Byron immediately gave up her next attempt to move back as soon as she saw her friend's signal. She wondered what this was all about. But she needn't have waited long before she noticed something move behind the storyteller. In the blink of an eye Abel was down. Gasps of shock naturally echoed through the audience and Byron, too, was taken aback by it. Knox didn't fare any better and was once more taking a defensive position behind the girl's head.

Curiously, the child simultaneously found the sneak attack to be funny as most kids knew mischief would. Quickly stifling an inappropriate laugh before it became audible, the girl in purple stepped aside to let the hurrying people help the fallen man. However, Abel assured his worried fans that no damage was done save for the obvious gash in his coat. Then he turned to Byron once again. To answer his concern, the girl shook her head quickly. "No. I'm fine sir.", she added with a small, nervous smile.

Then Rayeth's anguished cry instantly pulled the youth's attention to him once more. Troubled by his weakened stance, she asked in a more quiet voice, "Is..is he going to be alright?"

Abel was silent for a moment. His gaze was calculating as he slowly responded. "The dragon will . . . learn," he said quietly. Reaching forward, he pressed a gloved hand to her shoulder. "He will learn as you will. A serpent's words are never to be trusted. This creature would do anything to be free . . . even if it meant sacrificing you to get to me." He dismissed her questioning of Rayeth's well-being - it really didn't matter anyway.

As the tall man stood tall once again, he pulled his coat off. The slash from the dragon's tail had drawn blood - but he wasn't wounded. Much to Rayeth's dismay the man had used the heart-stone to heal - again. Abel smiled and thanked a few of the worried crowd members (most of which were female, which was unsurprising). The Zealot moved to stand a few inches from the silver cage.
Many moments passed as Abel met Rayeth's gaze with his own. The Zealot was showing that this stunt hadn't diminished his own dominion - no fear so much as hinted at entering his expression. With his wings folded tightly, Rayeth found himself standing as a human once again. You should get your bloody hand off the stone, coward. Abel didn't respond to his threatening glare, but instead turned to the audience once again. It looked as though he'd won the battle of wills.

As Abel began to speak softly, drawing the crowd in close once again, Rayeth shook his head. Of course. He always used things like this to his advantage. The blond sat down quietly, listening to his "master" weave a tale that brought everyone's mind away from fear. All the while his gaze lingered on Byron. The girl had almost laughed when Abel had been struck. The thought brought a smile to Rayeth's face.
Perhaps I can use your help, girl. He would need her when Abel wasn't looking . . . perhaps that night.

Let's see: we have Rayeth the dragon, captured by Abel (who is the leader of the Zealots). Abel is spreading lies about dragons being evil creatures.

Tweak is . . . well, I think I dropped her. :sweat: She's a Zealot, though.

My dragon is currently with Jake's dragon at the human lord's estate. They were recently bothered by someone, though I don't quite recall what's happening yet (I have yet to read back!).

Byron is there with Rayeth and Abel, causing a general bit of commotion. Seems like the dragon might have a little friend. ;)

Granted, I haven't read anything yet. But isn't this basically what's happening?))

Okay, so we have Jake and Aesh - they will leave the house they're at and head toward town. That is the perfect time to either meet new Zealots or dragons, or even Outlaws.

Seer is still in town, though I'm thinking of having something happen with Abel.

Abel is still being loud and talking, and that's where Rayeth and Byron are. So . . . it's easy to bump into dragon sympathizers who want to free the captured dragon. :yes: Or, worse yet, the Zealots who are doubtlessly hanging around their leader.

Hmmm. Any ideas that you guys think would be cool to add? :3
