Oh, it's called Silent Sleigh and it's for KODA, Hearing Impared and Deaf children to come and do Christmas crafts and visit with Santa, who signs. :) We'll be wrapping up gifts and helping the kids make bookmarks. :)

Hope: That's actually really cool. Not much like that around here. Just fund raising and stuff.

Steve: Yeah, I'm excited to be going. ^-^ I'm going to help the Sign Club out - and we might be doing a few signed songs as well. ^-^

This guy I live with, Joel, has had this on-again-off-again relationship with this guy named Will. Will is afraid of commitment, Joel is horrible smitten. And aside from being REALLY good in the sack, there's nothing particularly endearing about Will.

Welll.... Will got his car taken away from him because he couldn't afford the payments... because he lost his job. Annnnd then he lost his apartment because he couldn't find another job in the three months that the landlord gave him to make a down payment towards paying off debts. Annnnnd now Will is living with us.

Now... here's where all the money that Will did have went: pot and REALLY bad gin. Like... you know at the liquor store they have bottom shelf bulk size stuff that just says "GIN" in big black letters so you know what it is? That. He doesn't eat. He just drinks and smokes pot all day, and then wonders where all the money went. And the reason why Joel broke up with him in the first place is because Will wouldn't let go of his ex. And after SO MUCH advice from me, the other roommates, several tarot readings, and punching a wall in anger, he broke up with him. And we were all joy.

Well, now Will is living with us. And a few hours ago, Joel comes out, close to tears about something Will did or said, and then goes back into his room to yell at him about it. And then an hour later?

... comes back to tell us that they've gotten together again.

HE IS STUPID AND IT CONFOUNDS ME.

...Even I don't get that. And I don't know the first thing about romance.

Dude, this isn't romance. This is "I'm a stupid 19-year-old boy who doesn't understand that love ain't a one-way-ticket." >>

Wow... And they say we're the emotion ruled gender?

From gay to straight, jock to nerd, spoiled rich kid to hard knock poor guy, every guy I have ever known has been one giant volatile ball of conflicting emotions. The ones that express it, like your friend seems to, are just wishy washy and all over the place clinging to anything that feels like someone returning their emotional outburst, be it positively or negatively. The ones that bottle it up brood on and on in silence until something happens that either tips them over the edge or forces them to come blurting everything out. And in the end, no matter the outcome, they always seem to regret it and change their mind.

Maybe he has a hero complex, thinks he can save him if he just keeps pushing. Not saying it's a good thing. I've been there, it's about as self destructive as you can get without deliberately trying to ruin yourself. But it sounds like that might be it.


No offence to any guys who might be reading this. Just my personal observation

He does both: bottles it up AND expresses it. It depends on the company he's with and who the stress is about. When its about his sister or he's with his family, he's like... repress repress repress. And if its about Will, he'll express it to me, but not Will... and I don't take sides in arguments like these, so if I'm talking to Will I don't bring up his freaking mind games. I mean.. I AM taking sides, but I was already pretty pissed at Will before we officially met (when he moved in. >>)

I think he just lies to himself that he's happy. Because he knows that he should be because he's getting laid.

My official diagnosis is that he's a 19-year-old drama queen. ><

I'm trying to weed out the drama queens in my life. Which is why I'm glad Jason moved out. =D
