Mizuki ignored the mages, trusting Vesper to take care of them. Instead, she turned her attention to the colorful wisps that hung in the air over where a demon had been killed. The mana swirled in the air, forming complex designs and random shapes. It was so entrancing. Mizuki didn't notice when shetook that first step forward. Nor the second. All she could focus on was the mana hovering just outside the barrier. In her head, she heard a wordles song, calling to her. It was so alluring...

Could it be that the mana is... calling me?

Still absorbed in her little world, Mizuki stepped past the barrier, her hand reaching out. All was calm for a split second, until she touched the cloud of mana. In a burst, the mana shot towards her, surrounding her and filling her body. It caused an explosion in the canyon, spreading like a shockwave. The onslaught of the new power and so much of it caused Mizuki's head to spin and her vision to blur. Her legs buckled and she fell to her knees, shaking a bit, confused.

Taking heavy breaths, her vision began to clear. Hoo... Boy... What just happened?

Vesper smiled as Mizuki began to understand, so this would be her first drawing of mana.. However she would have to teach her lover one more thing.. But not just yet, let her taste it, taste the power and understand it. The dark skinned woman broke out into a run, charging down the canyon road, leaping aside when fireballs were sent her way, sometimes bursting forward at greater speed, lightning striking the places where she had just been standing, blades of wind screaming through the air and slicing through boulders and the walls, but everything was being directed away, off-angle, so that it would not go to Mizuki as she absorbed the mana power.

She charged them when she was within range, grasping the first by the throat and spun on the spot, tossing him like a bullet into one of his companions, the two of them being crushed into the wall of the canyon and exploding into light. She turned around, jumping another of the demon mages, cuffing him in the jaw and sending him spinning before she back-flipped, cracking his jaw with her ankle and sending him into the air.
She vanished, reappearing up in the air above him as she spun around, kicking him in the stomach and launching him down towards one of the other mages, the two being crushed intothe ground and eventually dying, their physical forms vanishing to reveal the light again.

She vanished from the air, reappearing by the few surviving mages and one by one tore them apart until all that left was yet another show of light and color that streamed toward her almost unconsciously, absorbing into her body as she waited in place, looking up the path to Mizuki,
"Hurry on down ehre, Mizuki!"

"Nyaaa..." Her vision was still a bit blurry, but she had to go to Vesper. Standing on weary legs, she walked slowly over to her, gaining strength with each step. By the time she reached the demon, her steps were sure again and her wan't spinning anymore. "Vesper... Is it supposed to be like that? The mana... thing..."

Once she reached the demon, she lifted up the gun. "And how can I use this? It's not making sense." He arm dropped to her side, head bowing a bit. "Ugh... I've never been so confused in my life." She let out a deep sigh.

Vesper watched as the woman got her bearings after drawing in the mana. It was like watching a child find their feet, a strange proud sense overcoming her as she got closer, this proud feeling changing when she was close, she stood close to Mizuki, hands upon her hips as she stared at the other woman, waiting for her to finish before she spoke again,
"You will get used to it.. But a warning.. The rush and the strength you feel when absorbing a demons mana is addicting.. If you are not careful you will lose yourself to it and become drunk with power, you will want more. You must keep your mind clear or conquest and death will be all you know and care for.. beyond me of course." She added the last bit in as a reminder and chuckled, then grabbing her hand softly, the one holding the gun. Her fingers massaged over Mizuki's as she looked aside tot he gun calmly then back to her,
"Mana crystals are as universal as mana itself, solid formations of energy, they draw little bits from you, but you kill and absorb more than the weapons can take.. Some humans who have utilized our weapons and did not know about absorbing mana have died using our weapons." She answered, "You can use it, it does not need to make sense. A sentient weapon designed to recognize specific masters may not but such things are more difficult to craft and costly.."

Eventually she sighed, leaning forward as she used a hand to tip her chin up and kissed Mizuki on the lips, perhaps not as passionately as before, but no less loving. She embraced the other woman closer for a moment but then broke her lips away, her eyes closed as she breathed, quite simply enjoying being there with her,
"Try not to think too hard about it.. Accept it as it comes and it will become more natural.. I am here with you, ask me anything you want to know, and I will answer you,"

She looked aside for a moment, the canyon was taking a left turn not far from them, but she would continue when she was sure Mizuki was ready,
"Mizuki.." She started suddenly, her eyes gleaming with curiosity, "I know so little about you, tell me something of yourself.. For any normal demon pairing, that you are strong would be enough.. But for us.. I want to know more.. Tell me your secrets.." She leaned in to whisper in her ear, "Tell me your dreams.."

Enjoying the touches, Mizuki thought about it. This whole mana thing was relatively new to her, but it made a certain amount of sense. All she had to do was control her feelings when absorbing mana. From Vesper's wording, it was most obvious that it would be happening again. She smiled. She was lucky to have a woman like Vesper with her. Vaguely she wondered what it would be like to have a sentient weapon before she was distracted with the sweetest kiss.

