Tsunami Iyoki
Tsunami smiled, taking extra precaution to remember the woman's name, how embarrassing it would be to forget her name. How rude as well! She wouldn't dare appear in such an unappealing way. She knew very well today she'd have a very difficult time remembering the name of all the citizens in Arlington. Tsunami could feel herself grow heavier as she heard the word 'buttercream,' a good batch for a cake took at least a pound of butter, she'd be a fatty blob in no time. She shuddered at the thought, however she knew Risika would swallow the cake whole in five minutes. That young girl was a pig and sooner or later, she'd regret her eating habits... Risika would soon be doomed with the weight promised with her eating habits, the girl could eat enough to feed a family of four!

"I'm sorry but my mother would have a stroke if she knew I was eating anything with more that 70 calories. But I would really like you to enjoy it."

With a small chuckle, she nodded, understanding exactly what she meant. "I look forward as well, however, do you know where they celebrate these occasions? I'm rather lost..." She looked about at each of the shops, she'd been so sure of her directon, now she was wary. She wouldn't admit to it though...

Risika Iyoki
Her plan had been working! People were coming, the home was going to be safe afterall! She could feel a smile grow ear to ear, nothing pleased her more than this good deed, all until her boot was tossed into the trash.

"Hey!" She snapped, eyes narrowing sharply, her second scream aborted as she scampered to the garbage, fearlessly diving her hand in to fish it from the bags of reeking rubbish.

“You can knock off the bleeding scream you know, I swear on my own life this is the place I shack up.”

Her head flipped up, brown locks bouncing with her movement, full of life. Like Tsunami, she took special care of her hair. A woman's hair was everything. As the shoe was fished, her hand far into the garbage, her body nearly leaning in as well, she spied the picture and lit up in surprise. Her lips pucking together in a sour face as she found her accusations were vastly wrong.

"You-You mean you're not homeless thieves? Bu-bu-but you were breaking into that house! I-I-I!" Her boot was tossed out of the bin behind herself, landing with a hollow thump upon the ground, luckily free of any cling-on's. "Oh dear..." She stopped softly, a hand brought to cover her mouth as she blushed. As he slipped back inside for merely a moment, Risika stood in shock, staring at the entry way, comprehending and replaying the scene she started in her head. Way to make an introduction to the town. She had yet to see Tsunami cross, however she was well aware the woman possibly will be when she hears of this.

Lad? Well he hadn't been called 'lad' since he was a teenager. Certainly not in writing either, but whatever suited this man.

He pursed his lips as he scurried over to his camera bag, delicately picking his way thorough the content of the pockets tell he saw the bright white card stock peek up at him. Grabbing one off the top he shouted to the leaving man, "Gabriel wait up for a second!"

Will reached out his hand to grasp one of the taller man's. Firmly he pressed a business card into the large palm, a smile still plastered to his face. "I suppose an introduction is in order. My name is William Faust, photographer extraordinaire. Five years of professionalism under my belt, at least." Nodding his head he tapped the card twice, "Though it's been just under two years since I've worked at this studio, this card has all of my information. That is if you can't catch me right here or anything." Briefly he turned his gaze towards the girl and joked lightly, "I suppose that goes for you too Miss, now that you know where I do live and all."

"I am sorry, but unfortunately I do not know about the place or time of the event." Ally was going to suggest that she and Ms. Iyoki look for a local but no one seemed to be around at the moment.

"I came to the center to town because I believed it was the most obvious spot." Which was true. Ally had heard about their New Year celebration but she wasn't sure about how everything would go. Ally ran her soft delicate fingers through her hair in a pathetic attempt to keep the wind from blowing all about.

"I can wait with you until we find somone else. Though, I do not want to be a bother Miss Iyoki." She smiled pleasantly towards the other woiman. Her icy blue orbs shining with false glee.

Tsunami Iyoki

Tsunami frowned, she didn't know either? It was too bad she hadn't been listening close enough when she heard it mentioned by her conversing neighbors. The town center did seem like the most ideal place to hold the celebration, that or one of the schools or in a park... She felt better trusting someone else for information, over thinking things often led her down the wrong path. Tsunami's head flicked from one side to the other, in search for anyone, sure she heard sounds from the homes near by, people rising to the early day, perhaps preparing for the celebration aswell. "If you have nowhere to be at the moment, would you mind accompanying me?" A pleasant smile returned, she looked far friendlier, far sweeter than a cherub when she pulled out her smile. She'd worked so hard to memorize the feel of that smile, only until recent had she realized the importance of her demeanor, who wanted to converse with her if she wore a frown all the time?

