Léan tilted his head, not sure if he completely understood, and then nodded. "That...sounds like a lot."

"Sort of," Glory replied. She sat down with her back against the tank and the screen tilted up so he could see it. "All these lines are different songs. Each line tells me the name of the song, the artist that made it, how long it is, how many times I've listened to it, and the last time I played it." She scrolled down the screen slowly. "This is a list of all the songs I have stored in my computer. If I have it on this list, I can listen to it as often as I like."

"Ah..." Léan seemed to better understand, now. "I see, now. I don't understand how it can all fit in that box...thing...but...that is just me."

"It's all just information," Glory said. "The computer reads the different pieces of information and displays them properly either on the screen or through the speakers, which means that it can store a lot without it taking up physical space." She thought for a moment, looking for a good analogy. "It's kind of like... a brain. It works about the same way, except it doesn't forget unless you manually delete something."

Léan frowned, pondering that for a moment. "That's quite confusing to me. Then again, I'm not used to your technology yet, even after all of this time." He closed his eyes, then chuckled. "I would make a terrible human."

"Yeah, you probably would," Glory teased, "but it's okay. You don't need to know HOW it works to know that it DOES work."

"It bothers me that I don't know how things work, however. Well, I suppose I'll just settle for life in the dark." Léan stretched his arms up above his head. "Mmmmah...then again, you'd probably be lost in my world, as well..."

"I probably would," Glory agreed. "It's probably one of those things where if you weren't raised with it, you're probably never going to understand it properly. Besides, technology and water don't mix well. Technology tends to short out and stop working when it gets wet."

"Your technology, you mean. The things we have were built to work in water," Léan reminded her, tail swishing back and forth amusedly. He then paused, and yawned widely.

Glory could see that he was starting to get tired and turned off the music.

"Go ahead and get some sleep, if you want," she said. "I'm going to be up here for the rest of the night, probably, so I can keep other people from coming in. I'll probably read or something, there are some books I need to get caught up on."

Léan smiled and nodded, sinking down to the bottom of the tank. The shark was busy swimming around the tank, getting a feel for it. Léan rested his head against the small rocks on the bottom and closed his eyes, curling his tail up around him, to prepare for sleep.

Glory turned off her laptop and pulled a book out of her bag. She only brought a couple, for the plane rides, but she was most likely going to sleep through the flights anyways. Curling up on her bed, she started to read for a while.

Léan was asleep soon enough. He moved around in his sleep, and even let loose a small note of his siren song, the entire time he slept. It seemed he was dreaming.

Glory only noticed the bit of siren song when she realized she'd read the same two lines three times in a row. Shaking her head, she tried to focus on the book again, and managed to get back into the story enough to block him out.

"Freaky mind-control..." she murmured to herself. She knew it was good for her to be desensitized, though.

Léan turned over in his sleep, then curled up very tightly. He was still for a moment, then a fearful expression dawned on his face. His good dream had turned into a not-so-pleasant one.

Glory glanced up and saw the look on his face. For a moment, she debated waking him up. After a moment, she decided she'd want someone to wake HER up if she was having a bad dream, so she got up and knocked on the glass of the tank gently.

"Hey..." she said softly. "Léan, wake up..."

Léan woke with a start, twisting around so quickly that the tank shook. He relaxed after seeing it was just her. His shoulders slumped, and he let forth a great sigh.

"You alright?" Glory asked softly. "You looked like you were having a bad dream."

"Oh, quite...thank you for waking me up," Léan murmured, resting his head on his arms. "I'm fine, now. Having my father becoming a real danger to those I care about has stirred up unpleasant demons from my past..."

"I understand," Glory said. She grinned. "Well, before you started spazzing a bit, you kept making me lose focus, because you were kind of sleep-talking. Kind of. It was like I was reading, then wondering what the hell I was doing."

Léan's cheeks flushed a light shade of rose. "Oh...my apologies, I didn't mean to. I...do that, sometimes...it's a bad habit," he apologized, sheepishly.

"Don't worry about it," Glory said. "I don't mind. It was a pretty sound. Besides, I still have to get used to it somehow."

"It is not easy to get used to...it will take some time, and it takes a lot of willpower...this song has been luring sailors to their deaths for years..." Léan warned her. "But...we will see what can be done."

"Nothing worth doing is ever easy," Glory pointed out. "Besides, I'm already started being desensitized, I just have to improve on it. A lot." She climbed back onto her bed. "Go on back to sleep. I'll wake you if I notice you having another bad dream."

"All right...thank you...if I start singing again and it's too much, throw something in at me or shake the tank...it's a bad habit I need to get rid of," Léan chuckled as he settled himself down again.
