Seriously. Walmart is just a rumor-mill. Everyone keeps speculating about my 'dangerous past' and 'she must have done something REALLY wrong to have to work here...' And I'm all no. Seriously. The only reason I work at Walmart is because there's no art market here. I am poor, I am desperate, and there is no job market at all for someone who has a college education but no work experience.

UGH!!!!! THAT WAS TOTALLY A TRAP! The dude just somehow bugged me and stole all my gold! Not joking at all! I tried to send him a pm asking him not to do it again cause he's hit every thread I'm part of. As soon as I sent it (and it was definitely a pm not a donation) ALL my gold was gone! I just sent a message to a few of the moderators I've talked to before about it. Wow. wtf?

Haha, I hope they actually press charges. Apparently you can get fined up to 250,000 just for "harmless" phishing to get someones password and such for spam purposes.

I can believe it happening on Gaia. Its so big and it takes forever for something to process... People used to try to get me to give them my password all the time. Some were creative: "This is an automated message from the Gaia Administrative Society: your account has been compromised (...) we will require your account name and password to promote further action."

Some were not.

Ahh! I totally just figured out how it got mine!

Im at work right now, and since I work alone at night I'm an admin on our computers. Admins get access to a program we have called servius or something like that. It runs in the background on your web browser and auto logs you for sights that have your password stored (because we run about 6 different web sites for all of our various constant functions for the desk, most of them are through online programs.) I'll bet you it auto logged me when I was delivering receipts. If the screen refreshed for any reason and that was the first thing to pop up and I wasn't here to cancel it, it probably would have just gone through after it timed down. DAMNIT! Wow... well, that's my fault for forgetting to turn it off after closeout. Man I feel stupid now.

That would explain it. Well, he's been banned now and I gave him a rather nasty message on his profile. I feel we accomplished something tonight.

I decided to make it into a fun game, and had it going on for about three hours. Eventually, I assured her that her need for material, albeit fictional, possessions stemmed from a history of needing affirmation of affection from a parent or sibling and that she should reconcile her issues with the family member in question. I suppose. I'm kind of a sadist in that I like to make people feel stupid, but only when I know for certain that we don't communicate on the same level. And that's not just me being conceited. I mean... flat-out, lab-tested "I am SO much smarter than you that it hurts me to talk to you on your level."

Its fun on the internet, but it doesn't translate as easily in the real world, sadly. I can't really do it at work (I work at Walmart. Quality education put to work, eh?) because it will end in me getting punched in the face, though you can tell that I'm HORRIBLY resented by my co-workers. Keith keeps trying to find new and interesting ways to report me as a danger to the well-being of others because I can come off as serial-killer-ish.

Miriu: I know how that is, on both accounts. I was in-between jobs a few months ago. I got laid off as a tech support advisor. I had an anxiety attack while on the floor and the Company decided it would be best if, instead of me seeking counseling for the disorder... to just fire me and further drive it into my head that I'm worthless. On the second part of that: There are maybe four backroom associates out of seven that do any of the work, and about three out of twenty instock that aren't lazy. Its like... geez... no wonder we have a bad name.

I'm the same way. I'm a little slow at times because I've got my mind on other things. And then I run into a wall or something. This is why us blondes have a bad name. xD

I'm serial-killer-ish, I suppose, because I'm too smart for my job description, I'm generally a business-minded, and because I have the occasional anxiety attack on days when I'm reminded that I COULD be working here for the rest of my life... and then I realize that I have money in my savings solely to fund me getting out of here.

I come off as a little creepy, sometimes. But I also write a comic book about cannibals. You know... my college friends were SO much more tolerant of that...
