((Hmmm. I would like to stay in the same thread . . . but it might be easier to get people to join if it looks like a new rp. It's cleaner, and has less cluttery stuff. I can always post the link to the original rp on the front page. But . . . then again . . . keeping it all together sounds nice. :/
Hmm. LOL!!! I don't know! Do you have anyone you'd like to invite to the rp, you guys?
And . . . yes. :squee: All the fan girls would just swoon throughout the streets. Besides . . . :ninja: I imagine his silver-tongued voice to be reaaaally sexy. LOL))
[I'm sorry for not remembering if it was always like this, but I just realized that this thread is in the private/1x1 roleplays section  Are we going to keep it here or will we move it to the open rp area? =3 It might help get more people in here, although I wouldn't mind leaving the thread in private/1x1 if that's less of a hassle ]
[[Hi. I had been discussing with Esmme about joining and already ran the skeletones by her.
Editing: She is posting at beginning.
I will not be introducing the dragons for a while, because they are either buried or off doing mischief--mine are banished dragons, so not really good. The zealots I can bring up quickly, though, just by reporting to the boss man.]]

((*purrs* Alright! I am actually going to ask that you take the character sheets out of your post. ;) I'll stick them in the first post, so they're easy to find!!
Banished dragons: sounds so cool!! :eager: Hence, the Outlaws will be so confused!! *runs off to post your profiles on the main page*
@Minty: thanks for the offer! Honestly, I just don't know where to start. :/
Other than looking at the updates, everyone is still sorta at the same place. I just feel sorry for See'r. . . . Alchemy is no longer in the rp, so I think . . . we'll have to send her away.))
I'm here because Minty mentioned the RP and all that lovely stuff. So I thought I'd try it out. XD I am working on a profile right now and actually if I mention my character-in-progress here Minty will probably flip out.
((*le gasp* So many impending evil people! :squee: This makes for lots of chaos and confrontation! Es likes this. :ninja: Good to have you with us, Kri and April! Now we have two new people in the thread!! :eager:
Es really needs to post to get everyone moving. . . .))
((Alright, so I've been saying it for weeks. I'm actually going to post to get us moving, now!! :XD
Two weeks have passed since any of our characters interacted. ;) So . . . time skip!))
Aesh lifted her gaze from the book she'd been reading. One of the children that lived with the servants came running into the garden, crying about a skinned knee. The woman smiled slightly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. It had been long merely the day before, but she'd cut it. It was a symbolic gesture: she was starting over. This was her life; Da Vinci's estate was where she had found her home.
As she gently crooned to the child, Aesh patched up his knee. The thought brought Jake to mind: the other dragon had been staying in a room that Da Vinci had graciously allowed him to use. Honestly, they'd fallen into a restful lifestyle. It had been nearly a month since they came to the grounds in the first place.
Her dark brown eyes moved to the window where she knew Jake's room to be. Aesh was sitting in the garden, and she had been reading peacefully until the little boy interrupted. Perhaps she should speak with Jake. Surely he was enjoying his time here, but . . . was he truly happy?
Sending the boy running off to play again, Aesh stood and brushed the dirt from her dark red skirt. In no time at all she was climbing the stairs to the wing with many empty rooms. By the time she got to Jake's room, she was smiling. Knocking at the door softly, she waited for his reply.

See'r rested a hand on Alchemy's sleeping form. The girl had been so angry with him for wandering off that he hadn't done it since. See'r's blind eyes closed, and he reached up to retie the strip of fabric over them. Still . . . he was restless. His feelings for Alchemy had grown since they came to the city and separated from the Outlaw encampment. He wasn't quite sure what to think of it all.
Gently getting out of bed so as not to wake the blonde, See'r stepped toward the door. I shouldn't. Last time he went on a walk, he'd been attacked. The wound had healed nicely, but . . . still. His hand went to his side at the thought. Perhaps . . . he should just stay in the lower level of the inn. That would appease Alchemy, and it would also give See'r some time to think.
The blind youth smiled a bit as he stepped into the hallway. She'll look for me when she awakens. See'r headed down to the counter at the front of the inn, requesting a bit of cider. It had been his favorite drink back in the Outlaw camp, but they'd never had much of it due to their trading routes. The hidden group didn't want anyone to know where they were.
