By the time Dante returned, the dragon was still damp, but clean. His mood seemed to have improved, and the tall male landed just outside the cave with a small smile. Upon stepping back into the root-encrusted cavern, he scented the air and glanced to Miranda. "Sleep well?" he asked, raking a hand through his wet hair. Setting the armor he had gathered on the floor to finish drying, Dante's red eyes trailed over the vampire for a moment before he moved toward her in the back of the cave. "You didn't wake all morning. I take it your rest was worth while?"
For once, he actually seemed to be in a sort of good mood.

Miranda rolls over and faces Dante"I slept rather well"she yawns and rubs her eyes"how was your bath?"mumbling sleepily Miranda tilts her head and blushes when Dante ran his hand through his hair"I hope it went well"Miranda blushes when she says that because of her dream of Dante she had while he was gone.

((*bows repeatedly* Sorry, sorry. *starts typing furiously to get everyone moving again*
Oh . . . and I apologize for not bringing this up earlier . . . *types a bit of response for Cain*))
"A symbol of your mother's people," Cain repeated, his duel-toned voice echoing slightly. Lyna took the necklace back, and the Fae seemed to shudder. "I see." Magic users. Seeming uncomfortable for a mere moment, the broad-shouldered male turned his attention elsewhere.
As soon as everyone had packed up and was ready to go, Cain spoke to everyone about the way through the woods. Instead of going around, which would take nearly a week of traveling, they could get to the city within a few days. The Fae wasn't very adamant with his speech, instead talking slowly and calmly, as though trying to make someone understand something hard to grasp. If looked at in the wrong way, it could seem offensive. But that's not quite how he meant it to be - he was just keeping his emotion under wraps. He was honestly eager to head into the town, for he hadn't been around a large group of people in years.
Finally stepping in the direction of the forests, the tall Fae grasped Lyna's hand, gently pulling her along with him. He seemed to be taking quite the liking to her all of a sudden. . . .
-
With a smile, Vin'dehl shouldered one of the many sleeping mats. Staying somewhat close to Sapphira, the elf kept an eye on Cain and Lyna . . . but wasn't as wary as he was earlier. Instead, he was merely . . . content. Even though they were all in the middle of the wilderness, gathered together due to some sort of danger, they were, well, together. They wouldn't have been if there wasn't trouble in the first place.
"Don't fall behind," he called out to Inno and Gabriel in a fond tone, winking at his sister.
-
Inno smiled at Vin'dehl, and then took up one of the remaining mats. Slinging the strap over her shoulder, the tall woman scoffed. "I wouldn't be the one talking if I were you, slowpoke." The siblings shared a bout of quite laughter before Vin'dehl and Sapphira began to follow the first couple.
Purple eyes meeting Gabriel's, Inno bumped him with her arm as she headed after the others. They would be in the city within a few days at most.
-
Dante slowed his movements momentarily, raising an eyebrow in Miranda's direction. " . . . it did," he said quietly, and the dragon stretched a bit before stepping over to the vampire. Sitting down beside her, he let his red eyes slowly move toward the cavern's entrance. Lazily leaning back, he lounged there in silence before speaking again.
"My wounds have all but healed," he stated, taking a deep breath and slowly letting it out. Thanks to you. "And it felt good to taste the fresh water."

Sapphira smiled with Vin'dehl. ....I know this kind of jokeing...it is called...sibling rivalry...I don't understand it personally, having no siblings, but i have seen it time and time again..... She blushed at the way Vin'dehl held her hand as they followed Cain and Lyna. "After breakfast, I feel better~" She said tapping her bag with the pot in it. She fidgeted with her sleeping mat until it sit right on her shoulders. ....stupid wing lumps...always in my way... She thought drolly.

Lyna turned her head away from him, she could feel his discomfort and it made her feel ashamed of what she knew of her mothers people. She didn’t have anything to pack, she had also eaten some of her food, but not much, she wasn’t really that hungry. She listened to what he said about the woods, the way he talked it almost seemed like he was talking to a child, and it made her feel like a child. She didn’t bother lifting her head up or pulling her hand out Cain’s grasp, he pulled her hand gently, she just followed, not saying a word to anyone. She felt bad, like she had done something wrong, he held her hand, she didn’t hold his, she didn’t even care if anyone knew that she wasn’t in a happy mood at the moment.

((The group follows Cain . . . and they'll be at the city within 3 days time.))
Cain let his vision die down, not bothering to start it up again. He could very much sense the depression coming from Lyna, but he chose to stay silent about it. Instead, he merely gave her hand a squeeze, letting it go after a few minutes of walking. She didn't have to hold his hand if she didn't want to.
The Fae kept himself close enough to the girl so that if she started to veer off course, he could reach out and take her elbow, realigning her with the rest of them. Cain listened to the others speak, the well-muscled male merely stayed silent, knowing that he wasn't one to be the life of the party anyway.
In a quick pace, the silver-haired Fae led them into the trees, taking a deep breath as the wind blew gently through their trunks, scattering pine needles and leaves everywhere underfoot.

Lyna felt even worse when he let her hand go, she felt as if she had done something wrong again. She let her pace drop, she ended up behind everyone else, a hand out and touching each tree trunk. She was just in a sad mood and it seemed to be getting worse, her pace kept dropping even more, the group getting further a head of her as she was lost in thought. She then tripped over a tree root and fell forward, she didn’t catch her self like she would have normally, she ended up getting cut some more. She picked her self up and made her way slowly after the group as best as she could.