Risika Iyoki
Risika lowered her head, rather embarrassed. Stepping past the garbage bins, she offered a polite bow, her arms folded before herself. "I'm really sorry about the mistake, " she began, "I was trying to be a good citizen." When she wasn't screaming bloody murder, the girl didn't seem half bad. Risika was naturally a polite girl, however when she was excited, often she lost control of her manners. "And I'm really sorry I threw my shoe at you." She turned her voice to Gabriel, she didn't expect him to talk to her, especially since he wasn't saying anything anyway. Risika was very sure she'd be known as the fibber through out the town, there was nothing more embarrassing knowing she was now the kid from 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf.' Her lips pursed nervously, her vibrant eyes flickering as they switched from Gabrial to William. "Is it too late to introduce myself? I surly wouldn't enjoy a nickname like 'The Girl Who Cried Wolf.'"

"Yes I would like to accompany you." Ally wasn't sure how she should talk to her new acquaintance. She never many conversations with other woman. At her parents parties she was always forced to speak with her futer potential suitors and those conversations nevr meant much to her. Even though she may look thoroughly involved. But she would be carrying on a conversation where she wasn't trying to sell herself. She tried to remember the way the maids had talked to each other. Most of it consisted of gossip, and since she was new she wasn't sure what was going on. She decided to be blunt and straight foward.

"Is there anything you wish to discuss while we wait." Oh my word, I sound like a businessman.

Will smiled warmly at the girl after he watched his silnet neighbor amble away, "Don't worry 'bout it, no harm done." He paused for a second, "Well there's the boot, but nothing that bad." He suddenly stopped talking, briefly disappearing into the house.
A camera in one hand, toddler in the other he returned. "Almost forgot this," He indicated the boy by lifting him a bit higher.

He coughed setting the boy down upon the seat of a steel blue scooter, parked tightly between two cars on the street in front of the modest house. Without looking he reached down to grasp a tiny helmet to wrap around the young boy's head, "As for rumor's I wouldn't worry. I don't think Gabriel will speak a word, and I don't dabble enough in gossip to matter any either." Grinning he threw a leg over the other side of the vehicle, standing precariously to use the kick start. "Well then," said the busy photographer as he stepped down repeatedly on the petal, "I'll be seeing you. Talk to you later, Kitty!" The Vespa roared to life quite suddenly as Will gave a final salute.

---

Click Click!

The sound of the camera was calming to the man. If he was deaf it was one of the only sounds he would truly miss.

Click!
A lilac, frozen in bloom.
Click! A child's smile brightly preserved.
Click! A memory that will far outlast, even as the subject withers away.

Yes, photography was more than a occupation for the young man. It was a way to survive. Even though he could not see most of the delicate hues of the daylilly he appreciated the curves and shades of light the sun cast. The little colors he could see, mostly reds and bright blues contrasted harshly in the bunches of accented tuberose.

"Lovely", said the man to no one in particular as he shifted his camera's direction. Will snapped another picture, making sure to adjust his shutter speed when he noticed his hand shaking a little more than he would have liked.

Tsunami had wandered to the festival with her new friend, the cake still in hand as they soon were among the celebration. With a fluttering wave and the bid of adieu, Tsunami was off on her own, slowing her pace to the movement as a snail as she admired the blossoming flowers flashing their beauty for all to see. There was nothing she appreciated more in spring than the awe-inspiring vegetation. Her heart swelled as she adored the azaleas and rhododendrons, if only hers blossomed as beautifully. Her favorite had to be the hydrangea, yet she spotted no sort among the beautiful Southern Botanical Garden. Tsunami, however refused to express her disappointment, there were so many other things to be excited over.

Her blue eyes danced over each flower, taking much time to appreciate its beauty, craving to reach out and caress the plant in gratitude for the display. Out of all, however, the Crabapples seemed to capture her attention the most successfully. She'd never seen such a flower, surprising since she held such a delight for gardening. Often she was studying new ideal plants for her garden, making note of the acidity levels, available light, the richness of the soil, what would need to be winterized and need the most to least care. Tsunami was serious about her beloved garden. There was nothing she took more pride in, she delighted the sight of neighbors passing, admiring her dedication and hard work. There was no doubt, Tsunami enjoyed being admired.

