I was trying on items in the shops. The preview system works best if you're naked. I do think I like the avatar system better at Gaia, however. At least there you can be nekkid in your inventory without being nekkid on the entire site. :stare:

Grr. I hate that about the preview system here! Also, I wish that you could pick items out to try on all at once, that way you could build an outfit and then quest for it, without resorting to mspaint. (which i am not willing to do)

Because I've donated to Menewsha I can use the avatar creator that they have in beta right now and then I add the items to my shopping cart in the shops. Then I just wait until I have enough money and buy everything in the cart. It was a great way to put together your outfit, Amaya, it let me keep track of how much more I had to save up.

CZ, with your first paycheck do you want to do the pre-reg for OhayoCon?

What are we going to dress the boys up as? I think Little Man would make a cute Sazh from FF13. However, I don't think it would be easy to put together.

----------

Side note: Sazh is my favorite character from FF13. <3

----------

Side Note #2: It's the jacket I worry about putting together for Little Man.

We might be able to find a long on him green shirt at Goodwill. Then all we need to do is redesign everythigng about it

----------

also, just leave the sash on, it suits you! It makes you look like a hard-as-nails traveling wench.

Hard-as-nails traveling wench? Not what I thought of, but alright.

CZ seems to think that we'd be able to get a pattern from Seamstress and make it ourselves. I'm not sure we could a pattern in Little Man's size but I also don't think it's impossible. I'd be interested in finding out.

I can't figure out who we're going to dress Spawn up as and I'm debating dressing up myself.

Oh! What about his namesake?! Edward from FMA!

We run into the same issue with the coat, although I do really like the idea. Also, his hair is too short.

Not very. Clothes that small don't take much fabric and it's pretty universal clothing: 1930's Germany. The only snag would be finding it in his size. Easier for future years, of course.

I think we're going to have to take a drive around the neighborhood. We'll be back in 10-20 minutes. Spawn won't nurse himself to sleep and he's exhausted.

Back!

yey. Asked my mom, and she said she's just give me 200 for Christmas, and then told me that I'm stupid (my words not hers) and hadn't completely thought the trip through yet. I KNOW MOM. THANKS.

----------

And honestly, I know i haven't thought it through completely yet. I know it will be hard with a toddler and a baby. I KNOW. Just don't look at me like i'm retarded damn it.

There's an adult for each child present, fyi. CZ could be put in charge of Little Man, you can have Newbie and I'll take Spawn. Or whatever combination works best. We'll have a Moby Wrap and hopefully two Mei Tais by then. The hotel will be connected to the convention center and we have three parents who are absolutely cool with stopping everything and going back to the room to lay down if necessary. We can even borrow a kid leash.

I think we'll be okay.

Sorry about CZ not posting. He's helping me go through some Alizee songs and learn to sing them in French.

What are some other concerns you and/or your mom have for the trip?

She didn't really have much to say other than we didn't think this through, with a look on her face like i suggested Little man and I go live with dustins parents. ... N/m that would be more rageful,

I'm worried about little mans behavior and how he'd react to the weekend. I mean, i don't want him to think that we're leaving forever. (he picks up on so much, and i have no idea how he feels/felt about the whole leaving papa thing and i just don't want the whole thing to be one large cryfest for him) , and i want to be sure that Me and him will be able to handle it. 1:1 is a very good ratio though, so i think we'd be able to handle it.

Would you be more comfortable taking your own vehicle in case you have to bail out for Little Man's sake after we get there? And if your parents can't let you borrow a car for that long CZ could drive you home and come back to the convention. Or we could all just go home. We do have options.

Have you had Little Man away from your place overnight yet? If not, maybe we could work him up to spending a whole weekend somewhere else. Spawn doesn't have the same reservations because we've had to other people's places for a couple days at a time. He's rather used to the moving around.

I think i'm just anxious and worried in general about how he'd feel. I think once we got there he'd love all the costumes and stuff. And its only for like 3 days, not forever. I am also going through almost every possible senario in my mind trying to plan for everything. Already. The newb will be 4 months by then, not a newborn, and i will have some idea of their personality. Hopefully they'll take to it well. Plus, i'll be kind of used to two by then (right?) ALSO by then, I should have some sort of decipline system in place. That should help a lot. I think i just need to remember that this thing is like 6 months away. There is time. And ya'll won't be offended if at the last minute i drop out.

----------

I really wouldn't want to be 3 hours in the front seat of a car with 2 little ones in the back. I'd rather drive with ya'll to be honest.

Little man hs gotten used to the routine around here, but i don't think 3 days of not exactly routine is going to get to him too badly. I think if i take stuff with us that reminds him of home he'll be ok. Plus the large things, the pillars of the day, can be as similar as possible. Working up to a couple of nights away is probably a good idea, just to see how he's react after we came home.

Just keep talking to us about it and we'll help you plan for all the different possibilities of what can happen at the con, okay? :) Everything will be fine if we have a chance to plan for whatever might go wrong and we'll be extra careful. We'll have the van serviced before the trip, fill up the gas tank, make sure there's a spare tire and a jack to change the tire with.. we'll do everything we can that's a preventive measure. *hugs*

----------

Yeah, definitely a good idea to stick as closely as possible to the schedule(s) the boys have set up; eat when they normally would, nap and sleep when they normally would. The whole shebang.

----------

Sweet dreams when you get to bed. CZ wants to go watch tv and we just got our first chance to today. *hugs* Could you PM me Little Man's schedule so I can see how close it is to Spawn's schedule?

Aw~! The sign of an angry internet junkie - rapid, forceful typing! I suppose we ought to be grateful that she isn't blind to the signs. Lawlz.

I didn't even think that my typing had changed, either. She shouldn't be. We got dial-up and a computer when i was in 5th grade. Things have never been the same since.

Delicous? *dances with you*

I'm not sure what I would have been like without the internet. I know I'm not interested in finding out; I like the internet way too much.

That being said I probably spend too much time online. :stare:
