Suddenly, Vigil adopted a whole new personality; something just as honest as what he had said a few moments ago. You don't have to call me anything. If that's how you feel, and you feel so strongly, then you obviously don't need me around. The teal-haired male began to swim downward, away from Ryu. I'll just snap our bond and I'll be done with you. You obviously weren't as great as I thought. If you return to land, then I only hope they don't find you out. Or...maybe I do. You'll never know. And suddenly, Vigil's end went extremely dead as he melted out of sight. He still monitored Ry's thoughts, but that didn't mean he'd go after him, or that he'd reply. If he didn't want Ryu to find him, or know what he was thinking, then he wouldn't know.

Ryu paniked as Vigil swam away. As he'd realized a few minutes ago, he couldn't survive here without Vigil. And, the male hadn't told him anything about land. Was there time limits or some such thing?

~Wait!~ Ryu screamed in his mind, his tail pumping as he attempted to swim after Vigil, though slightly lopsided. He had wanted to punish Vigil a bit, make him wish he hadn't done all that for Ryu-but he hadn't though Vigil would leave him. ~Please!~ He whimpered, the sound sounding strange in this watery world.

Vigil kept his thoughts concealed, as if he was absolutely and completely going to follow this out. He pretended to want nothing to do with Ryu; not after all of the resentment that he felt towards him. He would wait, hide and wait, until Ryu admitted that he needed, wanted him around, that he was important. He hated it when his gracious feelings were taken this way, and if there was one thing he hated, it was this fact; Ryu didn't appreciate it. He had made him so much better...but he didn't see it that way. He just saw that Vigil was 'evil', and that he was absolutely no good.

A sigh passed his lips as he hid in a dark spot, disguising himself as well as possible. Ryu could swim right past him and never know it. He was hard to detect the further down he was.

The male continued swimming, although he tired quickly, unused to the movement. His head swivelled back and forth, thought eventually Ryu froze, his limbs shaking. The world down here was strange, strange sounds, shapes. Even the movement of things was strange. He whimpered again, trying to call for Vigil as he had been doing. ~Please, Vigil...Please, come back! I can't...I can't survive here, please, help me!~ The longer the male was away from Ryu, the more terrified he became, and the more convinced he was that the other male had truly left him to his own devices.

Figuring that Ryu had been tortured enough, he opened his mind back up to him. Ryu...do you really want me, or do you just feel the selfish desire to stay alive? That was all he said before shutting his mind off again, awaiting his answer. He almost feared what he got, but he knew that either way, he could make the other love him if he needed to. After a few seconds with no answer, he spoke up again. Ryu, all I'm asking is that you worship me, follow me, listen, do whatever I say...and I will be your slave. I will love you with everything I am, everything I have. I would kill for you, I would swim the ocean multiple times for you, I would go to the reaches of the earth alone and return to you as soon as I could if that would make you happy...I've watched and longed for you for too long to let you slip out of my grasp over something like this.

Panic faded as Ryu heard Vigil's voice in his mind, although he hesitated. He didn't want to be left alone, that was true. He also felt so drawn to Vigil. ~I...I want to stay alive, and I want you. In a way. I don't love you. I don't even know you. But you want me to obey you and worship you...And you claim that will make you my slave? That's not right, it means I am the slave, to you...I-I'm scared, mostly. I'm in a new world, with someone who scares me with untold power, and that I am very attracted to. Who is king and has a brother whom he clearly love more than me, even though you keep saying you loves me...You have the power to kill me, or have others kill me...it scares me...

Then you will learn to love me. Was Vigil's simple answer. He tapped Ryu on the shoulder, awaiting him to turn around and see him. He'd been there for a few moments; not long enough to have been noticed, but still present for a bit. If you want to stay with me, then kiss me. Prove to me that you want me. He just hoped that he'd be treated right, in return for treating the other right.

Spinning as he was tapped, Ryu stared for a moment, reaching for Vigil before he was commanded to do so. His tail curled around the other male, and Ryu deepened his kiss. He did want this, although he didn't know if he could love Vigil, he was willing to give the delicious dragon a chance. His hands groped at Vigil, clutching the teal hair greedily. Once more, had Ryu been on land, he would have been sobbing. ~Please, Vigil, please don't leave me again. I...I want to stay with you...~

This was as much proof as he needed; Ryu would stay with him. At least, for now, and that was all he could ask for. He loved it; the kiss felt more amazing, for him, under water. He purred and opened up his mouth. If you're good...I'll let you dominate me. Right now. Will you behave? I'll give all control to you...

The male pulled away from Vigil, gently treading water next to him. His body was still shivering with pleasure as he responded. "Yes, Vigil?" It was strange, speaking aloud as the water ran over him gills. It sounded misplaced in the ocean, and Ryu glanced around quickly, nervous at all the space.

"You're a natural." Vigil drug him close against his chest, and stomach, what had previously been in use shrinking back inside his body while it wasn't needed. He kissed him deep and happiliy, opening up his mouth a moment. "I've...never had anything like this...it...was the most alarmingly real thing I've ever experienced." And he didn't seem to be lying, either.

The male had purred as he recieved the praise, happily kissing Vigil back. When he was released, he began speaking, a soft smile on his lips. "That...it was amazing..." He shivered once more, before his gaze turned serious. "Vigil...you said you are a king. There are lots more like you? What about me? How often do your people make ones like me?"