After the kiss was broken, Mizuki found herself having trouble focusing on what Vesper was saying, but she got the idea. What she said next, though... That was completely unexpected. My secrets...?

My... Mizuki blushed a bit as she looked into Vesper's eyes, ...dreams...

"I'm not sure about my secrets. I have a few, but I'm sure you can find them out for yourself." She smiled, raising a hand and putting a finger to Vesper's lips. "You have my complete confidence. As for my dreams... She tilted her head a bit, thinking. "I don't know. I... I grew up on the streets, fighting just to survive every day. All I knew was fighting. I stole books from trash cans and taught myself to read. Sometimes I would peek in the school. But I neve got a proper education, yet somehow I managed. I turned 18 and the BRDC sought me out. I didn't have anything else, so I thought, 'Why the heck not?' After that, I've still been fighting, but now I get paid for it and I get a place to sleep. ...I suppose..." Mizuki paused.

"...What I really want is an opportunity to relax. Though I love fighting, I would very much likto take a break. To get away and just relax. It's something I've never done before." She stopped talking at this point, distractedly fiddling with the collar of Vesper's outfit.

Vesper smirked when Mizuki teased her with the secrets, she wanted to know, but if Mizuki did not want to tell her she would indeed have ot find out, or even earn those secrets. She held her arms around the other as she listened to her speaking, her head was tilted just slightly, golden eyes examining Mizuki's face but locking onto her eyes. Those amethyst pools drew her in little by little, but she concentrated on what was said right through to the end.

"An opportunity to relax... We will have that once I destroy the Overlord of this Netherworld and have one of my vassals commandeer it." She replied, pressing against her softly and smiling a little.. Perhaps a mortal would not be such bad company after all.. But was this love or was this simply God's manipulation of their souls..? Vesper had lusted before, as she did for Mizuki, but there was something strangely profound about it,
"Mizuki.." She began, looking into those eyes again for a small while, "Even if it is His will and not ours that we should be together.. I am glad of it.. That he would mark us as matching souls.. If this is the only way I can experience true love then I am glad that it is with you."

She took one of Mizuki''s hands, it was well placed because she could easily just turn it palm down, resting it against her chest where her heart could be felt pulsing in a strong thrumming beat,
"This is yours.." She stated softly, guiding the hand down the exposed flesh, shivering as she guided Mizuki's fingers down between her own breasts, "All of me.." She added, crossing her hands oer Mizuki's and winked, "I promise you wont be disappointed, my love.."
She reached her arms forward, around the woman's neck and put her face close to her soulmates', lips hovering mere centimeters from Mizuki's, she was tempting her to be the one to take action this time,
"Lets go.." She added, her warmth breath washing over Mizuki's mouth.

Mizuki let her talk, smiling when Vesper admitted to being glad that they were soulmates. She was glad, too. She had never expected to ever find such love. Now that she had found it... she couldn't imagine how she had managed to survive all those years without it.

My, the lust is getting hard to ignore... was all she could think as she felt Vesper controlling her hands. The feel of the the flesh against her fingertips, both her own and the other's, caused a shiver to go up and down her spine. Blushing, she smirked, "I cetainly do hope so. I don't like being dissappointed."

As Vesper moved to kiss her only to stop millimeters away, Mizuki found herself pouting. She wanted a kiss.

She blushed. Wow... I certainly have changed a lot in these past few hours...

She silently let Vesper lead her off after grabbing two more of the discarded demon guns. ...Not like they would need them any more.

Vesper pursed her lips softly, a little disappointed that Mizuki hadn't taken the chance she offered.. Perhaps another time, she supposed, slipping from her companion though slid her hands down the woman's arms before she turned away fully, proceeding down the canyon, deeper into the darkness, it was first a left turn around the corner that they had to take, following it further down into a large chamber, though it was relatively empty.

Vesper decided to ignore it, she had a better purpose than to explore a large room, nor deal with whatever was hiding int he darkness there as she lead Mizuki onward.
The creature of the room was silent, encroaching them from above slowly but surely until it landed in Vesper's path. it was a dragon.. or at least what could be described as one, an almost humanoid stature as it opened its jaws and roared at Vesper, muscled arms supported its body on the ground, legs spread behind it and tail whipping about wildly.
The demoness was barely even stunned as she looked up at the creature, raised her brows as it extended its wings, staring down at her, but she simply began to walk forward, as though she intended ot walk directly through him. With an insulted snarl he swiped a large claw at her. For a moment it looked as if he'd succeeded, her fore tearing apart like smoke, and that was what it became as it went clear and colorless.
She reappeared below the beast, rested on her knees while her upper body was lowered. She casually thrust a fist upward and the beast yelped, the hot air in its lungs forced out in a strange gargled gasp. There was a flash of light at the point of impact and a blast, the dragon jumped up into the air and Vesper ran forward, grasping the dragon by the tail and swung it full circle, slamming it into the canyon wall then patted her hands off calmly.

