Glory nodded and checked her air guage.

"I'm alright for now," she said, "but we should head back soon."

"I am ready to return when you are." Léan flipped back over to swim correctly, stretching his arms out below him and sighing when his shoulders popped.

"In a few minutes," Glory said. "You look like you're about to be in a bad mood again, what happened?"

"Nothing...I think I'm homesick," Léan sighed, wearily. "Warm water is nice, but I would like to go home..." He had yet to really refer to the beach back where Archie and Damon were as his home...but he had done so, now.

"I understand that," Glory said. "I miss home, too. We leave soon, though."

Léan looked relieved when she reminded him of this, and he nodded wistfully. "I should have a look around once we get home for signs of my father. It isn't a good idea for me to go alone, but Arcturus...he is terrified of our father, more than anything else in the world. I don't want to make him go with me."

"I would go with you," Glory said, "but it's cold at home, and I'm slightly more drownable than you are, so it wouldn't be a good idea."

"I suppose I will have to go alone, then. I will be fine, as long as I swim fast enough to escape, if he finds me." Léan let loose a great sigh, and turned around, so they could start on their way back. "I do not know what he wants."

"Asking usually helps with that kind of problem," Glory said dryly, trying to lighten the mood a little. She hated seeing him upset like he was, even if he didn't outwardly seem upset.

"Trying to talk to him is like trying to talk to a violent rock," Léan retorted, smiling a bit. He would be a lot better once they were home and after he'd done a patrol of the area.

"I would say that it couldn't hurt to try, but I get the distinct feeling I'd be wrong," Glory said as they headed back to the beach.

"You are most likely right about that," Léan yawned as they returned to the beach. He sighed, then eyed her sunburn, which was still visible around the neck of the wetsuit. "You should get out of that suit before it starts to chafe your burns. And do you want me to go back in with you? I will..."

"You don't have to if you don't want to," Glory replied as she sat down on the sand to take off the tank and such. "Don't worry about me, I've had sunburns before."

Léan rested his head on his arms, watching her absently. "I'd like to, since there isn't much to do out here anyway. And I am homesick, so being inside would probably be better for me right now." He preferred colder waters, as strange as it sounded. It was why the Bering Sea was his favorite haunt.

"Alright," Glory said. It didn't take her long to take off all her gear except for the wetsuit, and once that was done, she worked on getting Léan back upstairs. Once they were upstairs, she disappeared into the bathroom to change out of the wetsuit.

Léan, who'd been content with laying down on the bed instead of dipping into the tank, was relaxing and wiggling around so that he could pull the blankets up onto himself.

Selena had stepped out for a moment, but would be back soon. It would probably be bad if she returned to find Léan in the room. Then again, if things could be worked out, it might be a good thing...they still had issues to work out, after all.

Glory changed back into her lightest clothes, trying to make sure they didn't chafe her sunburn. Once she was changed, she went back out and sat down on the bed with Léan. Reaching over, she picked up the bottle of aloe lotion and started to rub it carefully into her sunburn.

Footsteps approached the room. They were quickly followed by the sounds of Selena cheerfully chatting with someone else in the hallway.

Léan wiggled around a bit more, pulling the blankets up over him. "Erm...did you talk to her?" he murmured, under his breath.

"I thought I did..." Glory murmured as she got up and went to the door. Opening it slightly, she poked her head out. "Hey, Selena."

Selena was talking to one of the locals, a popular surfer around this area who was friendly with Viktor. "Hi, Glory. How's your sunburn?" She waved goodbye to the boy so she could stop at the door to their room.

"Better. Just letting you know that we just got back from a trip out to the reef," Glory replied, putting emphasis on the word 'we'.

Selena arched a pale eyebrow. It was very scary how alike her and Léans' expressions were, at times. They could have been siblings, if they were the same species. "Oh. I see."

"Is that bad?" Glory asked. Surely Selena didn't expect her to just leave him out on the beach...

"No, no...it's just, it's still quite awkward between us. We haven't even spoken more than three words to each other..." Selena amended, quietly.

"Then maybe you two should try talking," Glory suggested. "I can easily take myself elsewhere for a while so you can talk."
