This is not meant to be filthy or perverted. this is an honest discussion on the subject of male circumcision and its effects in their lives.

Men, have you ever been discriminated against because you are or aren't circumcised?
(actually being circumcised, not the religious or social reasons as to why you were circumcised) does circumcision effect daily life anyway in cleaning in hygiene and or pleasure? would you change your status if you could?

ladies,w hat is your opinion on circumcision? does it matter to you if a man is circumcised or not? considering that most men have no choices as to whether they are circumcised or not. does circumcision make any difference in love making?

Just hoping to gather some honest opinions from people with any experience or well thought out theories. looking forward to a good discussion on the realities of this phenomenon and the people affected by it.

and in case any one was wondering, i was circumcised for religious reasons when i was an infant.

Funny story about this topic, The first time I saw my husband naked I said something like Ohh I have never seen an uncircumcised penis before. He did not know what I meant and later Google it. You might want to tell your little boys the difference to save them THAT embarrassment. I have no idea how he went though high school and wasn't told...

As far as your questions, I don't think it matters too much most of the time, but he did get a yeast infection (we were married and not using condom, and I did not know I had one.) which I hear is quite rare in most (circumcised) men. But can be spread to Uncircumcised men rather easy I think it had to do with the skin flap.

Before we were married, the sex was just the same for me as with any other man, as we used a condom.

My boyfriends thing was the first one I ever saw and surprise--- it was uncircumsized! All the ones I saw in health class/porn previous to that were.. so I was the one that was a little taken aback.
I must say, however, it is tons of fun the way it is! I think going into detail would be inappropriate for Menewsha, but let's just say the experience is much better than if it were cut (when it comes to me.. well.. going down under).

I've only seen pictures of uncircumsized ones, but they don't look appealing to me at all. The ones that I have seen in real life have all been circumsized. I much prefer circumsized and will be having it done to any sons that I have. I've heard a lot of things about how it's easier to clean and can eliminate some health concerns later in life for the boy, though it can be a pain to take care of the bandages and such on a new baby.

that's what i heard was the reason behind the religious part of it. it's easier to keep hygienic. however the recovery time for circumcision in an infant is optimal at 8 days, when it was traditionally mandated. the immune system is in good condition to handle it and it heals faster. that actually makes me wonder how healing for any injury around there would go. the body heals faster where more blood is flowing, which is why oral wounds heal fast. i wonder if the same goes for that area.

I prefer my men to be circumcised.

But I am also Jewish, so that might be part of it.

Hrm. I have no preference, really. Then again, I really do not like cocks. I really don't.

But I suppose if I have to choose, the extra skin might just annoy me. So circumcised it is!

Uncircumcised.

Circumcising infants is just immoral. :( It makes me sad to see a man who was circumcised as a baby, not turned on.

Unfortunately I live in America where everyone is circumcised. I don't mind circumcision, I just kind of prefer when guys aren't cut. I myself am not, actually. Hooray for my mom saying, "not necessary, thanks."

it doesn't matter whether or not they are circumcised.
as long as it's a clean penis then i am happy. X3

however, there is a difference when it comes to fellatio.
since there is extra skin on a circumcised penis, you do have to make sure to fold it back so the most pleasure is felt by the man.

I don't find the penis attractive in the least, so there's no real aesthetic value in either case for me. However, as long as it gets the job done, and he's happy with what he's got, I don't have a problem. ^-^

I prefer uncircumcised.
It just feels nicer during sex, it's smoother.

Mind you, most men here in the UK are not circumcised, so it creeps me out a bit when men have been circumcised for no good reason.

Having said that, it's not a total deal-breaker.
My husband had to be circumcised at 17, due to an unusual hereditary condition. It's common knowledge that circumcision decreases senstivity, but I didn't know how bad it was until I talked to him about it. He tells me that the circumcision decreased sensitivity so much that having sex before and after the circumcision is like the difference between seeing in colour and seeing in black and white.

And sometimes that can be kind of hard to get that out of my head when we're being intimate together. It's difficult not to think about how the circumcised guy could be getting so much more out of sex, and be enjoying so much more pleasure, if he wasn't circumcised.

I don't know what's the difference between circumsized ones or not but I'll keep the hygeinic part in mind if I ever have a baby boy.

