Quantum Angel- I like the way you think! Your initial statement towards Kita earned you kudos in my book. I also agree with your point about the clothing. They have done a better job at making more of the existing clothes unisex, it was worse when I signed up but it is still rather annoying.

I should have warned you. That man is one of my significant others!I'll not embarrass him by saying something too affectionate in public though.

So, you're poly as well? That's fine too. Come to think of it you would fit in quite well here in San Francisco. My friend Pixel, who is a 'cuddle and bite' buddy of mine (but no sex, I don't sample that section of the salad bar) coined a phrase for the stereotype of all of his friends in San Francisco (as he's from Los Angeles) "Bi-Poly-Pagan-Goth-Geek"... and it's pretty true.

I could say the "L" word in public...

I probably would fit in there!

I live very close to San Francisco most of the time...I love it there. No being bound by society's ridiculous and arbitrary standards of "normal"! It's one of my favorite areas in the US.

I have lived in San Francisco proper in the past, but I technically live in San Mateo, which is 30-45 minutes south. My university was about 30-45 minutes north. My current roomate's family is to the east. Where do you live?

I live in Santa Rosa - about 30-45 minutes north of the city. Just a guess, but given the geography, did you go to SSU?

I went to Dominican University of California. One of my friends went to Santa Rosa Community College and had two of the same music teachers that I did (as they worked part time at both schools). I minored in music, which is why for the event I'm seriously considering entering the 'Belt it Out' contest.

Golden Gate Transit is SO overpriced. I know they did raise the prices recently but during my high school days I could hop around on the SamTrans busses for seventy-five cents. The ONE time I paid the adult fee I was questioned, so I just continued to pay the youth fare... no questions. The later when I was disabled I was questioned because it is my back that is fused and I had to show them my state disability cards... that was in between cars when my brake pads were wet hence my brakes didn't respond when it was raining once. =/

I currently go to SRJC. Small world, then!

As for the contest, good luck if you do enter! We'll be competing against each other...if, uh, I can ever figure out what song to sing. I've taken voice lessons for...about five years? I'm gonna be honest with you, I am utterly terrified of what's going to happen when my voice changes. I like being able to sing in the high ranges.

And yeah, I know what you mean about the bus fares. And the schedules! Not just Golden Gate Transit, but the city and county buses too - the city bus has a pretty standard fare, but the schedule is...lackluster. Sonoma County Transit...is expensive, and last semester I had to get up at 5:00 in the morning every other day to get to a 10:00 class! What the hell, bus system!?

But neither I nor my other partner who I live with has a car yet. So, we're stuck using that until further notice.

Well, Quantum Angel, if you can ever make it down to the city, my favourite tea place is right across from where I train Krav Maga (I'm orange belt proficient, just haven't tested due to needing physical therapy and regaining my stamina). It's called Leland tea Co. and the owner always gives me free stuff when he's there. Those who remember me also remember that I'm an extremely generous tipper so they put up with every single odd request I have.

Website: www.lelandtea.com

With the exception of this last year, I've also participated in Japantown's Anime Costume Parade and Anime Talent show for five consecutive years. J-Town ROCKS my SOCKS but is horribly expensive and I usually can't buy anything for leisure for the next two months ;_; I've been everything from Sailor Moon's Boyfriend (Seiya Kou) to the Vocaloid Len Kagamine.

Oh! P.S. Quantum Angel: Are Cheryl Ziedrich or Marcia Burchard either of your teachers? Cheryl taught my (mostly a-capella) chamber singers group for two semesters and was my private piano instructor for two semesters. Marcia taught the 'first year foundation' (which didn't count, damnit) about music and also my second year 'harmony and musicianship' where everything relies on the circle of fifths, inversions, writing chords under basic melodies, or writing basic melodies on top of chords according to the 'rules'. -_- But since I was a music MINOR come musicianship we only worked with the 'fixed DO' on the diatonic scale as opposed to the 'moveable DO'.

...no they're not, but I DID take a fencing class from Peter Burchard two semesters ago.

Really small world. Really, REALLY small world. @[email protected]

Did you like their classes? I'll have to look for their names on the class schedule, if so.