Oddly enough the creature was still alive, Vesper didn't seem to car as it weakly raised its claw in Mizuki's direction, it seemed Vesper had left dealing with the creature to her,
"Don't wast time playing with it." She added suddenly, "We have bigger fish to fry." She stated, breaking into a light run. What other hoops did she have to smash through just to get to the overlord of this realm anyhow?

Mizuki looked at Vesper, then looked back as the dragon, then at Vesper, then once more at the dragon before yelling after Vesper. "But...! Do I have to? It's so cute!" she cooed at the dragon, who gave her a strange look. Pouting, she hestiantly hoisted the gun up and fired 3 times, each one piercing its head. Not lingering to see what would happen to it, Mizuki ran off after Vesper. Jogging alongside her, she stuck her tongue out at her in a childish gesture.

"I wonder what we'll see next...."

"Who knows..?" Vesper replied, smirking to herself when she saw Mizuki sticking her tongue out before grinning, "I could suck on that till it goes numb, don't tempt me any further or the ride stops here till you're punished." She winked, she was joking of course, lacking the seriousness of a true threat as she ran. She could hear the clomping of her own books quite audibly, mixing in with Mizuki's. She'd been so used to hearing herself only that it made an oddly pleasant change.. She wondered if god had intended this too? Fighting alongside ones lover.. It was not an unheard of story.
Perhaps it was their turn.. Their own twist on the age old story.

She came to a halt, looking up for a moment. There was a ceiling now, they were going further down. There were crystalline structures in the walls, they were glowing enough to cover the area in lights but she could see a structure further down, a large gatehouse that the demons had built within the caverns. She placed her hands on her hips and sighed,
"Well would you look at that.. What is that charming human term...? Its time for a.. Demolition Derby?" She grinned maliciously, her eyes glowing as she turned her gaze to Mizuki, "Wanna play..?"

"It has passed the safe limit.." A young man stated grimly, he was Charon Palesman, a magician, though he often acted as communications and tactics of the BRDC squad he was sent out with,
"Commander Parker, I am not one to assume what happened, but Fox followed her mark in after they were close up.. Perhaps it was a charm demon using a seduction technique, or they managed to disable her temporarily.. but she has been in the Netherworld that gate leads to for over an hour.."

He turned in his chair and looked up at her, placing his hands on the book in his lap,
"She may well have died.. Or may be pursuing her target further.. For all we know she may also require aid.. What are your orders, ma'am?"

At Ves's statement, Mizuki's face turned a violent shade of red and she clapped both of her hands over her mouth. Uuaaaah!!! How could she say something like that?! Mock tears ran down her face and she clenched a fist. I need to stop getting s worked up over this... Thinking about it, she couldn't help but wonder why Vesper couldn't seem to keep her hands of of her. She could understand a certain amount of lust, but... She shook her head. She was too insecure.

She glanced out of the corner of her eye and saw Vesper's thoughtful look. I wonder what she's thinking...

Mizuki stopped right next to the other woman, looking around at the impressive scenery. "A Demolition Derby, huh? I wonder where you heard that." She smiled and held out a hand invitingly. "Let's."

Rosemary Antimony Parker stared at the screen, pausing in contemplation for a mere moment before replying. "Send in our elite team." Turning, she started walking away before she stopped, remembering something. Turning her head to make eye contact with Palesman she said, "Oh, and put Bard Stone as leader."

Vesper reached over, placing her palm against Mizuki's and smiled at her for a little while before rushing down the slope leading to the gate house as she gathered energy in her body. The structure was rather big and it wasn't long before a warning shout from the demons there were calling out, warning each other and getting to place in a disorderly fashion, firing down on Vesper randomly, trying to keep up with her as she ran headlong at the steel doors,
"Knock-knock!" She called as at the last moment a white and blue burst of light exploded infront of her and smashed against the heavy obstacles. The sound of her crashing through it echoed through the halls like thunder as the doors bent open like aluminum foil, one side breaking down completely and falling as she slowed down to a halt, now that the doors were open it was time to put the hurt on these lackeys...

Charon stood up, bowing to her calmly and embracing the book to his chest as he lowered his head to her once then stood straight, waiting for any additional orders, when she vanished he nodded his head again,
"As you wish, Commander, no doubt he will be eager to retrieve her." He bowed his head again and turned, leaving the command room. He eventually found his way to Bard's room, knocking on the door with a single, slender finger,
"Captain Stone, Lady Parker requires your services in the retrieval of Fox."

Mizuki gleefully let the demoness lead her down the slope, gracefully sliding down. When they reached the bottom, she let herself continue sliding until she landed lightly against Vesper's side and sliped one arm around the other's. With the other hand, she pulled out one of the guns and started shooting down the demons around them. When Vesper blew down the door, Mizuki barely had time to tuck herself more tightly into the other woman's side. She squeezed the demoness's arm, wordlessly complaining.

Firing a few more rounds behind them, Mizuki followed Vesper through the doorway.

The door slid open without a sound, revealing Bard Stone. "...How did you know to find me here?" He left the room completely, closing the door behind himself. Walking with the younger man, Bard asked, "So what has Mizuki done this time?"

