Gwen shifted slightly next to Dorian. She felt someone coming....Someone she was most likely not going to like. "Maria...Hide Dorian....now....Someone's coming, another vampire....He's evil Maria and very powerful, more powerful then both of us put together...."
She leaped forward, changing her form into a slender white fox with red tipped ears and tail. 'I'm going to try to veer him away, but there's a good chance I won't be able to. Maria....you do sense him, right? This vampire....This is the one after Dorian....I don't know how I know this, I just do. Please, you have to keep Dorian safe until I can find out why this vampire is after him. Even if you have to take him somewhere away from here...Just keep him safe....'

((Very sorry everyone, I'm just very busy and there are days that I can't get on at all. I'm working on getting Road Runner for the internet at home, but till then, I'll be on every now and then :( When are you all on?))

Not waiting for a response from Maria, Gwen walked over to Dorian and gently touched the tip of her nose to his hand, then turned and ran down the sidewalk to cut off the other vampire.
'I'll come back...I have to....I promised Dorian and I won't break the promise ever....'

A man in a dark suit walked into the road they were on from an alleyway nearby. Sensing the others, he grinned, showing his sharp teeth. He was just a few feet away from the three, and they could see his fangs glisten when he smiled."Well, well..." He started as if he had more to say, but he never finished. He drew nearer to the fox and stopped when he was just a foot away. "Well aren't you just vicious looking?" He said, mocking Gwen.

Maria, knew who this man was. He was the one She had been warning Gwen about. Now, things would get a lot harder. Maria quickly shape shifted to a white tiger and grabbed Dorian, with her teeth, by his shirt. Throwing him on her back. She tried to comfort him, event though that seemed impossible.


Dorian it's going to be ok... maybe... but you must not let go. ok? Maria telepathed to Dorian as she ran away from the scene.

Gwen growled and fluffed out her big, bushy tail, her ears pinned back against the side of her head. 'I don't know who you are and quite frankly, I don't care, but you're in my territory pal so back off!!!' She shot back.
The guy merely laughed and took a step forward. Gwen trembled slightly, but held her ground. 'He's not getting to Dorian. I won't let him even if it kills me!' Gwen growled again and even barked once. 'Hey!! I said back off!! This is my town and my territory!!! You have no right to be here!!! I know your type; all you do is cause trouble for the rest of us vamps in town!!! Now leave before I have to do something about it!!!'

Dex watched the scene from the roof of the store. He rolled from his back onto his stomach, 'This could get interesting.' he thought. 'It could also get out of hand very quickly.....'
Sighing, Dex stood up and stretched. It was ridiculus how things got out of hand so fast these days. He narrowed his eyes and jumped down between the two advancing vampires. "And what are we up to?" he asked, looking at each of the vampires in turn.
The one, a dark-looking man, didn't strike his fancy the moment he saw him. Dex got bad vibes from this guy and his vibes never turned out to be false. The other, a girl was about all he could tell at the moment, seemed familiar, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.....
'But I know her....I've heard her voice somewhere....I know I have....' Thought Dex to himself. He narrowed his eyes even more until they were thin lines that were barely visible. Turning back to the man, he spoke in a voice that was taut and eerilly calm. "I think the lady wants you to leave...if I heard correctly. I would advise you to rethink your actions before things get out of hand....and I have to step in. You really don't want that...."

Dorian nodded and gripped a few tufts of Maria's fur. He turned his head back and watched as a third vampire entered the scene. He could tell they were talking but he was too far to hear them, and before long he couldn't see them at all. He turned his head back forward and clenched Maria's fur tighter.

Zeddock let out a menacing chuckle. "I suppose I'll leave you for now." He bowed very formally and as he turned away he mumbled something about the two vampires not being his current target and he transformed into his raven form. When he was a raven, one could not tell him apart from an ordinary bird, save for the smell of old blood. Alas only fellow vampires could smell the lingering scent on him, and only from a few feet away or closer. 'I'm coming for you, Dorian...' A caw echoed in the town, resembling maniacal laughter and in an instant, the vampire disappeared into the black sky.

Dex turned back to the fox who, apparently able to easilly tell how strong he was, was trying to slip away unnoticed. He frowned "Wait. You could at least change back to your normal form so I can see who you are. I just saved you from a world of hurt."
He waited silently as the fox jumped forward and shifted into a beautiful girl, maybe around 16 or 17, with black hair and violet eyes. She briefly looked up at him and mummbled thanks before looking back down at the sidewalk.
'I do know her! It's that girl! The one I've....been watching....' Dex quickly turned away as the girl looked back up at him. 'Damn! Why is it that everytime I come into contact with some girl that I like, I have to blush?! Why?!'
This was the girl he'd seen on his usual flight around town. That day, she'd been on her way to do some hunting and it seemed that everything about her had struck his fancy. He'd watched her hunt, then when she went home for the night, he'd given up for the day, but he'd always see her again the next day. He liked her a lot, but he was more of a loner anyway. But....
"What's your name?" He asked quietly as he dared to look back over at her. "I'm Dex Kindo. Is there somewhere you need to be? I can get you there safely. That other vampire could still be around and he is a very big threat. His name is Zeddock. He's very strong; stronger then you perhaps?"

