I've had a few pretty bad injuries in my life. The worst when I was just a little kid, about seven or so (might of been a little younger, I cannot remember). But I was riding my bike to the park, and wasn't paying attention, and crashed into a fire hydrant. I broke my left ring finger, and chipped the nail almost all the way off. So I had to wear one of those big splints for a long time on my finger.
I've had two times in P.E. that I was sent to the doctor in middle school. I was playing flag football, and I went to catch the ball, and then it bounced off my left ring finger. And damn was I in so much pain. I told my teacher that I hurt my finger, and I couldn't play any more. And she just told me that it doesn't look serious, and just keep playing. I WAS IN PAIN DAMMIT D:<, and so I went to go try and keep playing. Obviously couldn't. Then I went to the doctor and had a badly bruised finger. That took about two weeks or so to heal. I just had to keep two fingers taped together.
The other time in P.E. was just a free day, we could do whatever we wanted. And I went to go play volleyball with the girls in my class. I was in a hyper mood at the time, and the net was lying on the ground. I went to jump over it and caught my ankle in the net and ended up badly bruising my left ankle. Was outta P.E. for about three weeks I believe.
Lets see..., OH! This other time I was riding my bike to school. And it had just rained that night, so the sidewalk and roads were slick. I went to take the tight turn just around the corner of the apartments. And then I skid on my bike, and got a nasty case of road rash on my thigh. I just sat on the ground for about two minutes before getting back up and riding my bike two miles to school. Once I got to there, I went to the bathroom to check how bad it was. I had a NASTY bruise and scratch on it. I didn't go to the doctor for that one though -3-, just dealt with the pain.
Same year after that incident, I got into a car accident riding my bike to school again. It was pretty foggy, but hey, I could see. I waited to cross the road, and there was a car in the turning lane. I thought that they were waiting for me to cross. So I went ahead and did so. The car turned at the same time and crashed into me. The car fucked up my front bike tire. But that could of easily of been my leg or ankle. But I just got knocked off my bike and got a couple of scratches. Nothing too serious though.
Same year as that one, I went to a friends' birthday party. I was my first high school party, so I was all excited owo. I was inside the garage with my friends dancing to the music. And there was a strobe light in there. Needless to say, epilepsy plus a strobe light don't match up all that well. I went outside because I was dizzy, and a friend came out to see if I was alright. Next thing I remember is I woke up in the hospital with my parents asking me if I was alright @
[email protected], was in there for two days so the doctor's knew that I was fine. I'm just glad that my friends were concerned about me when I got back to school. I FUCKING HATE PEOPLE WHO THINK HAVING A SEIZURE IS FUCKING HYSTERICAL D:<
Also I had to get my tetanus shot a couple years ago. I went there with my dad, and the shot itself was no big deal. It's just a needle, I've had my blood drawn plenty of times, so it didn't bother me when I got the shot. So the doctor and my dad were just talking for a bit. And then all of a sudden, the room started to get all purple, and I got dizzy. I passed out and fell forwards for the seat thing I was on. My dad caught me (kinda...), I landed head first on his steal toed boot. Had to go to the hospital after that one to make sure that I didn't fracture my skull.
Junior year of high school there was another incident. It was the first week of school. And I was just reading some manga on the bus like I've done plenty of times. As we got to the road close to the school, I had a seizure on the bus, and got knocked out, and apparently fell onto the walkway between the seats. Woke up when my parents were buckling me in the car to take me to the hospital. Of course I was pissed off because they kept asking me how many fingers they were holding, and to see if I was alright e.e, I don't care how many fingers you have up.
I've had a couple other times where I could of been seriously injured. But with all those injuries above, I think that my mind just instantly give me quick reflexes, lol. And I live in a desert, so there are a couple deadly animals out here. Such as scorpions and snakes. I've seen plenty of them. And just last year I caught a (gopher/ bull) snake with my dad with just a stick and golf club XD. It was pissed off that we tried to capture it (and we did). But I didn't get hurt =O. And most of the time know when I get hurt, I just end up laughing at myself :3 (even it what I did hurt like a son of a bitch)
