

"You... you got me a gift?" she questioned, somewhat bewildered. She couldn't really remember the last time someone actually gave her a present. It was partially why she didn't own much but now... it was strangely exciting to think about. Zeta smiled slightly, "Show me."

Melik blushed like crazy. "Erm, on second thoughts. How about we forget them," he said yanking Zeta in the opposite direction. "Come on, this way, I want to show you your new home!" Melik tried tugging on her, but he wasn't doing to well. He did more damage to the ground that was slowly being worn away.

(( Sorry it's short, but he's embarrassed. D'awwww! ^^ ))

Zeta laughed and grabbed his hand-not his arm, not his wrist, not a forcefully dominant thing about it, she simply took his hand and began leading him back towards her little hide-out. "Come on, now you have be curious. You aren't really going to pass up a chance to show me you care, are you?"

It actually took a bit of fighting for Eleanor to be able to open her eyes again. A mix of sleep and tears had acted as cement, causing her to panic slightly. She thought she had heard something, like someone was there with her, but when she looked there was no one there. No one but the rags, dust, and whatever objects had been left behind when the building was actually a home. She sighed, the oxygen burned her lungs slightly because of the dust it had kicked up. How much dust had she actually ingested then? She didn't want to think about that, she didn't want to think about how she was alone and that no one was going to come for her, not anymore at least.

She stood up rather uneasy, having not eaten in the past couple of days. She ignored the wooziness that it brought as she rummaged around the old shanty. She was checking everywhere to see if there was anything she was going to need. There was a metal plate resting on one of the falling apart wooden shelves and she looked at it for a moment. It was hard to tell that she had washed up, whenever it was. Her hair was knotted again, this time there was a mud, a mixture of her tears and the dust, that had clumped in her hair. Her skin was pale and her eyes looked dead, all of it was brought together with her now chapped lips.

She ran her hand through her hair a couple of times so it wouldn't look as bad, it didn't do much but at least it hid some of the mess. She then licked her lips, which, with a dry tongue was rather difficult but she didn't look as dead anymore. She sighed again, coughing slightly. After coming to the conclusion that there wasn't anything there that she needed she walked over to the piece of partical board that she used to close off the entrance.

Pulling it away a figure stood before her, their back to her. She didn't need to see the front to know who it was. The light that glinted from the figure's jewelry gave it away. "N-Nieko?" She studdered, voice abnormally quiet though it held a rough tone to it. Without thinking she dropped that board causing it to kick up dust as it smacked onto the floor. She started slowly backing up, coughing from the substance in the air.

Melik nodded his head. "YES! YES I AM!" He continued to oppose her by walking the other way. He was still blushing and acting all cute. "This way!"

His eyes widened as he found himself on his butt. "Heh, I fell." He looked up at her and laughed. He really was an odd man.

Nieko coughed too. "Yuck," he finally said after brushing off his backside. His hands were gray from the dust, spider webs, and other fuzzy things he did not want to identity. He sniffed some and finally looked around.

He spun around, forgetting he was on a set of stairs, he stumbled backwards.

THUD.

He landed on his butt. Moaning, he flopped down. "I quit. I think I'll just wait here all day. Today is not my day. Maybe tomorrow will be better." He had still not noticed Eleanor. But, once he sat up, he did. "Ummm..." he looked away. He felt foolish for one, talking to himself, and 2, for falling over in such a stupid manner. He shrugged up and looked at her. "Can we just start over?" He said stumbling to get to his feet.

Once he was firmly on his feet, he took a step toward her, but he realized she was uneasy." Stopping, Nieko could only look up at her. He smiled his typical friendly grin as he stood. His eyes were back to normal too. They were no longer full of hatred or envy. No, instead they were full of life, love, passion, and concern.

Zeta stopped and looked at him again. Was he taking back his present? Before she even got to see it? ... maybe it was for the best. Presents were for people who belonged somewhere perhaps. Not misfit outcasts. "... okay" she glanced at the ground and began to follow him in the other direction, trying to mask her disappointment in indifference.

Melik's eyes watered. "But...but...but!" He looked toward her place. "But...."

Eleanor wanted so bad to run, to get away, she didn't want to face Nieko, not again. Her breathing sped up as she watched him fall down the stairs. She winced and actually had to force herself not to help him. She brought her hands up and clasped them in front of her mouth. It was her own little defense mechinism though it hardly ever worked to actually keep anyone at bay.

He hadn't noticed her, this was good. She was just about to turn and run when he spoke, not to himself but to her this time. She froze midstep and slowly turned to look at him. He wanted to start over, he was asking to, but she didn't know what to do. His eyes, they were friendly now, but they had been before and he lied to her and tried to rape her. She wasn't sure if she could go back after all that happening.

