I love it when you find a band that no one else has heard of. Post here if you've found a good, unknown band. If you've found them before they went mainstream, post that here as well. Have you gotten any friends or family members into a band that you found?

For me, I love The Clockwork Quartet and have been a fan since they had 1,000 fans on their page. I really wish they would come overseas. So far they've been my best find. My family and I found Beirut at a huge music festival. On my own, I found The Vernian Process, Anathema, The Elected, and a few I forgot, but those ones I only have a song or two from or generally don't listen to.

For me, it would be the Italian cyberpunk band Dope Stars Inc. I've been a fan of their almost since their beginning. They came to proform in the US for the first time on Halloween last year, but I couldn't go
I don't know anyone else who likes them. My sister likes a few songs I think, but she's not really a fan.

I love ABAS [a bird a sparrow]. They are REALLY unknown right now, but Haru has high hopes for them because they are REALLY good. : D
&I listened to 30h!3 before pretty much ANYONE heard of them.
Now they're extremely popular & I've lost my interest. : P

Another one is a Jpop singer that isn't very known either, her names Rurutia & she's got a really angelic voice going on. : O

*coughcough* I have tons more, but those are just some to name a few. ~.^

I've recently discovered a band called Black Veil Brides, the lead singer is 21 and I'm assuming the rest of the band is near that age. I hope they do well. I've always wanted to grow up watching a band grow :)

I don't really see it as discovering since you don't know these guys and you're not like, helping them and promoting them..
but that's just me : P

And also, I mean, fuck, I'm from Newfoundland
I see bands all the time that I doubt anyone could ever name unless they were also from here.
Unfortunately. Cuz we rock.
Google us 4 fun.

I grew up listening to the Killers and New Order. My dad has to be the biggest fan.
It was awkward suddenly hearing them on tv and my friends humming the lyrics to them. x.x And then they start with "omg I love this song". Nuh.. you heard it on the radio last week, I heard it six years ago. Blah.

New Order isn't a band anymore. The lead singer died and they changed their name (for the like 50th time) to Bad Lieutenant.
I still call them by NO because that's their name, damnit.

I haven't really discovered some that no one listens to, but I am one of the few my age that listens to 60s, that isn't the beatles or the rolling stones.
I love The Animals. They're amazing.