Vigil whined a little at the sudden seriousness. "Not a whole lot...but I am king of the entire ocean. And...we don't make you often. You're the first brought in by someone of royal blood..." And likely the first brought in to impregnate someone, if the feelings bubbling in Vigil's gut had anything to say about it. But he blocked that thought so that Ryu wouldn't freak out.

He nodded, glancing around and reverting to the thought speech between himself and Vigil. ~And when are we to meet them? What will I be to them? Am I viewed as a servant...And what of your brother...?~ He began swimming in tiny circles around Vigil, pausing to kiss him every few laps. He was attempting to get his swimming down, without veering towards the right.

He purred softly, nuzzling him when he got the chance after every kiss. We'll meet them as they come to us. There's an entire ocean spread about this planet, we don't usually congregate in one area. As for how you will be viewed...you will be seen as I want you to be seen. Likely as the father of the next heir to the thrown. Again, that thought was blocked. My brother will accept you at face-value; he...is not the cleverest fish in the sea.

Ryu continued his laps though he broke off occasionally, speeding off to gather items that caught his eyes, he brought them to Vigil to show with childlike delight. As he was bringing free floating seaweed to show off to Vigil, he asked, "What do you mean, come to us?" He twirled the seaweed around his body, as if it was a ribbon. "Then the stories of Atlantis..those aren;t real?"

"The stories of Atlantis...are very real. Except that is not what we call it. The letters were garbled when your people tried to translate. It's of no use trying to change it, but...it is very real. The entire ocean is our utopia. We come and go as we please from different sectors...it's like a never-ending, all-encompassing city." Vigil explained, smiling a little at the childlike wonder his new ward showed. It was cute.

The male contemplated for a minute, pausing to dive a bit further, and race upwards. He was truly getting the hang of swimming. "So...wait...If it's one big city...are you the king of it all? And..." He glanced around, rather stupidly, "Where's your palace?" Ryu moved back to Vigil, as if held Ryu in a gravitational pull. The boy's tail wrapped around the other male, without Ryu's even realizing he was doing it. He frowned, another thought popping into his mind. "How many other like me have you created?"

The much older male watched him with a smile and sighed a bit, glad that he was getting the hang of these things. Once he moved back, he smiled, "Yes, I am the king of it all. And my palace is in an exclusive location...I'm not there often." Vigil smiled a little and held him close, nuzzling him. "I've created..." He paused to mock-count on his fingers, before smirked, "Six. None have lived, thus far."

"I see..." Ryu commented on the palace, before jealousy curled in his stomach. He was human at heart, after all. "Why did you make the other six?" He asked, the jealousy touching his voice.

"And, if you aren't at your palace, how do you run your country?" Ryu left the fact the the ocean was far too big for one man to rule. Even humans knew better than to challenge a king.

The jealousy tinging his voice made Vigil lick his lips. Ryu would definitely need to stick with him; he'd get killed out here for that. "Because, like you, they were different. Well, they were until they realized they were sleeping with and seeing a king. Two went on power trips, one thought he was impervious to the 'evils of the sea' and a shark ate him....and the other three tried to mooch me out of house and home, steal it and run away on land. When it comes down to it, you humans covet objects too much. But...I figured since you never had much to covet, you just might be better about that." He tugged him close, kissing his lips possessively. "I expect you to be better, and if you aren't, I won't hesitate to kill you. You can covet me, if you must have something, but that is all you are allowed."

"It is an ocean; it runs itself. I protect it; that is the thing that has us with a ruler in the first place." A smaller voice replied, before a very happy young male tackled Vigil beneath the sea, managing to unlatch Ryu in the process. He snuggled the teal male happily, his own fins a pale blue with hints of a purple-pink. He was gorgeous; and had silvery, shoulder-length hair with bright golden eyes. "Vigiii~!" He cried, nuzzling into the male. "I never thought you'd come back!"

"Of course, I'd come back. Do I ever not?"

Ryu had quietly thought about this, chewing on his bottom lip as Vigil spoke. "So...I'm not the first you 'loved'?" He hesitated, wryness touching his voice, "And I truly am a slave, though not in name. The only thing I am permitted is my 'Master'." He shook his head slightly, "Not even permitted a rock. I may not have had much to covet, but that doesn't mean I didn't have ideas for myself. You took that from me."

As Vigil was tackled, Ryu wondered briefly if Vigil had lied, and perhaps claimed many more than Ryu. He realized a moment later who this must be-Vigil's little brother. What was his name again? Cain... He watched the pair silently, a fake smile on his lips. His arms were wrapped around himself, his tail occasionally stroking the water to keep him in the same place.

Once Cain had calmed down and separated, Vigil's voice hit Ryu's head. Not even I have more than you or my brother. In the sea, everything is everyone's; we do not covet, as I have said. We merely protect those we love. You are no more a slave than you are a bird. If you wanted to leave, you could easily leave me. I'd let you, if you so chose it. But...I don't think you will, not yet. You may want to learn a few things before you go.

As he was speaking inside Ryu's brain, though, he was speaking, as well.

"Cain, this is Ryu. He is my new mate." A high-pitched giggle left the smaller male and he shyly moved over, offering a hand before seeming to hop on him with a happy hug.

"Hi, Ryu! I'm Cain! Do you love my big brother, then?" He seemed very happy, a large, almost stupid grin on his face.