She was using her thoughts as a way to escape as she slowly continued backing up towards one of the boarded windows. If she could at least get to them and break one of the boards free she might have a chance at escaping. It was a good plan, it was fool proof. At least it would've been if Eleanor hadn't backed her foot up and gotten caught in one of the longer rags. From how tight it felt around her ankle it was one of the ones towards the bottom of the discarded pile. She was too busy thinking about where the stupid thing was in the pile that she hadn't even bothered to try and free her foot before the cloth tripped her up.

Eleanor fell back, landing on her bottom hard. The jolt of the impact sent a wave of shock up her spine causing her to wince. There was a sudden throbbing pain in her arm, but she didn't know why, she hadn't landed on it. She ignored it at first and tried to scrammble to her feet. Once she put her left arm on the ground and put weight on it she fell again, her arm was hurting too much. She screamed and tried waving her arm in the air as if it were on fire, and then rubbing it vigorously with her right hand.

"Stay away from me," she yelled at Nieko in tears. She was still uncertain as to what she should do, but the pain, it was too much. It brought new tears from her already dehydrated body. She didn't want anyone to be near her, she never did when she was in a lot of pain. She tucked her left arm behind her knees and against her chest as she rocked back and forth hoping it would help, but so far it didn't.

Zeta stopped and looked at him, "... What? ... am I not supposed to agree with you?" she tilted her head, very confused at Melik's strange behavior. Would she ever get fully accustom to his flip-flopping?

Rroy shrugged. "The one thing I want the most won't happen. And...if it happened, you're be saddened." Rroy looked up into the sky. Perplexed by the breeze, he smiled. "The wind reminds me of my wife. They used to call her the wolf of the wind." He looked down at his ring. It was a constant reminder of her.

Torrence looked suprised when Rroy started to ask about Damian. He had seen the report. It had said that they were close which was odd how they would know that considering they kept it a secret. He glanced at his chest while stroking her back. She got the hint and decided to bring her legs up to rest next to her and then rested her head on his chest just as he had pointed out.

"Umm... Well you read the report so you would know that his powers were mind reading and a kind of pulse which he used to upset computers and push people backwards. Sometimes he could even push bullets back but only if he saw them coming and had time to send it in time. He was extrememly handsome as you said. The only person to ever get inside my head in one way or another." She giggled at the thought then continued. "He was the only person up for the challenge of trying to tame me. I always tried to escape but somehow he knew where i was going. Id fight back against the drugs they injected me with but he convinced me it was for the best when i was sick. We got close as you said. I was never in my room anymore. When they put us on the street everything became a game between us. Damian always won due to what he was. It was funny though. He made me believe I had won sometimes but i knew better than that. Damian was almost like you. In a way at least. He taught me how to fight further from what i had learned on the streets." She took a deep breath and her voice went quieter. "We had just come from the Cafe when we were attacked for the third time that day. He was shot down and i tried to save him but he told me to run so i did. He gave me this as i let go of his hand" Torrence pulled out the necklace he had given her from her pocket. "Besides his memory this is all i have left. We did love each other." A tear came out of her eye when she stopped talking. She wiped it away quickly and then laid her head in his lap looking up at him.

Nieko rushed over to her. "I'm not going to abandon you and I'm certainly not going to hurt you anymore." Nieko stroked her face and looked over her injuries.

"There, there my love," he stopped her rocking. He removed his shirt and slit off pieces of it to make a sling. He wrapped her arm in it and helped her up. He glanced over her again.

Trying to relax her some, he sang to her.

Nieko lifted her up and carried her back to Rroy's place. He set her down on the front couch. He darted upstairs and returned with some ointment. He rubbed it over her, that is, after he rinsed her cuts.

He was now singing a different song. Nieko didn't even seem fully aware that he was singing.

Nieko was smiling as he sang. He started to brush out her hair, but stopped once he finally caught her eyes.

"..." he looked away. He knew she was terrified, she could feel her shaking, but he wasn't just going to let her run off. "Eleanor, you can run and you can try to hide, but I'll always end up finding you. I'm not trying to scare you, I'm only telling you the truth. And please don't be frightened, I'm feeling better now." He bent down and kissed the side of her lips.

"How are you feeling?" He continued to stroke her face.

((Nothing for me? WAAAAAAAA RROY DOESNT LOVE ME))

The singing calmed Eleanor's emotions but nothing Nieko did helped her arm. "It hurts so bad," she said wincing as she held her arm closer to her. "Why won't it stop," she sobbed though the tears had long stopped falling. It was the amount of pain she was in that allowed Nieko to be close to her. He hadn't listened so she could only be rude to him but she had a feeling that wouldn't work. She wouldn't have been able to fully ward him off.