"Lets split them down the middle, love." Vesper chuckled as she walked forward, looking to her left and the stairs that ledad up there, then looked tot he right, more stairs. Before then on the ground were dozens more ground soldiers but Vesper stared at them for a moment before sneering, almost as if insulted,
"Is this all they have?! A pitiful bunch of fresh demons summoned from the dark?!" She asked, seemingly quite irritable about this, "I'm an Overlord! I don't have time to be dealing with this pathetic bunch of children!"
She started out, turning left to head up the flight of stairs, if she didnt take care of these gnats they'd only be a nuisance later.

"You should not be concerned about the fact that I can find you." Charon replied, bowing his head to the Captain, "The moment I do not know where one of our members is, you should start to worry," He held up his hand for a moment a finger pointing up,
"For example, Rodrigo is currently in the Commanders room, he also has a secretary with him.. Miss Penny is in the showers, Matthias is peeking in on her and Valtier is currently at the firing range giving off-hours lessons to cadets who wish to improve their skills with firearms."
Charon stopped and looked at Bard for a moment, his brow furrowing,
"It is what she has not done that has us worried, Captain. She has entered a Netherworld and thus far has not returned, we assume either she is still pursuing her target, has been charmed by the demons he encountered and followed them in or that she is.." He stopped, looking ahead of them, ".. Dead. Needless to say she would not answer our hails before she entered so the circumstances of this situation are unknown at best.."

Mizuki couldn't stop herself from pausing, letting her arm slip from Vesper's as she started up the stairs. She was dumbfounded.

Veper's an Overlord? A dusting of pink crossed her cheeks. She must be so powerful... I'm kind of envious. Can I really live up to such a powerful soulmate's standards?

Shaking her head, she followed after Vesper, pulling a second gun off her back and shooting both guns into the crowd of demons, not really aiming, just trying to thin them out. She couldn't help but wonder why Vesper was out to kill this other Overlord, but she'd have to think about it later. Right now, the demons were starting to follow them up the steps.

Bard blinked in surprise. "I'll never know how you do that, will I? Anyway, this is very unusual. Why in the world would she venture into the Netherworlds? She's never needed to before. If she's pursuing a demon it must be very strong. Neither has she been charmed before... and I doubt she's dead. I just..." He shrugged. "I just can't imagine it. And she wouldn't have answered if she was in the middle of a fight."

They entered the control room where they met up with Rosemary. She looked at them and smiled. "When you're ready, Agent Forest. Gather your team and prepare to head out."

Vesper reached the top of the stairs quickly, beginning to take out the demons that had acted as the gatehouse defenses, she left Mizuki to deal with the wannabe's mostly because even they could not her her now-precious Mizuki. These poor things on the gate could barely even withistand her raking her fingers across their faces, and they had actually existed longer than the ones down there, Mizuki would no doubt tear them to pieces.
Once she'd reached the center of the gate she raised her right hand with a flourish, an explosion of light being followed by her punching the ground beneath ehr feet, causing the wall to crumble below her, however she stayed floating int he air, a static orb of lightning growing out from her and beginning to shred the stone and grit apart, hailing it down on the younger demons in aid of Mizukit until the two halfves of the wall had been crushed against the cavers sides and Vesper floated tot he ground, folding her arms as she observed Mizuki in action.

"Only if you do not ask, Captain. You have enver done so before, I did not inquire as to your lack of curiosity then, nor do I deny you asking should you want, the how is never as important as the why and the what that serves." He replied, yes Charon was known for this strange philosophical approach to life he had, and sometimes he could take a sentence, twist it around until it said exactly what he said and exactly how he meant to say it without actually saying it. He had even baffled Rosemary until he explained it directly, an unfortunate trait of being raised as a magician and the son of a philosopher and theorist,
"Based on your answers to the possibilities, I believe it would be prudent to send you to make sure you are correct, you know her well enough that you would be able to predict her movements or actions if they have not been altered in some way or form." He added, following him into the command center and bowing his head to Rosemary, though looked aside to Forest,
"I will also be joining you. A venture into the Netherworlds should never be done without a competent mage on hand, as such I have been appointed the name Glass for such occasions."

Mizuki tried her best to ignore the loud noises Vesper was making, but it was really starting to get on her nerves. She didn't do well with loud... ness... her ears were beginning to ache. She sighed and took her frustration out on the demons, either shooting them with the gun in her left hand or slashing them with the sword in her right.

Do these things ever end?!

Mizuki growled angrily, scaring off some of the weaker demons. Just then, after feeling Vesper's eyes locked onto her, she sped up. Slicing and shooting, she finished off the last 20 or so demons in seconds. Standing there, feet shoulder-width apart and shoulders back, she panted, trying to regain her lost breath.

I haven't been this active in a while. I hope I can last. We don't normally get really strong demons or large masses of any level demon back at... Mizuki stood rigid. If I know Rosemary, and I do, she will send a team after me if she hasn't already. I can only assume that... Bard... will lead and he'll... see me... with Vesper... This is one hell of a way to break it off with your boyfriend, Mizuki. She softly knocked her hand against her head, both as a reprimand and an attempt to get back on track. Right. For now, all I have to worry about is this Overlord we're after. I'll... deal with all of that later.

