"Alright," Glory agreed. Not that she would... She kind of enjoyed listening to him. When she could actually focus, that was.

Léan, quite tired, was back to sleep in no time. He was still this time, but he did sing in his sleep. Only softly, though.

Glory didn't notice when she put her book down and went to sit down in the corner between the tank and the wall. It was such a lovely sound... Pulling her knees up to her chest, she laid her head down on them and just listened to the singing. She was asleep as well before she knew it.

Léan woke up a good hour or so later to a slamming door a few rooms down. He shook his head, disorientated by the sudden loud noise, and looked around blearily, trying to get his bearings.

Glory was startled awake by the sound as well and sat up. Her back and neck ached, and her legs were asleep. Getting up, she wondered how she ended up sitting on the floor, and walked stiffly to the door.

"What's going on out here?" she asked, poking her head out.

Viktor was sitting out in the hall, rubbing his eyes, like he'd just been woken up out of a good sleep. "Mm. Curry's drunk and in a bad mood. Threw me out of the room."

"That's your problem, man," Glory said. "What's he in a bad mood about?"

"No idea. He gets like that when he's had too much to drink," Viktor yawned, stretching his arms up. He was in his pajamas. "Guess I'm going to have to room with someone else till he sobers up...sorry if I woke you up..."

"Nah, it's probably a good thing you did," Glory said. She paused when she got an idea. "Selena hasn't gotten back yet... Give me a second, and I'll see if you can stay in our room for a little bit." She ducked back into the room and closed the door. Then she turned to the tank to see if Léan was still awake.

Léan was awake. He yawned, widely, and rubbed at his eyes, looking at her. "Mmm...what's going on?" he groaned, half-asleep.

"Aside from me somehow waking up sitting against the wall?" Glory asked. "Viktor says Curry is drunk and kicked him out of the room. That's what the noise was. Viktor's looking for another room to crash in until Curry comes back to his senses."

"Oh..." Léan scratched his head. "That's odd, you waking up there, I mean...perhaps he could stay in here? I wouldn't fully trust that, however, since he is probably drunk as well..."

"It's up to you," Glory said. "If you don't want him in here, then I'll tell him to find another room. Selena hasn't been back, either, but I'm not going to worry too much about that until it gets really late and she doesn't come back."

"Well...I suppose you should try to find out if he is an angry, nasty sort of drunk first..." Alcohol existed in Léan's world. Mind you, it was a more diluted form of alcohol, from an aquatic plant, but it was still alcohol. "If he can keep his temper in check, I don't mind at all...you should probably warn him about my song, though..."

"Alright," Glory said. Opening the door again, she slipped out and closed it behind her. "As long as you can keep your temper in check and not start tweaking out or anything, you can crash in our room for now," she said to Viktor. "Fair warning, he kind of talks in his sleep. Well, sort of." She fished around for a way to describe it. Finally, she shrugged. "Pretty mind-control songs?"

Viktor stared at her. His eyes were kind of hazy--he had also had a lot to drink. He stumbled to his feet. "Mm...I'm more of a funny drunk, dear...I'll be fine. Mind-what, now?" In his drunken state, it would be much easier for Léan's song to unintentionally control him...

"How to put this..." Glory murmured. "You know those old stories about sirens? Like that." Hopefully, she wouldn't have to say any more than that. "We may as well get you inside so you can sleep some of that off. And have you seen Selena? She hasn't come back yet."

Viktor thought for a long moment. It looked like hard work in his current state. "Oooohh, okay. Mind-control, lure sailors to their deaths...that kind of thing. Selena? Um..." He scratched his head, staring up at the ceiling. "I think she's still out partying..."

"I don't suppose you remember where she went, do you?" Glory pressed. It wasn't necessarily that late, but Selena had still been gone for a long time.

"Erm..." Once again, Viktor took a long pause as he thought. "I think she was out by the big beach, with the rest of the partiers..."

Out by the main beach... Great.

"Alright..." Glory said. She had a bad feeling about that all of a sudden. "Come on, get in here, and don't do anything stupid, alright?" She opened the door. "And do you have any earplugs or anything around this place?"

Viktor hobbled into the room, collapsing on the couch near the tank. "Earplugs? Nope..."

"Alright," Glory said. "It probably would have been a good idea for you to wear some, but it can be worked around." Closing the door again, she took out her phone and sent a quick message to Selena.

When do you think you'll be back? Just curious.

It took a good four minutes for Selena to respond.

Maybe an hour or so. A bunch of us are going to go out on one of Viktor's boats in a few minutes so we can party on the water.