It had gotten to the point where Eleanor's jacket seemed to strangle that arm, like it was swelling or something. She pulled it off as quickly as she could and her eyes bugged out. "What's happening to me?" She shrieked which hurt her throat seeing as it hadn't healed from before and was now in worse condition.

Eleanor's arm was mis-shapened at this point. It almost looked like it was bubbling and parts were oozing off of her. She looked at Nieko, pleading for him to help somehow. This moment was the most terrifying ever. Scarier than losing Arrow, losing her family, and Nieko lying to her like that. It hurt more too, of course it could be worse because it was currently happening.

Before she was able to verbally ask for help her arm began to painfully shift. Eleanor winced, trying to hold back from yelling but the sound tore from her throat anyway. Digging her fingers from her right hand into the couch, she turned away, almost like if she couldn't see what was happening it wasn't as bad.

It almost sounded like something was breaking from all the snapping and popping sounds, but after a few more minutes the pain finally subsided. Eleanor slowly and shakily turned her head to see what had happened. "What is that?" She yelled, immediately regretting it, but the object that had taken over her fore arm was a shield. It wasn't all that big though, if she held it up to her body it would block her torso and neck. Tenden like objects attached themselve to her body to most likely protect the flesh colored object.

"Nieko..." Her voice shakily faded out as she stared at the object, trying to hold it as far away from herself as she could. Which, with it being attached to her and all wasn't very far.

((It's the Prototype pic and also, unlike Alex's hers is smaller and can't block strong weapons XP It will be the color of her jacket when she has it on, like it just 'becomes' out of whatever the outer layer is. Plus, skin tone shield is gross XP))

Rroy looked over at the girl. He wasn't really sure what he should do. He'd never had anyone cry on him before - well, besides his wife, but she didn't count for some odd reason ((Rroy! You and I are gonna have a talk!)).

Trying to change her mood, Rroy did the one thing he did best - sing.

And her heart is weeping.

Rroy sat up, holding Torrence close. He rubbed his nose against hers. "So, you're cute." He smiled as he laid back down. It was weird. He was smiling. He almost looked like a man. His eyes were happy and full of love and passion and he had his charming smile on.

"So," he spoke softly to her, "if I were ever in any trouble, you must promise me you'll run. I can't lose the second person I've ever cared this deeply about." He kissed her forehead. "Also, I'm not sure about you, but I think I'm getting a sunburn." He sat up at looked at his white skin that now had a tint of red to it. "Can we continue this little... date... elsewhere?"

He cocked his head at her and smiled with his eyes closed. His black hair shifted down, covering his face some. "Besides, I'm not sure we'll be safe up here anymore. Maybe we should head back to my place. We can always leave if we wanted." Almost blushing, he winked at her.

Melik looked at Zeta. "No...I...ummm...I want you to get your present, but I don't want to go. It's...it's...it's embarrassing." He looked away. He was still blushing like crazy. But he looked ridiculously cute. And yet, there was something about him that made him look very handsome and manly too.

((Sorry Atez/Zeta always gets the short post. I promise Melik will sing to her next post!))

"I can't really remember the last time someone actually bought me something." Zeta admitted, "If you don't want to give it to me, it doesn't really make any difference I suppose." I'll just go on the way I am now. No big deal really... she thought to herself, more like trying to convince herself of it.

Nieko stared at her arm. "Sorry I'm staring, but what the eff is that?" He said pointing.

It immediately hit him right after he insulted her. "ELEANOR!" He hugged her. "Congrats!" He kissed her several times. He looked at her face to see the puzzled look she was giving him. Did she not know, he wondered.

"Erm, do you not know what just happened?" Nieko continued anyways. "Well, this is your shield. Or so it looks. I remembered hearing Rroy say that each non-powered human was injected with supernatural powers. Looks like you and turn your arm into a shield. Which is great and all. Kinda annoying...and ugly...but you're still just as beautiful even with it."

He stood up and admired her. "I'm kinda jealous. I can only breath and create fire. Fire is messy. Shield...not to messy." He laughed and sat beside her again. "Anyways, I'm sure it'll take some getting used to, but I can help. I'm not sure if it's fire-proof though, but we can test that out as well."

Nieko then looked at her. "Ummm...Eleanor." He got down on one knee. "I'm sorry." He gave her sympathetic eyes as he somewhat stared at her in awe and devotion.

Melik began sobbing slightly. "But, I...I picked it out special." He looked down at his holes in the ground. "It was my gift to you for letting me in and watching over me." Melik stopped blushing for a second, but once he looked back at her, his face was red again. "Ugh, you're too gorgeous not to look at," he moved closer to her. "If you promise to hold my hand, we can go get your gift together."

He smiled and started humming a tune. "Hmmm, now what were the lyrics. Ah yes!"
