i can hear the pitter patter of rain on my roof and all i want to do is curl up again and go back to sleep. or just read all day.
sorry, but today doesn't afford that luxury.

what do you guys like doing on a rainy day?

Rainy days are for baking & watching movies.
Or in the spring/fall when it's straight-up storming instead of just raining, it means it's time to sit out on the balcony and watch it, especially if there's a tornado potential. XD

Oh yes! ^^ I too like baking, reading, watching movies, sleeping, etc. I love rainy days. : )

I actually really love being outside in the rain, but reading and baking sound like lots of fun too. (:
It's so great because it feels like you have the world to yourself with everyone busy hiding inside.
It also really depends on what kind of a storm we're talking about here, because I'm with Kid Disaster in that big storms are meant to be watched. =3

Lol, if it's raining really hard I call my friends up to hang with me outside. Ha ha. But if it's just a boring sort of rain then reading, or playing scary video games is always fun to do.

hmmm, me and my mom both like to listen to the sound of the rain, but it was raining for 5 days straight at least, a few days ago anyways. So, when it cleared up, we where kinda like, yay! XD

There is something so lovely about the rain.

Rainy days I go outside and walk around.

I find it so peaceful and calming. It smells soooo fresh afterwords, too. I just love the rain :)

@Kid Disaster - hahaahha. i was talking to someone at work about the amazing thunderstorms in florida. his response was "i don't know about that.." *unimpressed look*
but i told him about the beauty of it and how it cools the air with the breeze.
and how if you sit on the back porch in complete dark it's like a light show.
*sigh* that is one thing i really miss about good old naples florida right now!

@ PoppyPatch - i have the worst luck making anything when it's storming out.
my power always seems to go out when i do that!

@ LaVida - the sound of rain is wonderful and extremely relaxing. that is precisely why i like to nap when it's raining. lol.
and i think after five days of rain i would rejoice in the sunshine also! ^^

I loooove just watching and thinking, normally. Or when it's a decent rain in warm weather I'm out there in it--I can't help myself--gardening or something. If it's kind of chilly I'll sit inside and read/draw, and thunderstorms must be watched or played in. :]

I love to sleep in on a rainy day. This can also be because rain makes me sleepy lol.
I also love to curl up with a good book. The sound of the rain on my window sill calms me too.

I love to sit by a window, with it open so I can smell the air while it rains <3 So amazing, crisp and fresh. I also sometimes toss on a pair of pants that I don't mind soiling and some wellington boots and I go for a walk. I then feel the need to kick or jump in every puddle I come across. On a really warm day, I have done this with flip flops on, and the feeling of the water was lovely!

Well the rain used to make me feel depressed, but now it doesn't bother me as much. I usually just stay inside, watch tv, play some video games, or either doodle. OR now I would go over my big brother's house and watch his kids. Their so fun to watch.

I like to relax and sit at the window with it partly cracked so I can smell the wet dirt. <3 And write. I love to write when it's raining, and try to stay off my feet as my ankles always hurt when the rain comes.

I like to go out and run around in it. When it rains really hard around here it tends to create a little waterfall effect down our driveway steps and collects in puddles in the cracks in the cement. My kitty thinks I'm crazy - she usually watches from the porch - but it's a very invigorating feeling after going stir crazy in the house for months at a time during winter. I so hate the cold >.>

Anyway, I love seeing the sun through the rain sometimes. You can see rainbows <3
And if I happen to be stuck inside, I'll open my window and put my fan in it, let it blow for awhile. Then just read or write something. Or just relax with the other kitty. Being incredibly warm and slightly cool at the same time is a strange feeling :3

I love rainy days too.

My favourite is summer rain, when it's still bright and warm and pleasant. I like to go outside, wearing my wellington boots with a pretty summer dress, and smell that fresh smell you only get with summer rain.

When it's cold, I like to open up the curtains and sit in front of the french windows, wrapped in a quilt, watching the rain.

@mau5ie -- My mom always reminisces about Florida's lightning storms... I don't remember, 'cause I wasn't quite two when we moved away. =/ I'm still a little bitter about that. But Oklahoma's got some nice storms, so I guess it's alright... XD

gaaaaaaah... i really want both a cold chilly rain, on my day off please, and a warm summer rain so i can go dance in it!

i'm bitter because my parents moved me from germany TO florida.
i wish we never came to the states.

@mau5ie -- Nope. =/ My mom wanted to move back there for a while, but her job wouldn't let her transfer. So we got stuck.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next family vacation my dad & stepmom decide to take will be a trip down there, though. We've talked about it!

@ amyymickss - i used to feel the same way and hated rain. but now we don't see it as frequently as we used to and i appreciate it much more!! ^^

@kid disaster - i'm hoping to go down there in june to orlando.
they should have the wizarding world of harry potter open by then.
i'd really like to do the whole shibang though.
i would love to go to disney, potters, and epcot!!! ^^