"Alright. Welcome to the team, Agent Glass." Bard gave the shorter agent a hearty pat on the back. "I hope you'll be able to lead us to our resident wily fox." He turned to Rosemary who was looking at them in amusement, "I will also take agents Clay, Pepper, and Mild."

"Of course."

Vesper walked calmly over to Mizuki, placing her hand against the small of her bewfound lover's back, kissing the side of her face once as she walked, continuing on past her, beyond the gate as another bend in what was now a tunnel took them left again, however she caught glimpses of light coming from further down, an ember orange glow. The demoness carried on forward quite confidently, a smirk was plastered on her face as she looked over her shoulder,
"No doubt this fool will try dirty tactics of some kind.. Be ready," she winked at Mizuki, "Do me proud, those holy bullets of yours will come in handy against any demonic entity in this place," Vesper smirked, looking forward again and placing a hand on her hip as she walked. The further she went the more obvious the next area became.

It was alarge fortress, a demons castle underground. blackened walls with towering, claw like spires, where waterfalls should have been, instead lava flowed freely in a long stream down the sides of the demon palace, , the walls of the giant chamber seemed to consist of thousands of unmoving sculptures, humanoids, demons, all reaching toward the palace itself, anguished faces easily definable by the screaming the once made.
In the air above the palace itself, several lumps of rock could be seen orbiting around freely, these too consisting of liquids of the defeated, the imprisoned. So he had concentrated all his power into one place in hopes of having enough power to defeat her here.. These sculptures of this world would normally be scattered far and wide across the Netherworld, yet she hadn't seen one point of power anywhere until now, no wonder his outside forces were so weak..
As for Vesper.. Her places of power were different, so was her Netherworld.
She turned her head to look at Mizuki for a moment with a smile, wondering if she had noticed yet. With each touch and kiss she'd given Mizuki she had been giving of herself, little bits at a time, until she'd formed a link, a mana chain to Mizuki, slowly, softly, feeding her mana, coating her in it as a defense, with each moment that went by she would get subtly stronger until she realized she was more powerful.
The demoness smiled to herself, making her way to the drawbridge that sat before the castle entrance itself,
"Ready Mizuki?"

"Get me in the same netherworld and I will do the rest." Charon bowed to him politely, upon his mention of the other members, Charon turned around immediately, "I will retrieve and send them to the ready room," the magician added, keeping his book close as he marched off into the other sections of the building hunting down said team members and following the last one. It was from the ready room that they would launch missions that required a full squad. Charon stared at the other three rather curiously, he hadn't been on many away missions, no doubt these field agents weren't too sure of him either, he was trying to remember their specialties.

Mizuki smiled at the little kiss and followed Vesper past the gate. Glancing around at the scenery, she almost missed it when Vesper warned her about the tricks. She was, however, paying attention when she was told to do her proud. She smlied brightly and nodded.

Nearing the fortress, Mizuki's eyes widened a bit. "I simply must get the name of his decorator," she spoke, sarcastically. The aura of absolute anguish was making her sick. While she had no idea why someon would decorate a place this way, she was starting to think she didn't want to kow as she glanced down into a nearby crack and jumped as she saw an ugly creature speed out of the crack, almost hitting her, before floating towards the palace... thing.

Seeing Vesper smile, one of the questions that had been plaguing Mizuki for a while came back up. Those touches... I know that they are meant as affectionate or... she blushed. ...otherwise... But I have a feeling that they're doing something more... That they mean something more... But I'm probably imagining things. Her attention was then drawn back to Vesper.

Drawing her own gun, but keeping one of the demon guns on her back, she loaded a full magazine into in and checked to see how many other full ones she had left. Nodding, she turned her attention back to the other. "Let's go."

The group of five walked briskly into the ready room. "I looks like we're all here." Bard spoke up, straping his AR-15 rifle to his back. "Pepper, stop that!" He yelled at Agent Pepper who had stolen Agent Clay's buster sword and was running away from him. How can she even hold it?

Agent Pepper, whose real name was Amanda Forewood, was a tall, thin girl with short brown-blonde hair pulled back into two tiny ponytails. Her green eyes were lively and she carried two uzis at her side. She had no obvious muscle to speak of, so it wasn't really known how she could pick up let alone run around holding such a large sword. Agent Clay, or Garret Lee, was a very strong man at an average height. He was running after a hyper Amanda, trying to get his sword back, but she was much quicker and he eventually stopped, out of breath. His red hair was in disarray and his brown eyes were annoyed.

Bard sighed. Why are so many of the people here so weird?