Sitting alone at the counter, See'r shook silver hair from his face.

Rayeth had been using his time to think. Byron had laughed at Abel's misfortune. The day when the dragon struck out at the Zealot, the girl had found it amusing. Perhaps she was against the Zealots? If so, she could be of use.
Shifting forms in his silver cage, the blond looked out at the dirt floor longingly. He'd been stuck behind the cold metal for weeks. Sure, he was let out occasionally . . . but it was a complete disgrace to be held like an animal. The stone around Abel's neck kept him . . . tame. With a sigh, the human-looking male brushed some dust from his loose pants. It was the only thing he owned that he could call his. Clothing. And it wasn't even a full set of it.
With a sigh, the dragon's blue eyes scanned over the crates and supplies around him. Rayeth's cage was kept under the stage where Abel gave his presentations. It was a lonely place, for despite the activity he could hear in the city around him, the dragon could see none of it. He wished it were different - he'd do nearly anything to be free of the Zealot and his twisted lies.
He couldn't touch the bars, so Rayeth shifted to lie down carefully. His skin was marked by many scars - all because he'd touched the silver too many times. The white dragon was marked in both human and reptilian forms . . . and he hated Abel because of it. Oh, how he longed to stretch his wings - to be free!
Longingly looking at the top of his cage, Rayeth sighed loudly. Wishful thinking wasn't enough to change his life.
-
((I will bring Abel back into this soon. It is assumed that he is somewhere in the city . . . most likely near his own "pet." He isn't far from Rayeth. I'll have him introduced again soon!))
((I will have to give a great thought into the evil character XD))
Jake sat in the room he had been staying in looking out to the sky. The male sighed a little as he watched the clouds slowly drifting along the blue campus above the world, it reminded him of all the days he had been in the household in which he had been staying in due to his close friend, Aesh. He liked the area, the children always seemed to be cheerful, the adults all got along well and he knew why Aesh liked it here. Though he felt like he never had belonged there, he tried not to show it because he didn't want to worry Aesh with it.
Jake sighed again as he continued to look to the sky as if he was trying to find something or someone. "Do I really belong with these kind people? At first I felt at home... But now..." With one last sigh, he slumped backwards onto the bed with one last sigh. "... I wont let it bother me. I enjoy it here... It is way more cheerful then my home village." He thought to himself before hearing a knock on the door. He sat up quickly and stood up smiling a little before replying to the knock with a. "Come in."
(( :squee:Minty, Jake I missed you guys soooooooooooooo much. oh it's Amaya BTW.:poke: miss me?))
Alchemy sifted over in her sleep, the feeling the once again the bed was far to big and cold dragging her out of the half sleep she was in. Their time in town was coming to an end and she had a self appointed mission to complete before they sailed off. Blinking open tired red eyes the young woman sat up looking around to make sure that See'r had once again left the room. A sigh of relief slipped passed her lips when she was greeted with the sight of an empty room. not that she wasn't irritated that he once again went off on his own but it did make this easier for her.He wouldn't have let her go walking around at night by herself and there was no chance of her telling him what he really had planed.
Kicking off the sheets she slipped out of bed wrapping her braided hair into a bun while she moved over towards the dresser that held her cloths. She had set out a particular set of dark trousers and a black shirt out for this very occasion. Once she was fully dressed she stuck one of See'r's spare daggers into the top of her boot and hooked her whip onto her hip and well as her own small sword. This would be the first time she had ever fought anyone other then See'r and it sent a chill down her spine. it had to be done and she would regret it forever if she didn't do something to avenge the once person who meant the most to her.
Slipping out of the Inn unnoticed proved harder then she thought. See'r, the caring man he was, had stayed at the bar instead of wandering the streets this time. It strengthened her resolve to get vengeance for him.Abel was a horrible monstrous man who had blinded a child.
The night was just as cold as it had been when she had went hunt for her silver haired best friend but unlike that night she didn't have a knot of worry in her stomach freezing the blood in her rains. And this time she knew where she was heading to. The fair grounds weren't that far off from the Inn and the Zealot's stage was somewhere in the middle. Alchemy made sure that she was as quiet as she could be as she slipped into the tent behind the stage.
