Mel looked up at him and smiled. "Really? You'd let us help you with your research?" Her eyes lit up a little. "Thank you~ Even though we wouldn't be much of a help.." She giggled a little. Though Rei's really into books... Mel then placed her hands on her lap. "But it means a lot saying we can help..." She looked at the table shyly and smiled.

Al nodded agreeing with his brother. "We've only been seating in the library for hours on end reading...it's nothing dangerous like we used to go..."

She giggled softly and shook her head. "Well, We may not be much help.. but we could get you drinks and snacks..." She smirked softly. "And make sure you get out at a reasonable hour..." She giggled softly. "Or distract you so much you get no work done at all.." She murmured softly looking off to the side whistling innocently.

He blushed furiously, resisting the urge to kick D in the shin for that comment, his antenna twitching slightly as he huffed and looked away, trying to get hush blush under control.

And then the food came and there was noms... (( <<,;; you told me to....))

Mel blinked looking over at D when she mumbled the last part. She blinked and was going to ask her but when the food came she smiled and bit into her sandwich. "Yummy~ I love ham" Mel looked over at Edward. "Are you sure your not hungry? You want half of my sandwich? I feel bad eating without you since your paying" She stuck her tongue out before sipping some of her milk. "At least get me pie and I'll share with you~"

Al nodded saying thank you to the waitress. "I'm not quite sure if you'd be able to distract us" Al then paused for a minute looking over at his brother. "Oh...right...nevermind" Al laughed slightly before he started eating.

Mel blinked. "Edward did you get ADD while I was away?" Mel then paused for a moment glancing behind her out the window blinking. "Hmm..."

D stifled a giggle at her own perverse joke in her head and shook her head quickly, trying to breath deeply to calm herself waving her hand in a 'just ignore me' fashion. Once she had called her thoughts she nibbled on her sandwich beaming happily. "Yummy~" She giggled. "Mmm~ food is so good.. I feel like I haven't eaten in ages.." She whined happily and took another bite.

He raised an eyebrow at D's awkward attack and ignored her. He glanced shyly at Mel and murmured (>:3 oh yes I did...), "Um.. s-sure.. I'd love to have some of your pie..."

At that D promptly clutched the table to stabilize herself from falling out of her chair in another out burts of giggles she could no longer hold in.

Mel raised her eyebrow at D and sighed before she shook her head going back to her sandwich. "Honestly...you and your mind..." She giggled and stuck her tongue out. "And you tell me I'M a pervert...I was trying not to have it go that way but some people can't take it seriously" She smirked a bit before she blinked looking over at Edward as her face paled a little. Mel started to laugh before she started to pound on her chest coughing slightly before she fell out of her chair and onto the floor. "C-Can't breath!"

".....Brother...honestly? Did you have to say it like that..." The younger Elric sighed placing his hand on his forehead and sighed.

He blinked. "W-what? What did I say?" He frowned, scowling softly at the two girls before leaning down towards Mel. "Are you okay...?" His expression was a bit of concern, blushing soon after he realized how close he had gotten to her and looked off to the side.

She giggled, pounding her chest gently before gulping down her juice with a soft pant. "Oh gods... oh my...." She breathed, trying to catch her breath. "Whooo... okay.. you probably shouldn't say that again.. you'll kill us both..."

Al looked over at D and frowned slightly. "Are you alright" He watched her cough for a moment before taking a drink. "I-I'm sure my brother didn't realized how he said it..." He sweatdropped laughing a bit. "Well uh once we finish eating we can head back to the apartment and get you settled in since you'll be staying with us..." Al then looked over towards his brother before back over at D leaning closer. "I'll try to convince my brother to let the two of you go shopping as well" He whispered. "Only one set of clothes will be a bit of a problem"

Mel coughed for a moment taking a deep breath before grabbing the side of the table and helped herself up. "I-I'm fine..." She panted slightly. "No harm done" She brushed herself off and pushed her plate away from her. "I think I'm full" She laughed a bit. "I don't think I can deal with pie right now"

She smiled softly and giggled hugging Al. "Thank you Al-kun.." She murmured and looked at Ed sticking out her tongue. "See what you did? there is always room for pie.. and she can't have any now..."

He frowned softly. "I.. I didn't mean.." He sighed and shook his head. "What ever.." He grumbled and shifted in his seat. "Are we all done here then...?"

Al blushed a bit before he rubbed the back of his head nervously. "No problem..." He gulped before he turned to his brother. "I think everyone's done"

Mel looked over at Ed before she blinked. "Don't worry about it Edo~" She giggled not having called him that in ages. "We can always come back later and share" Mel stood up before she stretched and placed her hands behind her back.