Vesper looked aside to Mizuki with a smile before beginning down the long drawbridge at a run, this would be a sweet victory. She had always enjoyed a little vengeance, but wth Mizuki here it felt almost glorified. She looked up at the walls slowly passing them, the castle walls were strangely empty, she supposed he was consoling the last of his forces in the main rooms leading to his throne.
Vesper finally came to a stop in front of the great doors leading into the fortress itself. They looked huge, much too large to move physically, yet with a single thrust of her palms, Vesper forced them opened, the two giant doors slamming open and breaking apart at the very force of her palms.

Before them in the first main chamber were several demons, over a dozen much more powerful than the easier brethren they had just destroyed moments ago. The demoness stared them down, an assortment of warriors, archers and mages, all prepared to fight and die for their overlord.
Oh the dying they would do. Vesper would make sure of that.

Glass kept away from the antics of the others, staying in one corner privately as he watched the female toy with the one to whom the blade belonged. Though his attention turned then to the one known as Mild. the hulking mammoth of a man who barely fitted onto one seat alone, with his massive, muscular arms and huge hands he seemed more like an abomination or a freak of nature.
Mild looked up at Forest once he told Pepper to behave, one the pass where Clay finally tired out he reached forward and grabbed the heavy sword in hand, closing his grasp around it tightly so Pepper couldn't run away with it. Although he was quiet, his actions were loud enough to speak for themselves.

He yanked the weapon from her hands, not concerned for his own safety, mostly because his flesh was so thick that it could not be damaged so casually. He turned the weapon over, offering it to Clay as he kept two dark eyes on Pepper.
The newest member, Charon, watched this motion quietly, that man was certainly a quiet one, however he turned thent o Forest, bowing to him lightly,
"We should brief them on the matter at hand."

Mizuki was slightly stunned by the smile, not realizing Vesper had started off towards the castle aready. Cursing, she started running after her, doubting she would be able to catch up. But before she realized it, she had caught up to Vesper in mere seconds. She was greatly shocked, but she didn't stop this time, merely thought on the run. This can't be right! I've never run this fast in my life! It couldn't be... the mana? Perhaps it's the mana I've absorbed, but... She spared a glance in Vesper's direction before looking ahead to where they were going once again. I have a feeling it's got something to do with Vesper...

When they stopped at the door, Mizuki hid behind Vesper, just incase she decided to go Midevil on the doors. She didn't, however, so she moved out from behind her a bit. She felt her body shiver with anticipation. That was another thing she noticed. I've never had this much stamina before! How am I still so alert and alive after hours of battle? Actually, how long have we been at this? While she tried to figure that out, she missed the look Vesper gave to the demons inside. In fact, she wasn't really paying attention at all and didn't even notice that the doors had opened all the way, revealing the assortment of demons and the overlord.

Agent Forest (Bard) stared at Glass, observing his reactions to his team's antics. After all, if he was easily annoyed by them, the mission wasn't going to go very well. Luckily, he didn't really seem annoyed, only... interested, if that was the right word. He looked back to his team and almost laughed when Mild took the sword from Pepper. She whined pitifully and pouted, looking like a child whose candy was stolen. Clay sighed once the sword was back in his grasp and thanked Mild. He used his sword to hit Pepper lightly on the head in a reprimanding gesture. I'll never understand how she became Mizuki's best friend. He was pulled out of his thoughts when Glass spoke up. Nodding in agreement, he lifted his fingers to his mouth and let out a whistle. Agents Clay and Pepper immediatly stopped their mock fight and walked over to him, standing alert and attentive. He smiled, thinking to himself how good it was that they were responsible when it mattered.

"Glass, would you mind briefing all of us? You have all of the information, while I only have some."

The guffawing laughter of the Overlord that Vesper had been hunting could be heard from all the way down the great hall, though in the shadows what light could be seen was only shining off a muscular form in the shadows, two dark eyes glowing across the hall. In his very presence a dark aura had spread down the halls, a dark pulsating hatred for the most part, the very essence of something that enjoyed killing.
But even as he emanated his aura Vesper began to chuckle, her light humor slowly extending to laughter that clearly rung through the halls all the way down to the demon they were to be facing, his aura had begun to withdraw, the dark feeling withdrawing and Vesper could feel what replaced it. At her confident entrance all she could sense was..
"Fear.." Vesper stated as her entrance, smirking rather amusedly, "You did all this just for me..? Because you were afraid I would be here..? Are you even surprised? You even got humans involved.."
"Be quiet Vesper! You're in my-"
"SHUT UP!!" Vesper stamped once. The very castle shaking around them, true enough the other demon fell silent, feeling in return the power before him and he cowered even more, "I wont have any of your sniveling.. I'm going to tear you limb from limb." Vesper said the last bit with a personal sense of glee, though then looked over her shoulder,
"Mizuki.." She turned her head a little and smirked at the nearby demon guards, "These guards are an eyesore.. Care to pretty them up?"

