There is a vocal group of feminists who are skeptical of transgender people because a lot of transgender people claim that they "feel male" or "feel female" and use their masculine or feminine gender role in society as their main piece of argument of why they feel they are transgender. I see the fault in using this as the basis for a transgender identity because it is talking about gender roles that a society creates and not something that is based on biological fact. But, if someone's main desire to transition deals with physical traits seen with being male or female, does that bypass the argument that is set forth?
Dunkin Donuts has blueberry coffee, as well as a brand that they sell in grocery stores near me that is pretty local called New England coffee.

I find a lot of "vocal" groups to be rather full of crap.
Regardless, how is everyone?

Maybe we can revive it if we keep chatting!
So I'm an odd size for clothes, sometimes I wear clothes from the boys section and sometimes I wear clothes from the men's section.... I've been noticing in some stores that their size Small has been moved up from a 30/32 to a 34/36 which is way too large for me to wear, but I'm about to be out in the work force and need to buy some dress shirts..what's the best thing to do? My shoulders are sometimes too large for the boy's xl dress shirts...

You could try finding an extra small or check to see if the store has a tailor. Usually they're pretty cheap and well worth it for properly fitting clothes. And if the store doesn't have one, check at other stores. Often they don't mind tailoring clothes from other stores. I worked at a store that had one. For something like that I think she charged around 5 - 10 bucks. I could be wrong though. I also found that tailors that ran out of their own store charged more. That could be different where you are so they may be an option as well.

There are not extra smalls in professional looking clothes in my area, but I do remember hearing about a store that tailors clothes for a small price. I never really remember it, but I probably should. Thanks cookiedough!
ps. On a side note, yay for dragons, I see that you like them too!

-A voice from the shadows- I understand that people come and go. Life is just predictable enough to know that for most people, it's NOT predictable and things happen (online or offline) and you can get distracted.
@Kitami- I like the comic in your signature (I'm not sure if your signature rotates or not, but 'comic' should be enough for you to deduce what I am referring to)

hrm... posting here, i'd feel like i would be necro-ing
a thread, but, this thread is worth it! o u ob
hi everyone~ > u < i'm rather new to menewsha, but
not to life~ i was directed here by crow, but i'm not
sure if anyone is still even here at the moment~ just
still thought i'd put my little thoughts that i have about
this topic in here~ = u =
i think my real reason for my transgender-ism is that
while growing up, my father always favorited my brothers.
i always idolized him, because he was always there, a
some sort of omnipresent being who was male, if you will.
any time my mum wanted me to do something {/as young
as three, mind you,} she'd tell me that if i did it, i'd become
more like daddy. o x o needless to say, to become more
perfect, i did what i was told to do.
through out it all, i never realized what kind of person
my father was. he was abusive in every way imaginable
to me, but because i had no other 'model' as a father,
i thought there was nothing wrong. he manipulated me
and told me really strange things and convinced me that
i was worthless. he never harassed my brothers like that,
so i assumed that being male would be my security blanket.
i still feel like that to be honest, almost like he's watching me,
but he's been out of my life for a good 9 years or so? a
part of it might be also because my mother refuses to
acknowledge the fact of what he did to me when i was younger,
{/not beating if that gives you any sort of clue} and that she
used becoming male as a means to get me to do things. o n o
just saying that's my reasons why...
not sure what else to say~