He blushed looking down at the table, not having been called that in what seemed like ages. "R-right.." he murmured and got up, waving to the waitress to sign for the check, leaving a heavy tip on the military's dime and smiled. "Thanks a lot.." He looked to the others. "Lets get going.." He smiled, trying to ignore what had just happened.

She smiled and released Al, stretching gently, with a soft yawn. "Waaah.." She giggled. "Yes~ lets go.." She looked out the window. "into the rain.. again..." She giggled. "But I think I'm warm enough now that I'm full... playing in the ran should be fun."

Mel rubbed the back of her head staring over at the window. "Yeah~ Now that we're full going in the rain will be fun~" She giggled placing her hands in her pockets before she tilted her head and looked around. It's a little odd that Lilly isn't here...I would have though she'd come too... She couldn't help but feel like she was close by. Mel opened the door leaning against it waiting for the rest of them to leave. Mel yawned and rubbed her eyes under her glasses. She was tired.

Al looked over at D. "Are you sure you wouldn't like a jacket again? I don't think having a full stomach could protect you from a cold" He stepped out of the building. "It seems to be lightening up a bit...by the looks of it, it shouldn't last to much longer"

She giggled softly. "I'll be fine.." She smiled brightly. I'll just take a warm shower right after and I won't know the difference." she stuck out her tongue and hopped forward, smiling as she blinked up at the sky. "It is lighter at least, not so bad.." She smiled and looked back at them. "Come on.. lets go before Mel passes out in a puddle.."

He sighed softly and took off his coat, flopping it on Mel's head to cover her head and shoulders, more so to stop her glasses from getting spotty. He scratched his cheek looking away and folded his hands behind his head walking forward before she could protest.

AL chuckled. "If you say so..." He chuckled looking behind them at his brother and Mel. "We wouldn't want that..." He turned back to D and laughed a bit. "Though I'm not quite sure a puddle would be very comfy" Al then quickened his pace a bit before he moved over to the apartment building and opened the door. "Almost there"

Mel was in the middle of a rather large yawn when a coat was flopped over her head. She looked up at it before turning to Edward. "Thanks Edo-Kun~" She snuggled into the coat and hummed to herself following D into the building. "Brings back memories~" Mel then rubbed her chin for a moment. "I wonder if I still remember the way..." She then nodded to herself before she took off down the hall.

He blushed and looked away. "Y-you're welcome.." He mumbled quietly, walking slowly behind him, hoping to not get teased.

She giggled softly and shook her head. Damn it boy.. you need to be a man... she huffed softly and shrugged continuing to follow Al, smiling as she shook out her hair before walking into the building. She blinked a bit running her fingers through her hair as she watched Mel take off. "H-hey.. careful.. we can't have you tripping..."

He sighed and shook his head, wringing out his braid and drying himself off with alchemy. He raised an eyebrow at D, waiting for an insult that never came.

Al laughed a bit at his brother before he watched the girl just take off down the hallway. "...Is that safe? She's a bit wet and with the floors here...she might trip and fall...if I remember correctly...brother told me she isn't exactly...well...graceful..."

Mel skipped to a stop just before she slid into a wall. "Ah close one..." She gulped then turned to a door and pointed. "This one?" She blinked swaying back and forth in her spot hoping she remembered correctly. It had been a few years so she could have been mistaken.

She giggled softly watching Mel slide to the wall. She shook her head and walked down the hallway, her hands clasped behind her back as she stepped carefully, knowing the floor was slick. Her sneakers slid a little, having little to no tread left on them but she caught herself with a bit of grace and dignity and continued her treacherous journey down the hall. She smiled and made her way finally beside Mel and blinked at the door. "I think so..."

He watched quietly and shook his head, watching as D faltered a bit, half hoping she'd fall to himself. When she reached Mel's side he made his way forward and blinked at them. "Well.. yeah, this is the right door." He blinked, a bit surprised they had remembered.

"Yay! I remembered!" Mel grinned jumping up and down for a moment before she fell and landed on her bottom. "Owie..." She stuck her tongue out. "Clumsy me..." She rubbed the back of her head and grinned. "But I'm still awesome! I remembered!"