The clicks of a camera distracted her attention, a man passionately snapping pictures held the device dearly in his shaking hands. How wonderful to see someone so passionate about capturing memories, standing in observation, his clicking almost sounded as if he were trigger happy until he'd adjusted it.
"Do you have a blog?" She questioned with a sweet, heart-warming smile.

She looked lost and without a doubt, slightly nervous as she drew into the festival's Northern Botanical Garden. Subconsciously, she tucked her espresso tendrils behind her ear constantly, time after time as it slipped over her ear and back to tickling her pink cheeks. She'd been so excited, yet now she found herself embarrassed, worried some neighbors would recognize her as 'the Girl who Cried Wolf.' None stared, however the last people she wanted to run into were those she accused as thieves.

Her eyes passed over each attendee, searching recognizable head of lush, vibrant locks. Tsunami was around here somewhere, but where? With a hand curled at her chest, she wandered into the Conservatory, so very dedicated to find her guardian. Plush, pink lips pursed, her teeth soon following to draw over the delicate skin, threatening to break and peel skin if she continued. Passing all the way through the conservatory, a scent tickled her nose, flirting with her senses and drawing her attention far from the one she sought.

"Oh my god!" She whispered, tilting her head back, drawing in the delightful scent of edible matter. "What is that smell?" She had been seduced, completely charmed out of her mind by the mixed scents. She smelled no German food, but she most definitely smelled Japanese blending with many others. Risika held a love for food which proved to be wider than the Pacific Ocean, her senses were very keen and aware of everything that passed through the nostrils of her button nose. Upon scampering feet, she flocked to the Food Court. Her tongue was quick to slip past her lips, such a treat to her own eyes, so much food available! Where to begin? Wiggling her fingers, she pondered her first stop, her stomach rumbling violently in a protest of hunger. She was so ready to eat.

Ally watched as her friend trotted off.

"Well atleast she kept the cake."

She remained quiet and still and took in her surroundings. She had never been around this many people in her short lifetime. And even when she was at parties and attenting dinners she had never seen such diverstiy. With her bikes handle bars within her grasp she slowly made her way throughout the festival. Watching as people played games, ate, and enjoyed the company of strangers and their loved ones. Lookinig at the families was particularly difficult for her. After a moment or so she had to force herself to keep her smile going. Just keep up your appearance. She thought harshly to herself.

She passed a stall that had multiple toys. They weren't new. Some had small cracks and others had unremovable stains. She took an unsure step towards the vendor. A small black plush bear had caught her attention. He was missing an eye which a blue stitched 'x' had appeared. It was smilling like most teddy's normally should. He was worn and in a bad condition. But for some unknown reason she couldn't stop looking at it. She was so entralled that she didn't hear the salesman mention the deals he had on his better merchandise. She gently picked up the small stuffed animal as if it would fall apart by her mere touch.

"How much for this one." Her voice was soft and meek, it was nearly carried away by the day's breeze. The man looked at her with skeptical eyes. Almost as if he was assessing her sanity for buying such a filthy thing. He even showed her bears that were in much better condition. Ally refused to look at anything else and was admant on buying the one that was in here hands. The middle aged man stroked his beard thoughtfully and gave her a low price for the little fellla. She smiled kindly ad reached into her pocket pulling out a small sum. With a slight bow anad a thank you she moved on to the other stands, still captivated by her new friend.

Upon close inspection she could see a few loose pieces of thread sticking for his bodice, his black silver button eye had become loose. You could tell that it was a replacement for whatever eye the toy had first. She was so busy examing her new product that she completely forgot her bike that was still resting against the toy vendors stall.

Risika was quick to make her attack, slipping from table to table, snatching whatever she could upon a single plate, watching the pile grow exponentially with each passing table. She looked like quite the glutton slipping past each any every person to snatch the foods she delighted to taste dancing upon her tongue. Risika, however, was not a picky eater, thus everything ended up on her plate. In her splendor, she galloped to the nearest seat. Upon the cool bench, she sat, her plate sinking inward due to the mountain of food. Beside her sat a blond, an older guy, he didn't seem too old, he looked about Tsunami's age. With a fork in hand, she began with the Japanese portion of her place, swallowing a piece of grilled meat whole long with a few noodles dripping with a amber sauce. She listened to him groan out to the world about being lost. With a smile, she pointed one of the Japanese tables, obviously the one she had grabbed a taster of Yakisoba from. "I suggest the Japanese, and then maybe the Russian." There was no German food, thus Japanese came in second place for desirable foods, followed by Russian.
