Hello, All!
Anyone up for a bit of dialoguing? Or making new acquaintances? Or simply asking questions? :)
I'm around for most things ~

I'm getting ready to eat and possibly, at some point, take a nap. I need one bad. I just can't seem to lay down for one. I just stare at the walls. o.o

Oh, I plan to be on for a while.
Anyways, the feeling unwell is just a bug we think... my stomach is none too pleased with me as of late, and I've been missing school due to it. Have a migraine and some chills to go with it, too. :/

I knooow! I love school! It's been a bummer for me.
And I have a friend who keeps asking me if I'll be in school tomorrow and I kinda want to bash him over the head and go "I'M NOT A FRIGGIN CLAIRVOYANT!" >.>
Being sick puts me in a grouchy mood.
And I'm going to miss my Hands of Christ ceremony tomorrow, most likely...

Yeah I was about to say I do not see aggression from you often, at least aggression in a bad way.
And what is this hands of christ ceremony?

Ha ha. I'm actually not an aggressive person, and if I am, it's usually in a not-so-bad way... >.> =not going into more depth than that= In any event, I do have a temper and get angry, I'm a very passionate person too (Yay, Saggi!), but I can't stand violence. I vomited after watching Hotel Rwanda, Saving Private Ryan, All's Quiet on the Western Front, and a few others. I literally can't stand violence. Though, the throwing up after Saving Private Ryan was more because my grandfather was a medic at Normandy. He was ON those beaches. :( I couldn't bear thinking about that.
Anyways, the few times I slip up and am violent, I hate myself for it afterward... most of the time I try to be more pacifistic, though... keep a tight rein on the inherited violence (y'know... the abuse cycle). I tend to be self-abusive more than anything else, though I don't cut or whatnot. I'm more the emotionally/mentally self-abusive type. I do get pretty grouchy on occasion, but usually only when I'm sick or it's that ToM. >.< And the only time I'd really get violent would be to protect someone I care about. Otherwise, I couldn't... and either way, I'd still feel like scum afterward.
I mean, I did cut once a few years ago, but I blacked out when it happened, and then promised my partner I wouldn't do it again. So I haven't.
The Hands of Christ is an award I won from the Roman Catholic diocese of Rochester, NY, for dedicating my youth to community service. The ceremony is held to honor the recipients, and then the Bishop gives us our awards... it's really prestigious. :) I wasn't expecting to get it at all.

Well when I was hinting at aggression i was talking more about passion. I can tell you are quite passionate.
I understand about the whole violence thing. It is easy to feel like violence is somehow related to failure, especially with the abuse cycle thing (something I was/am still in). I think violence can be a release of anger if it used in an appropriate way, but unfortunately it rarely is. And standing up for loved ones is always a good example
And congratulations on that award, you are really awesome!

=chuckles= Well, then, yes... I do tend to be extremely passionate. But I think that's a good thing, rather than a bad thing, for the most part anyways. Sometimes being so passionate can really hurt you, but I think it's better to feel really deeply than to not feel at all, yanno?
Yeah... it kinda sucks. But I try to be my best... it's one of the main reasons I don't believe in spanking or whatnot for child-rearing, because I know if/when I had kids and I went to spank them, well, that's just too close to letting the lid off of the pot that's holding my more abusive anger in. I'd rather expend that energy on more constructive things, yanno?
Thankies. :) And naw, I'm not. I just like helping people. XD

I agree with you completely Zenith. I try to not think of getting hurt by caring too much because that is just how I am. I could not stand not caring, that is the ultimate failure to me
I also firmly believe that hitting children is bad, does not really help development in any way. There are so many more good ways to go about that.
And yes you are helping people is directly related to being awesome

Exactly. I'd rather be able to care as deeply as I do, and offer a safe haven for the people I care about, than not care and see them suffer without someone to rely on.
Yeah. My last semester's health professor was wondering how I'd turn out as a parent, 'cause my father fell into the far left of the spectrum (abusive), and my mother fell into the wishy-washey, "I love you, but I don't really care" category. She seems to think I'll be a pushover as a parent. But then again, my mate is Asian, so hopefully he can back me up with some of the Asian-parent sternness if/when he and I end up together in that way or whatnot. XD
Well, shucks. You're gonna make me blush.

I agree completely
I am sure that you will end up as a great mom, and a stern partner would definitely help if you feel like you are not being stern enough.
And I am glad, you should never doubt that helping people is not one of the most important things to do in life.

So long as both he/she and I manage to remain balanced, without putting one another into the "good cop", "bad cop" roles...
=fidgets= Yeah, but "awesome" isn't a word I'd usually associate myself with. A wee bit embarrassing to get a compliment like that. >//.//<
Hello "Miss"fit! :D (Sorry, I had to make that play on words). How are you this morning, besides taking a dive back into the bizarre realm of Menewsha?

Hey missfit!
It is not embarrassing at all, I think I use the word awesome too much anyway. Not that that should make you feel like the compliment is any less important