"It's surprising you remembered..." Al blinked. "But congrats..." He nodded rubbing his head before he opened the door and stepped inside. "I hope you can make yourself at home...please try to ignore all the papers...we're in and out of here all the time and we don't always have time to...clean up...I would have cleaned up a bit if I knew we were having guests"

She giggled and waved her hand. "Don't worry.. my room isn't the cleanest there is.." She wrinkled her nose. "But it isn't the worst I've ever seen.." She shuddered at the thought and shook her head to get rid of the images in her head. She giggled and helped Mel up and tilted her head. "May I take a shower..?" She smiled softly and scratched her cheek. "Do you think I could bother you to dry my clothes again so I won't have to put them on wet?"

He closed the door behind them and yawned softly flopping down on the couch, a few papers scattering, but he paid them no mind, relaxing into the couch quietly. "Hnn.." he needed to get his mind off... things...

"You should see Edward's room...good luck finding the floor..." He laughed. "You're welcome to take a shower everything should be in there" He then nodded. "Of course" Al smiled before he dried her clothes with Alchemy again. "Tomorrow if you'd like we could see about getting you more clothes for your stay"

"Thanks!" She grinned up at D before she moved into the room and sat down in a chair. Mel glanced down at all the papers before she slid off her chair onto the floor started to collect them and put them on a table. "I'll shower after you D" She smiled as she went back to her paper collecting.

He huffed. "Tch.. I'm not paying for that.."

"Of course not.. the military will.."

"Good point.." He mumbled and frowned softly. "Mel.. you don't have to do that.." He frowned softly getting up and helping her seeing there was no real stopping her.

She giggled and went to the bathroom, locking the door behind her out of habit and got ready for her shower, stepping into the warm water before the chill from the rain could set him. She hummed happily and washed her hair out, standing under the warm water for a bit before turning it off and taking her time drying off and getting dressed once again. She wasn't in there for as long as she could have been, but she wasn't going to use up all the warm water before Mel had a chance to shower. She hummed and got dressed again toweling off her hair as she walked out with a soft yawn.

Mel looked over at him and smiled. "It's the least I can do..." She giggled a little. "I'm not much use for anything else..." She stuck her tongue out. "So I might as well keep things clean" Once she cleaned up a little section she watched D walk out of the bathroom. "My turn I guess" She stood up moving off towards the bathroom and closed the door behind her. Mel undressed and placed her clothes in a pile before turning the water on and stepping under it.

Al looked over at D when she finished and smiled. "Feeling better?" He looked over at the pile of paper's Mel had collected before he picked them up and placed them on a desk over on the other side of the room.

She giggled and nodded, hanging the damp towel over a wooden chair to trough out as she combed her fingers through her hair quietly. She giggled softly. "I guess this apartment would be our first job.." She frowned softly and lifted the corner of a small stack of papers with her toes. "I don't see how either of you could live here like this.. it's a mess... though at least it's not covered in garbage and dirty dishes.. you guys just need to get organized really..." She blinked and tilted her head. "Is there any kind of order to these papers?"

"Not really..." He stoop up looking at the small area of clean floor. "I guess some of them are numbered... but it's been like this for a while now... papers and books scattered everywhere... we usually come here from the research area and research some more.. fall asleep and go back out.. we never really had that much time to clean up."

"We'd clean it up if we had the time..." Al sighed and shook his head. "It's just with all the research we've been doing...there's no time" He sighed. "I apologize for the mess"

The bathroom door opened for a minute before it was quickly closed. A few minutes later it opened again and Mel peeked out before she rubbed her head and walked out of the bathroom. "Almost forgot where I was for a second" She laughed a bit placing everything neatly in a pile and looked around. "Can't wait to start cleaning this" Mel walked over and flopped down on he couch and stretched before yawning. She rested her head on the arm of the couch.

She giggled softly and shook her head. "Mel.." She scowled and stuck out her tongue. "You're horrible.. you'd probably give the boys a heart attack..." She shook her head again and smiled blinking over at Al. "Um.. where are we sleeping..?" She figured it was better to ask the nicer of the pair since she was nearly certain Ed would try to lay a 'witty' remark for her question.

"The floor..." He grumbled and crossed his arms. He was not giving up his room.

Al opened his mouth to answer D but then sighed and shook his head at his brother. "You're welcome to my room" The younger Elric smiled. "Though it isn't big enough for the two of you..." He couldn't force his brother to do the same thing he was. "Well...it's not quite bed time yet..." He laughed nervously. "Why don't we just catch up...I'm sure we both have quite a few stories for each other"

Mel was content with the couch. She was tired and didn't really want to argue. Not that she really had the right to argue. She stretched a bit and yawned. Mel turned to Al and blinked. If D was gonna take his room Al would be out here. She'd give him the couch and she would be stuck with the floor. She rubbed her arm a bit. She perked up a little when she heard stories. "Sounds fun~"