Vin'dehl paused, glancing back to Lyna just before she fell. Smiling apologetically to Sapphira, the elf let go of her hand in order to step over to Lyna and pull her to her feet. "Careful," he said, stroking her cheek. "You're going to hurt yourself, Lyna." Patting the girl's shoulder, he steered her back toward the others. "We don't want to lose you."
-
Hearing Lyna fall, Cain grit his teeth, trying not to lash out at her verbally. Did I do something wrong? Letting out a quiet hum, the Fae looked around until he saw the girl quite a ways back. By the time he moved to help her, Vin'dehl was already helping the blind girl to her feet and heading back toward them.
Narrowing his white eyes, the Fae frowned, turning his gaze back to the hidden path they had been taking. After pointing out an area where they could rest, Cain slipped over to Vin'dehl, nodding to the tall elf before brushing his hand off of Lyna's shoulder. The broad-shouldered male wrapped an arm about her shoulders, giving her a bit of sight once again.
"Are you alright?" he asked, looking over her features for a moment before reaching out to brush a leaf from her hair.

“I am sorry….I thought I was being careful. I will try to be more careful next time. Thank you, once again, Ven‘dehl.” she whispered to him very softly, she clasped her hands in front of her and moved towards the place he was steering her to. She stopped in her tracks when she could hear no one else around her, she didn’t even feel Ven’dehl’s hand on her shoulder anymore, that was when Cain wrapped an arm around her shoulder and she could see again. She saw that everyone had stopped to rest and that Ven’dehl had moved back towards Sapphira, she turned her head and seemed to look at Cain, a sad frown on her face. “I am sorry…..I didn‘t mean to do anything wrong. I am sorry for everything.” she said to him, she started to cry as she apologized to him but she felt like she had done wrong some how and that she needed to apologize for it. She then tilted her head down like a guilty child would and started to squeeze her hand tightly.

"Why should you apologize?" Cain asked, his hand moving toward her cheek as they stepped amongst the others as they began to rest. "You didn't do anything." The flourished marking over his heart almost seemed to shimmer in the sun as they sat in a warm area against the trunk of a tree. The Fae carefully pulled Lyna to sit beside him. "Why look so guilty?" His cold hands took up both sides of her face, bringing her eyes up to his - even though they weren't really seeing with their real sight.

“I made you uncomfortable when I brought up my mother‘s people…..then when you were talking about the woods….it was like you were speaking to a child and I felt childish, then you let my hand go like I had done something wrong…….I am sorry.” Lyna said softly to him after she had sat down next to him, she then sighed lightly when his cold hands touched her face, she instinctively pressed her face against them and put her hands on top of his. She looked at him, or turned her eyes towards his even though she couldn’t really see him. She still felt rather bad about everything even after she had told him.

"I didn't mean to make you feel that way," the Fae said when she mentioned the way he had spoken of the woods, and he ran his thumbs over her cheeks. "And you weren't holding my hand. I thought you wanted me to let go." Sounding a bit flustered, Cain sighed. He said nothing of her mother's people.
What can I say of witchcraft and the people that practice it?
The silver-haired male pulled Lyna to him a bit, resting his forehead against hers. "I can't tell the difference between silence and discomfort with you, Lyna."

“I am sorry.” Lyna whispered to him since he was so close to her, she had a blush on her face, she reached her hands up and cupped his face like he was doing her’s. “I don‘t try to be so complicated……” she said to him before she kissed his lips lightly, she then turned her head away, hiding her bright red blush from his sight, she even let her hands drop from his face. “I am sorry…..I don‘t know what I was thinking.” she said to him softly as started to run her fingers through her hair that was hanging over one shoulder.

Miranda smiles exposing her fangs"good i'm glad it went well"she gets up and wobbles over slightly since shes still tired.I'm glad I could help heal your wounds"letting out a sigh and looking around the cave it felt like home to her and she wished she didn't have to go. Dante sighed, and lay back on the floor, staring up at the ceiling of the cavern. "Tonight, we find them." No doubt, they have moved. "And when we do, we will need to set them up." And there are a few ways to do it, depending on where they are at the time.
Looking up at the vampire, Dante blinked slowly. When did she get so. . . . The dragon frowned slightly, and turned his face away from the woman. She isn't of my kind. That thought was supposed to keep him from thinking about her. It barely worked - at all.
"Come and rest," Dante said suddenly, patting the ground beside him. "You look ready to collapse, Miranda."
-
The instant her lips touched his, Cain fell still as though he wasn't quite sure how to react, unmoving save the gentle breeze that shifted his long hair. Lyna moved away from him, and the Fae slowly let his hands lower into his lap. "Everyone can be complicated," he said finally, trying to break the now awkward silence. "Whether they try to be or not."
Reaching forward, Cain rested a hand over hers, bringing his gaze to meet Lyna's. "I understand that isn't what you intended. Please understand that I never intended to come off as rude." Ever. Not to you.
Letting his hands fall away from Lyna once again, the Fae turned his gaze to the others, watching them for a moment before frowning. They needed to get moving again if they were to reach the city within the time frame he'd given them.