Healing in that area of the body is very fast. I have had injuries in that area (though I'm female) thanks to retarded doctors preforming tests and examinations the wrong way. A cut there took one day to heal up and not be felt anymore vs this cut I had on my forearm that took a week to heal up and stop being a pain to me.

It's actually not any more hygeinic to have a circumcised penis. That's just a common misconception.

You just need to teach him to clean his penis thoroughly... which is something all parents should teach their kids, circumcised or not.

I think the pleasure is subjective. The difference could exist, but it could also be partially mental. Because he knows something he had before is now gone, it's affecting him physically. I've known other guys who have been able to just turn off all feeling or can't feel as well because of traumatic things that have happened in their pasts. It wasn't that anything was physically wrong, but that the mental things were blocking the physical.

Sex is also a very emotional thing. The pleasure should not be all just reaching climax or whatever, but being close and intimate with someone you love. For me, that feels even better than the physical side.

It's probably just a combination of everything, physical and mental, that causes the difference.

Oh, don't misunderstand me, we do still have a very good sex life, and he does still really enjoy every aspect of sex. It's not that he's suffered some huge psychological trauma, it's just that the purely touch-sensitive part of it was significantly depleted afterwards, especially when using a condom.

It's a known fact that circumcision decreases sensitivity. Many organisations, such as The British Journal of Urology International, claim that it could even be as much as four times more sensitive in some cases, although whether the difference is always so dramatic is still debatable.
It's just that men that are circumcised from childhood don't know what they're missing, so it's often harder on men that have experienced both.

For him, the difference wasn't just when he was having sex, but when he was masterbating, too.
Obviously he's much more used to it now, so he doesn't really miss it as much, and sex with me is different than it is with most women (for reasons that I think might push the PG13 guidelines), so I don't think he misses it too much nowadays.

I prefer being with circumcised men, but I wouldn't break up with a man who wasn't circumcised for that reason or be disgusted by him. It just would take me a little while to get used to because it doesn't look as attractive to me and I know lots of unhygienic things get trapped under the skin of non-circumcised men that can actually give women infections and things.

I never heard about the decrease of pleasure, actually. But I don't know any men who have been circumscribed long after birth.

xD;

But a benefit of circumcision is that there is some STD protection. Meaning, you're less likely to get an infection.

And as the previous poster said, you can get little infections and pass them back and forth between you and your partner if anything gets all up in there.

>< Talk about grossssss.

I prefer men to be circumcised, but that's just me. I just don't find the extra foreskin attractive at all.
When it comes to be kids though, my boyfriend (future husband) definitely gets the call there. I don't really think that's something a mother/woman should get the say so on, and neither of us are religious. So if he has had a happy life as a circumcised man and wants to pass that on to his kids, he can. Men are the ones who have to live with it, so I think they should be the ones who decide.

I prefer leaving the body whole unless medical reasons require otherwise.
There's so much debate in this area, I'm not sure if there is a valid medical reason in this case or not.
Since I am not male, male circumcism would only direct effect me in two ways.
- Me having sexual intercourse with a male person.
- Me having a male child/son.

Since I am asexual and something is wrong with me and I cannot have sexual intercourse, both of these issues seem unlikely to come up in my life. This might fall under TMI, so I won't go into details.

In theory, if I were to get whatever medical treatments and have sexual intercourse with a man, I would based on what I've read, prefer an uncircumcised man.
However choosing a sexual partner would be more then physical attraction, therefore I wouldn't want to discriminate against a man who most likely had a elective surgery as an infant.

If in theory, I got pregnant and had a son, I would leave the choice of the surgery up to the biological father of that infant. I like Amelia, agree the men have to live with this so they should be the ones to decide.
The only thing I would insist that if the biological father decided to go ahead and have the surgery, I would want painkillers for the infant.

As far as I know, most of the males in my family has been circumcised. Which seems or was common in the USA.

I have been with both circumcised and uncircumcised men, and honestly I would rather be with someone who is circumcised. I liked how the circumcised men were much cleaner down there. Not only did it make is stink less, and taste better, I know it is easier to clean for them. I personally found that uncircumcised me finished alot faster, and were more sensitive, well this may be a preference of other females, I didn't care for it.

Now after being with someone who is circumcised for two years. I can honestly say that I don't think I could go back to someone who was uncircumcised. So it has become a deal breaker. I would enjoy sex less, due to smell and how it would feel during intercourse.

I would get my child circumcised, for health reasons and religious reasons.