Another welcome clink into the inverted cap brought a small smile to the young juggler's face. After saying a quick "Thank You!" to the passing patron, the girl let loose another steady stream of colorful dowels into the air for the small crowd gathered around.
It had been two weeks since Byron had been to Rayeth's show, though her nonattendance was by no means on purpose. Byron had run into a bit of bad luck on her way home from the fairgrounds that day.
She was mulling over the events that occurred back at the stage as she walked. How Rayeth had knocked his boss off the stage was still very amusing and the child grinned widely at the memory. But thinking of what Abel had been saying afterwards diminished her smile somewhat. He hadn't answered her concern for her friend but began recounting other disastrous deeds that dragons have perpetrated. Any victory for people against the winged ones was, as always, received with loud cheering by the crowd. Everyone had been immersed in the bitter tales.
Distracted by her thoughts, she didn't come to notice the approach of a trio of children until it was too late. The oldest girl soon pushed past Byron without warning and started running across the street. She clutched something close to her, whereas her hands were empty just a moment ago. It took a while for Byron to realize that the satchel with all her money had been swiped. She immediately made for the thief but quickly found herself falling into a puddle of water. The thief's two companions had stayed behind on purpose just for this. They both violently rammed into Byron as soon as she tried to give chase, giving their leader more time to get away. The two did not stay on the scene for long either and took off in separate directions.
The street performer picked herself up from the murky streetwater while Knox screeched out monkey-cusses at their attackers. Despite the head start the pickpocket had acquired, Byron wholeheartedly believed she could close the distance between them. She ran as fast as she could in pursuit of the first girl only. The other lackeys were not the ones who had her day's salary.
The chase was a lengthy one because Byron had hope as long as she could keep her eyes on the tall and scrawny figure in the distance. Unfortunately, the chances of catching up fell drastically with the setting sun. Once it became dark, it only took the thief a sharp turn into unfamiliar territory before Byron lost her completely. Tired, defeated, and soaking wet, there was nothing more she could do but walk back to her shabby inn.
Now the owner of the inn was not an unreasonable man, however he had to run a business and could not afford to allow Byron to stay without pay. At most, he could give her a day to stay for free while she tried to come up with the money for her continued residence. The day after that would be the day she would have to settle the bill or leave. Byron understood. Even though she really wanted to spend the next day searching for the thief, she had a deadline to meet. The dark haired child went to bed that night realizing that she wasn't able to see her friend after the show as she had planned.
As soon as morning came, Byron got up, got ready, and headed out. She began work earlier than usual and employed more of her flashier stunts and tricks the entire day. She had hoped to draw in a bigger crowd in a short amount of time. But because many people who had attended the previous day's show had come to believe she was somehow allied with or under the command of the blue and silver dragon, the amount of coins in her beret at the end of the day was only an average amount. Still, it was enough to cover her stay for that night and the next. Once again, she didn't have time to go see Rayeth. She had to get home and rest so she could get up early again.
This was how things were for few more days after that. The number of people who were willing to pay slowly rose again as rumors of her acquaintance with Abel's pet grew stale. A week had passed since she was robbed and the young one finally saved up enough to afford shortening her work hours. But Byron would still not spend the extra time resting. Instead, she searched for any sign of the thieves or their hideout every afternoon once she had finished doing her job. Despite another week of tireless investigation the thieves and her money's whereabouts remained a mystery. The port of Pay'Tions could definitely hide anything.
It was time for Byron to let go. She already had enough money to make up for what was lost, didn't she? Besides, it's been a while since she's treated herself to a show. One with a dragon in it. 'I just hope Mister Rayeth isn't too mad at me for disappearing without a word...', she thought.
The performer worked patiently until a few hours past noon, at which time she promptly abandoned responsibility. "I'm sure we have enough money, Knox. Let's go.", she tried to convince her aquamarine assistant. "What time does Rayeth's show end again?"
Along the way, Byron bought a snack for herself and Knox. She also bought something for Rayeth. Although, since she didn't know what he might have liked or what dragons eat, she took a gamble and just bought a bag full of her favorite foods. "Maybe he'll like one of these. I mean, who wouldn't like grilled jellyfish?!"