"I assure you, my report on the matter was quite complete." Glass replied, "Anything else was simply sheer speculation.." He went to the main board bringing up an image of the map from the towns edge to the location of the portal, light trails appearing on it, created by his magics as he marked out a trail to a certain point by the portal itself.
"A few hours ago we received transmissions form one of our agents, he had encountered a number of demons, including one highly powerful unknown. To my recollection the BRDC has taken on many levels of demon, ranging from Grad F minors to Grade A commanders. This target, however, was something higher. Possibly Grade S, a Vassal, perhaps.. Otherwise a Grade SS, an Overlord. Now we've never had to deal with an Overlord because they spend their time fighting int he netherworld, ignoring the human world as insignificant. Vassals are no different, except that they fall under the direct rule of the Overlord that they are a Vassal of," Glass explained quickly and calmly, then pointing out a second trail that had chased down the location of the high grade demon,
"Agent Fox crossed the plains and encountered this being on her own, however for some reason it may or may not have retreated into the portal, perhaps it saw Fox as no threat, but for whatever reason it left, unfortunately Agent Fox followed it into the portal afterward. Now her status is unknown as of less than an hour ago, she has not reported in, and she has not emerged from the portal. As such I would think the purpose of this team may be obvious-" Glass began the next sentence but Mild spoke suddenly in the deep baritone that was his voice, it had been enough to frighten demons when he spoke let alone roared,
"Locate and retrieve Agent Fox, secondarily find more information pertaining to the subject that she followed into the portal, take no risks, return if in danger."
Glass stared at the large man for a moment then nodded,
"Correct. I will also be joining you as my magic capabilities will be required to access the portal and sense the location of Fox on the other side."

Mizuki flinched ever so slightly as the dark aura passed over them. When Vesper started laughing for some odd reason, she could feel the aura pull back. Perhaps the demon was scared of Vesper? Well, she did say she was an overlord... While the laugh was slightly maniacal, it echoed plesantly in Mizuki's ears. She delighted in the sound of her soulmate's laughter and all she could hope for was a chance to hear that beautiful sound again.

When Vesper started to yell, a shudder of excitement crawled down Mizuki's spine. So powerful... Even other overlords cower before her... She giggled lightly. Yet somehow I ca't bring myself to pity the poor fool. Mizuki's attention was caught once again by Vesper and she looked up, making eye contact with the other female. Giving her a bright smile, she stepped forward to give Vesper a peck on the lips. With a small laugh, she said, "I'd love to give them all a make over."

Mizuki stood a few steps in front of Vesper and she pulled out her gun. Taking a deep breath, she temporarily ignored the demons coming at her and focused solely on the weapon in her hand. She had been thinking about how the demons used mana in their weapons, and she was going to try focusing a little bit of mana into her own gun, hoping it could withstand it. he imagined a thread of mana coming from her body into her gun. She felt it warm in her hands, indicating that it worked. Taking a deep breath, she snapped her eyes open and lifted the gun, firing a shot into the middle of the crowd of demons. The bullet flew fromthe barrel, followed by a blast of mana. The mana surrounded the bullet, seemingly increasing its power. The blast hit a demon and the shockwave of the mana and the bullet spread the bullet's cleansing effect farther than Mizuki thought possible. All of the demons within a 5-foot radius dissinegrated immediately.

Mizuki's lips curled into a smirk. "Now that's what I'm talking about!" Gleefully, she fired off another couple of shots, killing all the demons in the room besides the two overlords.

Bard nodded as Glass went over the mission and didn't even blink when Mild interrupted. Pepper, however, affectionately scolded him. "Mi~ld! Just because he said it was obvious doesn't mean he wanted to interrupt!" She pouted and poked him in the arm.

"I don't think it matters, Pepper." Agent Clay spoke up, leaning on his zanbato.

"Anyway..." Bard inturrupted before the conversation could get any farther off topic. "Thank you for the briefing, Glass. Now that that's over with, I suggest we get a move on. Who knows what's happening to Mizuki now?"

Pepper smiled, "I wouldn't worry too much. I have a feeling she's fine, wherever she is. So trust in your girlfriend. She's strong." She winked playfully at Bard who sighed and nodded, hesitantly agreeing. "Then let's head out!" She dramatically pointed a finger towards the exit before skipping off to it. Clay rolled his eyes while strapping his blade onto his back. Bard... Agent Forest... laughed and made sure his rifle was secure before looking at Glass with an expression that said "Ready?" before he turned and followed the rest of the team to the exit doors.

Vesper watch quietly as Mizuki worked her way through the demons, even using mana as she was doing only impressed the Demoness further, she was so impressed that she started clapping as Mizuki finished the last one, though the sound of her clapping stopped. At the same moment the demon on the throne had leaped out into the open.
The demon in question was a large, muscular minotaur, wielding a great golden axe, large enough to cleave through several humans in a line and still not be done going through the first one. This weapon was raised in the air as he roared furiously, bringing it down in Mizuki's direction.