Gwen was taken back by this vampire's sudden offer. "M-my name's Gunieviere, but it's Gwen for short....Uh no, m-my friends aren't far. I may be able to just call to them." She blushed as his electric green eyes looked into hers. "H-how do you....How...."
This wasn't good. She couldn't even think straight. 'M-Maria! C-come back, the other...vampire is...gone. I...need to...see....Dori...an....now....' Her telepathy dulled to a barely audible whisper as Dex took a step closer to her.
Gwen's eyes fluttered closed as Dex cupped her face with his hand. Was he shaking? But as he kissed her only one thought was running through her mind: 'What's going on with me today?'

Zeddock caught sight of a boy riding on a quick white beast down a beaten path. He could only assume it was Dorian and that other vampire as that sight isn't something you would think of as common. He swooped down closer to them, but just out of Maria's range of smell. He remained quiet for the most part, just stalking them until they made a stop. He sat in a tree, still in the shape of a raven, anticipating his next move.

Maria heard Gwen's cry and went back as soon as possible. She was only a few feet away fort the two when she asked DOrian a question
Dorian are you ok? Maria asked as they traveled back to Gwen.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He said, loosening his grip a bit, more confident that he wouldn't fall. "I'm just a little nervous I guess... I still don't think this is real." Dorian let out a small chuckle and waited for Maria to take them back to Gwen and possibly the other vampire.

Dex pulled back quickly and suddenly. Now he knew his face was beat red and....it scared him. This whole situation scared him. This was saying a lot because nothing scared Dex.
He blinked, the pupils of his eyes dialated so much that only a thin circle of green was visable around them. "I'm s-sorry. I don't know....why I did that. Please excuse me."
Suddenly, he stopped and stood very still. 'That damn vampire didn't leave. What could Zeddock be up to now?'
Dex knew Zeddock from past experience. They used to work together; Dex drawing foolish humes into the mansion where they stayed and Zeddock tourturing and feeding from them. Dex had enjoyed watching; it gave him something to do, not to mention it was funny. Dex would often get a couple laughs from the humes that would plead with Zeddock to let them go or at least let their loved one go and keep them instead. It was pointless however and that was what made it so amusing.....until Zeddock requested the girl Dex had first fallen in love with.
Her name was Katie. She was very pretty and had drawn Dex's attention almost immeadiately. Unfortunately, she also drew Zeddock's attention. He wanted her....not as his mate....He wanted to keep her for a couple nights, then he'd get bored of her and kill her; drain her dry. Dex wouldn't comply to this. So he left. He went to Katie and used compulsion on her to make her fall asleep, then he flew the two of them out of there and into this town. He set up a new family for her and everything, the only thing that was different was him. He couldn't come into contact with her at all and it was because of Zeddock.
He'd known that Dex loved her and knowing this, he placed a charm on her so if Dex came anywhere near her, Dex would be instantly killed and it would give away Katie's location to Zeddock, leaving her unprotected and vulnerable. So Dex kept away. It hurt, but it was to keep her safe which was all he wanted to do in the first place.
'But who is he after now and why?' thought Dex. He homed in on the person Zeddock was targeting and wasn't surprised to find that it was a hume....or was it? Narrowing it down to the one riding the white tiger, he was shocked to find it was.... "Shit! Gwen, you're not gonna like this, but hang on and don't let go!" Dex advised as a pair of feathery black wings flurred out from his back. Taking hold of Gwen, Dex raced to the location of the hume and tiger. 'Damn! He's after a Seeker! That hume is a Seeker! No wonder I was drawn here! I can't let Zeddock get to that kid or he'll kill him for sure!"

Gwen wrapped her arms around Dex's neck as they raced toward Maria and Dorian. "What's going on?! Why are we going to them?! They're already on their way to us!"

Maria and Dorian had finally reached Gwen and the other vampire and they stopped for a moment to chat. "Who are you?" Dorian asked the man in a strange tone, one that was neither friendly sounding nor was it intimidating.

