I had a bit of an interesting experience earlier today. You must bear with me through a tiny bit of backstory: Late Sunday night after being depressed and making every wrong freeway maneuver possible (wrong exchange, wrong exit, lost in SF for a bit, wrong enterance almost going to treasure island) I wasted all of my fuel and ended up close to home about 10:00 PM on a Sunday... when everything is closed... EXCEPT -anticipation- Jack in the Crack with their Midnight lobby hours and 24 hour drive-thru.
The drive-thru line was literally spilling out onto the street so I parked and went inside and hung my cane on the counter (disabled, bad back, helps to walk with a cane, not mandatory, but any bit of relief). When I grabbed my food to leave, I forgot the cane... not the first time that's happened either. Monday... I had trouble sleeping at night and slept all through the day so I couldn't go. I went today early afternoon. They all knew about 'the cane' they all saw yesterday but it took them about 20 minutes to find it today.
I couldn't really fault a bunch of fast food peons considering I was the one that was out of it enough to leave my property there in the first place. Thankfully canes are not high on the list of 'items to steal'. I got back in my ride, turned on the ignition, had classic rock blasting, was just about to pull out when this lady comes running up to my window. I couldn't hear what she was saying over the music so I eventually just killed my car. She was holding her business card... apparently a chakra worker and she said she saw me and was really concerned that I needed major help.
I'm a low-key energy worker, or so I dub myself, too. I believe in auras, and chi/ki. I have many 'interesting' tales but those are for another time and place.
Fact of the matter is: I am ill. My body, my mind, and I really wouldn't be surprised if other things were off kilter, in fact I would expect it. She wanted to come in my car. Even though I had recently cleaned out any potential Darwinism growing, I felt that the car wasn't conducive to energy work and said 'no'. She then suggested her car. What was that Mommy and Daddy banged into my head since I was two and three? Don't get in cars with strangers? Especially ones that run up to you waving a card in the Jack in the Box car park? Yeah... I suggested the nearby park but she said her husband was inside and I made the assumption they were sharing a vehicle so I suggested a tree nearby. She then suggested outdoor tables. Once again... rather chaotic and unclean energy but I went with it.
She told me many things I had heard from people all over the globe in all kinds of settings, but there were a few new things. One of which was:
You are/have a [gender]'s soul trapped in a [opposite biological sex]'s body. I was wearing my pajama bottoms, with a T shirt, with my trenchcoat thrown over, same old black boots as ever. I wasn't exactly going out of my way to cross dress one way or another or even 'dress androgynously'. Yet I've put so much work, energy, thoughts into gender roles and condensed much of it here... this is sort of my 'playroom' for ideas and such, and I adore my 'playmates' and their thoughts as well.
I just think that was creepy that someone picked up on that, and I wonder if it is true. I'm still not spawning either way so it doesn't matter.

Woohoo! A genderless thread!
The_Crow:
About the "You are/have a [gender]'s soul trapped in a [opposite biological sex]'s body" part: I've had that before. The mother of a friend has said that to me a few years ago. I was thinking about gender roles and what gender I would/could be. I never said a word about that to any one and one day she took me to another room.
With her, when you have pain anywhere, she knows before you can even say it and she can point it out exactly. Her son, my friend, had the exact same thing. One day I had a stomach ache, he walked in and, without saying a word, he laid his hand on my stomach and the pain disappeared. He didn't even know my stomach was painful.
Anyway, about his mother: she took me to another room and said that to me. She told me that my soul is old and that things happen more than you can imagine.

SexualPlacebo: No, no, I'm not a ghost, but I do walk the line between the world of the living and the world of the dead on a few levels. ;) Does your name have anything to do with the band Placebo, or did you just pick it semi-randomly?

Alfheim:- Have you tried all 4 of the over the counter headache medications?
Acetominaphin/Paracetomol = Tylenol
Ibuprofen = Advil
Naproxsyn = Aleve
Asprin (generic)
And there are some 'combinations' like excedrin, but beware because they sometiems have a bit of caffeine and that's fine for the day but not so good if you're trying to sleep.

Paracetomol = No effect. At all.
Ibuprofen = headache
Naproxsyn = Alfy stones
Asprin = makes my heart do weird shit.

I suffer chronic pain, and on average per day I take two 10/325 oxycodone(opioid/opiate)/Paracetomol... so I'm immume to it. I have to take a handful of Asprin for my headaches and since the bottle my roomate brought is expired (the potency is less) I have to take more than the directions.
What is/are "Alfy stones"?
---------- Post added 05-14-2012 at 02:11 AM ----------
I'm also aware that for some people asprin is used as some strange sort of heart THERAPY. I'm sad to hear that it has the adverse effect on you.