((*purrs* But your posts give us something to work with! :3 Very nice! And YES! Amaya is back! :D))
Aesh stepped into the room slowly. "Jake," she smiled, her bright eyes locking on his face. "I wanted to see you. I have the feeling that you aren't quite happy here." Tilting her head, the dragon woman smiled a bit. "What do you miss, friend?" As much as she loved the Da Vinci estate, she knew that it wasn't for everyone.
-
There was a shift near the tent entrance. Rayeth ignored it at first . . . but the scent was different. With a low growl, the male drew himself into a crouch. He couldn't do anything from his silver prison, but usually it was a curious bystander that could easily be chased away. "You shouldn't be here," he said in a dangerously low tone. Alchemy's blonde hair caught his attention. It was almost as blonde as his own . . . but she was human. It was obvious by her smell.
Sadly, Abel wasn't in the backstage area. Rayeth didn't know why the woman was there, but he chose to adopt a feral stance anyway. He really didn't like crowds or people, you understand. "Leave."
(( GRILLED JELLYFISH?!?!? You're right! He'll love it. :3
Abel will be entering soon, so don't worry! I can hear the fangirls already. . . . ))
(( *glomps Minty back* :boogie: I'm so happy to be back))
Alchemy stopped at the voice every muscle in her body tensing. She didn't recognize the voice as either Abel's, she had gone back to see his show- or glare at him from the back of the crowd- at least once more.Nor did it sound like the boy who had helped her find See'r twice. Slowly turning to face the strange voice her eye widened at the sight of the man in the cage.Of course she knew he was a dragon this was just the closest she had ever been to one. Ann had kept to close an eye on her when ever a dragon was in the camp.
This dragon looked nothing like the clam one she had seen as a child. ' you would be angry too if you were locked up' she reminded her self. Still she took a half step back away from the cage and it's occupant. " I can't. Not till I find Abel." She spat the Zealots name out. finding the Zealots pet dragon in a cage may have distracted her but she needed to remember what she had came her to do.
Though Byron had intended to take up her usual spot right in front of the stage, the density of the crowds today would not easily let her through. Perhaps it wasn't such a good idea to have tried to force her way through. Half-way in, Byron found herself stuck. People still moved, but only towards where Abel was, further decreasing the gaps the girl could slip through. All she could do was stay put, eat, and listen.
The end of the show, and her freedom, did not come until after a lengthy wait. The great silver cage was no longer on stage, and the tall storyteller clad in red was nowhere to be found. A pity. Byron had been planning to speak to him since the last performance she had attended. The massive audience scattered slowly as people clamored about what they had just seen and heard. The weather had gotten chillier and the sky had already grown dark, but neither could damper the townspeople's charged reaction to the healings, the dragon, and the stories.
The purple eyed child walked over to a nearby tree and nimbly clambered up to a sturdy branch. She watched and waited for the fairgrounds to clear up a decent bit before she would head towards the back of the stage. By this time, the stars were already out. However, the city was still as lively and the many lights from street lamps and lanters joined the stars in illuminating the ocean-side region.
"Let's go Knox. I think we've let the food get cold enough.", Byron stated in a slightly depressed tone. She sighed glumly before jumping down, Knox following behind her before landing on her shoulder once they reached the ground. With the oil stained paper bag clutched tightly in one hand, the acrobat plotted out a path to the area where all of Abel's workers' tents stood.
Stopping just a few feet away from one of the canvas structures, Byron scanned the area for someone to ask. Most of the stagehands were busy though, and nobody seemed to stay put for more than a second. Her eyes eventually wandered towards the entrance to the stage's underside in the distance. Now that she thought about it, she could just sneak in like before. No one was near it and, with how things were going, perhaps she would be unnoticed again.
Byron took a step towards the idea before she slammed on the brakes. "E-excuse me!", she called out, rushing over instead to the only personnel who she believed wasn't too busy looking. Pausing behind the figure who was writing something down, she continued, "Excuse me, is Mister Rayeth here? I was wondering if I could go see him. I wanted to ask Mister Abel but I couldn't find him anywhere..."