Zeddock was perched on a building, still disguised as a raven. He waited for the two groups to meet and listened in on their conversation, waiting for them to leave Dorian by himself so he could kill him. Evil thoughts were stirring in his mind, they've figured out why he's after Dorian, so now he needed a new plan. 'Perhaps I should take a hostage...' After listening for a while, he flew off to find someone close to Dorian to take. Who better than his own mother? Zeddock found a woman with a similar facial structure as Dorian who was much older and living in a two bedroom house, he could only assume this was Dorian's mother. He flew to an open window and stared at Mrs. Molko. It didn't take long before she turned her head to him and made her way to the window. "What a pretty bird... Come here birdie!" Zeddock cawed, laughing at how naive she was, then after flying inside he changed back into his humanoid form and used his charm to lure her back to his lair.

"Because thy're about to be ambushed, that's why!" Dex hissed in frustration. This was beginning to get difficult, but he saw the two come into sight and landed in front of them, releasing Gwen from his grasp on her waist. He looked at the hume closely and immediately noticed the tiny flecks of magenta in them. "So you are a Seeker..." He said in awe. Dex narrowed his eyes and looked breifly around before turning back to the boy. "My name is Dex....You two are?"

Gwen gave Dorian a quick hug, "Are you okay?! Zeddock didn't get to you did he?! Maria, thank you so much! If it weren't for you Dorian would have been killed again!"

"Hold on, what do you mean again? Kid, you've died before? How did you manage that one? Seekers can't be killed...well not easilly that is." Dex gave Dorian an odd look, 'Does he even know what he is?'

((Not a problem Cerulean :) Btw, I know I forgot to mention this, but in order for a vampire to go into a humans living quarters, they have to be invited in. I totally forgot to add that in the rules! Im really sorry!))

((Ahh, right, right, I forgot about that. Baha, silly me. Lemme fix that real quick. [For some reason in my head he never went into the house, but I typed that he did. How queer. xD] -fixes-))

The look on Dorian's face must have been priceless by now, he had absolutely no idea what was going on. "Seeker? Wait... Me?" He looked back and forth between Gwen and Dex "Die? Again?! Okay... wait, what is a Seeker, and how and when did I die before? I thought you said she saved my life! I thought that meant she kept me from dying, not she brought me back... So what? Are Seekers some sort of Zombie race or something?" Dorian just kept asking questions, not even taking a breath in between and not waiting for an answer until the end. Now he just stared at Dex, who seemed to know the most, and waited for at least a few of his questions to be answered.

Dex sat in mid air and yawned, "This has been a very stressful night. Let's cut to the chase, now shall we? Kid, you're a Seeker. Seeker's were put on this...uh, planet, I guess if that's what you want to call it, to find a stone called the Sacred Moonstone. It's made out of pure moonsilver, a substence that only forms on the shadowed part of the moon. It's the only one of its kind and it hold tremendous power....enough power to completely wipe out the entire vampire or hume race, which ever one the user picks. Now here's a key factor: Only a Seeker can find the stone. Normal humes and vamps can't locate it's where abouts no matter how hard they may try. Also, once the stone is found, it only obeys the first one who found it. So, here's where you come in.
I have an ex-buddy by the name of Zeddock. Very strong, very cunning, you get the point. He wants to kill you to lessen the chance of you finding the stone first. He's a Seeker too and he'll do anything to get that stone. Don't believe a word he may say to you, even if he says he's going to kill your whole family, don't give him the stone once you find it! He wants to wipe out all of humanity, which is stupid because then how are we vampires going to feed? He was never the brightest of people I've met, but he's certainly the most vicious! You do get what I'm saying, right kid?"

Dex looked at Dorian as if he were watching ARC. "Kid, you died, but you came right back to life, duh! You don't just die half way and stay like that! Your body made quick repairs so you'd stay alive long enough to fix the rest. This girl here probably donated a bit of her own blood, but that doesn't mean your a vamp....I don't think...." Dex raised an eyebrow and glanced at Gwen, "Any idea as to exactly what this kid is? And would someone mind telling me his name?!?"

Gwen shook her head, "He's definatly not a vamp. I was able to feed from him." Suddenly, she felt very dizzy at the thought of blood and teetered on her feet.

"You fed from him?! That's not good at all!!! He's a Seeker!! Not just any vampire can feed from him or else they'll get sick....which is technically a paradox because vampires don't get sick...." Dex said as he steadied Gwen, who was barely strong enough now to stand up. "Do you have a place where we can stay by chance? I....can't just leave her-I mean, the two of you like this."

Dorian nodded, his mouth agape. His eyes widened as a thought reached him. "Wait? You said he would go after my family?! We have to make sure my mom is all right!" He started running toward his house, afraid to find she wasn't there.

