"No, no...I'll be fine. I'll get used to it--it's not a bother, really," Selena assured her quickly, flashing her a smile. "I'll be fine, honestly." She waved, and then headed back out to the main beach.

"Alright, if you're sure..." Glory said, slightly disbelieving. As she watched Selena go towards the main beach, she headed back to the room, figuring that Selena would let her know if she changed her mind.

Léan's eyes were glued to the TV. The contestants were presenting their cakes to the judges, at this time. He was eager to see who would win.

Glory grinned when she saw him watching the show so intently and sat down to watch it too.

"I think I've seen this one before," she said during a commercial break. "It's a pretty good episode."

Léan looked quite amused. "We have nothing like this back home. Television is amusing. Perhaps this is why so many humans are lazy?"

"Trust me, it's definitely why," Glory replied. "Why would people go outside and actually do things when they can find something to watch any time of day? There have been times I've been up almost all night watching a good movie."

"We have theater, but we have nothing like this. My goodness, if you ever want to take over our world, just use this," Léan teased, watching the commercials eagerly.

Glory ignored the commercials for the most part, since most of them were shown nationally and she'd seen them before.

"Are these really that interesting?" she asked.

"For someone who has never seen something like this before...yes, quite," Léan assured her, eyes fixated on the television screen. "It's fascinating."

"If you say so," Glory said. "Commercials are usually boring, at least for me. Commercial breaks usually last five minutes or so, so the show should be back on soon."

"Oh. I can see who wins, then," Léan murmured, stretching his tail all the way out. "Is there anything you would like to do, instead, if it's boring for you?"

"It's just commercials that are boring, actually," Glory said. "The shows are fairly interesting. Though I need to talk to Viktor and see if it would be possible to close off one of the pools for a while."

"Pool..." The term floated around in Léan's head for a moment before it registered. "Oh, a pool. A fake ocean...why? To give me a chance to swim?" he asked, seeming rather excited. The tank was large, but it was still cramped for him.

"Yeah, actually," Glory replied. "You just have to be careful not to breathe it, because it's probably chlorinated, and chlorine is technically poison. Humans put it into pools to keep nasty things from growing in the water."

"Chlorine?" The word sounded foreign on Léan's tongue. "I...have never heard of that before. Are you sure it just won't be flat-out poisonous to me when I touch it, as well?" He sounded wary.

"I'm not sure at all, actually, which is why I still need to look into the whole pool idea," Glory said. "It's not concentrated enough to be lethal on contact, I know that, because I've gone swimming in chlorine pools all the time. The worst it does it dry my skin out a bit, so it shouldn't be any worse to you, but I still want to make sure."

"How would you make sure? Do you have an idea?" Léan had always been curious about human pools. "...If it isn't that concentrated, I might be able to breathe...unless you think that is a bad idea...I can always give it a shot--one breath should tell me if it is good or not, and that certainly won't kill me if it is as diluted as you say it is..."

"I'm not sure," Glory said. "It's probably not a good idea to breathe it, since it's probably bad to get into your system. I know it burns my eyes when I try to open them in chlorinated water, though I know people who say it doesn't bother them..."

"That will be...strange, to say the least." Léan's tail started to swish back and forth again. "Holding my breath is something I am not used to doing."

"It's space to swim," Glory pointed out, "unless you want to go back outside."

"I...don't think that would be a good idea, right now, going outside. All right, I can settle for that..." Léan huffed. "I will hold my breath."

"We're going to have to be careful when we get home, too," Glory murmured. "I don't know if he'll still be hanging around."

"Yes...and perhaps, when we get home, I should sing for your Nana...try to make her somewhat desensitized to the sound, in case he tries to lure her into the water..." Léan suggested.

"That's probably a good idea," Glory said. "It's probably the only thing that saved me earlier. I told Nana to stay inside until we get back, but it's not a perfect solution."

"I...could try it over the phone...but I am not sure that will have the same effect," Léan sighed, resting his head against the small rocks at the bottom of the tank.