Vesper reappeared between Mizuki and the demon, raising her left arm calmly so that the axe impacted against the flesh and dug in surprisingly well, but once it hit bone it stopped completely. Blood poured slowly out of either end of the wound, but she barely reacted, not even complaining about the pain. Not that she even registered pain,
"Whats the matter, Grugov? You'd rather go for some-one who cant defend themselves against you? Killing her wouldn't have given you enough power to defeat me.. Even concentrating the power of your entire Netherworld here has done nothing for you!" She laughed in his face, the demon howling in rage as he ripped the weapon out of her arm and grasped her in a huge paw.
Vesper didn't even seem bothered as he threw her into the far wall, chasing after her to barge himself against her and caused the wall to almost completely break. As he backed away from the impact crater on the wall, Vesper landed ont he ground, calmly brushing herself off, the wound on her arm regenerating until it was fully healed over,
"DAMN YOU!!" The beast yelled, but then chuckled, "You're too easy!"
The wall behind her burst suddenly, a number of chains wrapping themselves around Vesper and binding her before slamming her against the wall again. Lightning shot around her as energy coursed around her, causing Vesper to scream,
"Well would you look at that.. Even Vesper! The Great Queen of Genocide! Cant resist Demon Capture Chains.." He mocked, chuckling deeply as he turned to look at Mizuki, "Your turn.." He pointed his hand at her and snapped his fingers, but nothing happened, the demon grunted with confusion and snapped his fingers again, "Why.. Why isn't this working?!"
Vesper laughed suddenly, having managed to get used to the pain of the chains holding her down,
"Sh-She's not.. A demon..!!"
"What?!" The demon turned his head to look at Vesper again, though, realizing his mistake of distracting himself, looked back.

"Pepper.. You complain that I do not talk often enough.. Now you complain when I speak.. Make up your mind," Mild responded, standing up to his full height, towering well over the other people in the room. How he even managed to get through doorways was unknown but he still somehow did it.
Glass bowed his head to Forest but waited patiently for everyone to leave, including Mild who slipped out of the doorway with relative ease, he'd grown accustomed to moving in small quarters somehow. The magician followed after, rather fascinated by this assortment of odd people, not that he couldn't claim to not be odd himself, he kept pace with the giant, but kept his gaze on Forest, at least the man was relatively optimistic about the situation.
Charon, on the other hand, had a bad feeling about this..

Mizuki couldn't help but grin as the last demon disappeared; her love's clapping being a wonderful music to her ears. Proudly, she turned to look at Vesper, flashing a big smile which turned into a look of innocent confusion when the other stopped clapping, looking at something over Mizuki's shoulder. The silence that had encased the room was suddenly broken by a bestial roar that cut through the human, making her stiffen and turn to face the coming threat. She realized she wouldn't be able to block and anger flared in her eyes. What sort of coward attacks an enemy from behind?!

Having had closed her eyes, Mizuki was shocked to realize that she had turned around all the way. Opening her eyes, she was greeted with the sight of her soul mate’s arm, bleeding from where an axe was embedded in her arm. Horror and a desperate fear for her love consumed her before tempering back at the strong words coming from Vesper. She gasped and the panic rose again as she saw the minotaur-Grugov he had been named-grab Vesper and throw her into a wall. Then, as if following a pattern, she calmed a bit again when the woman merely brushed herself off.

I'm starting to fear more for more heart. I'm not sure how much more of this I can take!! Though she was calmer, she could feel an iron fist of dread still grip her heart. Something was wrong.

Then she saw the chains grab Vesper. Then she saw the electricity flow down the chains and actually harm her lover.

She was overcome with a rage she had never felt before in her life.

Mizuki felt the anger and pure adrenalin coursing through her. He eyes began to glow unnaturally, lighting the indigo fire of her eyes. Her body coiled and she saw the fool Minotaur try to trap her in the same binds of her mate. Grinding her teeth, she smiled viciously as the beast turned away from her. Using strength she didn't know she had, she leapt thrice as high as she ever could before, drawing her sword mid-air and bringing herself down onto the Minotaur who had turned just in time to look at her before he lost his eyes with a vicious slash of Mizuki's katana. His blood splattered against her face, but she didn't bother to wipe it off. She landed began an impossible series of attacks that she had used to fell many demons, but now she was filled with enough power that the mighty Minotaur didn't stand a chance as she brought her sword down one last time.

Pepper pouted, walking next to Mild. "You know what I mean, Mild. Anyway..." She turned around, simultaneously pulling a map out of God-knows-where and unfurling it for them. "Mizzie was last seen closest to my area of control. It's not too far, considering how many shortcuts I know, it'll take us about 17 minutes to get there. Do not..." She looked pointedly at Clay, "Do not wander away from me." Once she had seen everyone nod an affirmative and Clay's rolling of his eyes, she spun on her heel, tucking the map back into God-knows-where. "Off we go, then!" She smiled cheerfully, skipping off in one direction. Please be safe, Mizuki!

Bard was a smart man. Many people had told him so and he had proved it in many ways. It did not escape his notice, the way that Charon was acting. He had talked with agents who had worked previously with Agent Glass and had one thing he had always been told. He had been told about the man's abilities from his files, but they told him that there was something else... Glass had an uncanny ability to know what is going on. So if he is uneasy, something is wrong.

He could only hope that it was nothing major.