Zeddock had tied up Mrs. Molko in his dungeon. 'This should lead him right to me.' Zeddock thought. He smiled and made his way to the main hall where he waited. At first he wanted the stone for his own selfish want to rid the world of humans, but recently he has wanted it just to torment everyone further with the possibilities. "Here seeker, seeker, seeker..."

Dex changed into a black panther and ran up to Dorian with Gwen laying on his back, cutting him off. 'Get on. There's no way in the world you're gonna make it back in time on your own. I'm gonna tell you know kid, we may already be too late. Who do you live with, your mum? If Zeddock's got her I can't let you go running off to play hero. You'll only get yourself killed that way. Zeddock's also a Seeker; he can kill you and he won't hesitate to either. The best thing to do is wait it out till morning. Zeddock wants you to go try to rescue your mum tonight; it's at night when he's strongest. He won't hurt your mum; he hasn't any other hostages available to him. But if you go tonight, he'll kill you and if I have to rescue your dumb ass tonight, I'll most likely be killed as well and I'd rather not have that happen. I've got too much on my schedual to die.'

Dorian began to protest, but Gwen cut him off weakly from where she lay. "Please Dorian, listen to Dex. He know's what he's doing. Please....Dorian.....for me....?" Gwen's eyes fluttered closed then as she passed out leaving Dorian to decide and Dex to react to the outcome.

Dorian was reluctant, but he eventually agreed. 'I hope it isn't too late' he thought, but he somehow already knew it was. They reached his house and Dorian ran in and up the stairs looking for his mother. He walked back outside to Dex and Gwen after a few minutes of searching, his head hung low, defeated. "She isn't there... He must have her, she wouldn't leave otherwise." Dorian sighed. "What can I do until morning? All I'll be able to think about his her safety!"

Dex nodded up the stairs for Dorian to follow as he laid Gwen down on one of the beds. Then, he turned and walked back down the stairs over to the window and had Dorian take a seat at the kitchen table. "Let me tell you something, Dorian is it? I once knew a very pretty girl. She was all I ever thought about and it was actually very difficult not to confront her and meet her. She was a hume and I'm a vamp. We're not meant to mix." Dex frowned and looked up at the ceiling, "But...that never stopped me from watching her sometimes. I wouldn't say I was obsessed, but I was definately in love. She was interesting, beautuiful, she had a colorful personality and that's what drew me in. It was also what drew Zeddock in."
Dex shook his head, his voice taking a somber tone. "He wanted her, but I knew that he'd just tire of her eventually and kill her. I.....I didn't want that to happen so....I kinda....kidnapped her. I used compulsion to make her think that she'd lived here all her life with a family I picked out myself that treats her as their own. But I was stupid. In my haste to get her out of there, I didn't even think that Zeddock had possibly placed a curse on her." He turned to Dorian, "I can't go near Katie or else I'll die, leaving her open to an attack from Zeddock. I can't watch her, I can't speak to her, nothing or the curse will kill me. So in order to protect the girl I love, I have to stay away from her, you get what I'm saying? It may not be the same situation with you, but it still has it's similarities."

((I'm just gonna pretend like Dorian invited Gwen and Dex inside :) I didn't know how else to work with it so I figured I'd wing it :)))

Dorian nodded. "Zeddock loves to see people in pain, doesn't he?" Dorian tried to find a reason why someone would get so much enjoyment out of such a thing. It was hard for him to understand since he was the one most people liked to torture.

Dex sighed, "Why don't you at least try to get some sleep. If not, then you can help me get ready for tomorrow. We're gonna need all the equipment we can get."

"Yeah, sure..." Dorian agreed. "What is it you need? I don't think I'll be able to sleep for a while... Might as well be useful..."

"Yes he does. He....finds it satisfying....I used to too until I had it done to me...." Dex's eyes dialated in horror, "It's not so much the gore, but its....the things he would do to me.....when I refused to bring him Katie. It....was degrading to a vampire." He looked at Dorian who seemed to be slightly confused. "Dorian, the most humiliating and degrading thing that can happen to a vampire is to have another one feed from them against their own will. It's the most terrible thing that's ever happened to me. It was like....my very soul was being ripped out of my body...It hurt not just on the outside, but inside as well. He went through all my personal thoughts and memories and there wasn't a damn thing I could do about it! And he didn't just do it once. He'd drain me until I was just barely alive, let me stay like that for the rest of the day or night, depending on when he did it, and the next night he'd heal me and do it all over again. It was....horrible....."

Dorian didn't know what to say, he wanted to try and comfort Dex, but he had no idea how he would do so. "What do we need in order to defeat him?" Dorian asked, and after a sigh from Dex he continued. "I know we won't be able to beat him just yet, but how can we prepare for now?"
