"If you're waiting for me to say that I kissed him, you might be waiting a while," Glory teased him. "Or, you know, not."

Archie blinked. He blinked a few more times, seemingly in shock.

Léan cleared his throat, then glanced at Glory. "Now would be a good time to start heading inside...he'll be starting, soon...we won't get the brunt of it if we hurry..."

Grinning, she gave Léan a kiss and then picked him up.

"Sounds like a good idea," she said.

Archie still looked in shock. There was a small sound coming from his chest...it was a warning that something much worse was approaching.

Due to wanting to get out of Archie's warpath so badly, Léan simply clung to her, wanting to get inside as soon as possible.

Glory got the hint and made her way inside with him, setting him down on the couch.

"Ten seconds until we're able to hear him in here?" she asked.

"...Three...two..." Léan muttered, under his breath.

Exactly on cue, there was an earsplitting, scream-like squeal coming from the beach, near the shore. It was nonstop, piercing. Archie was swimming in rapid, feverish circles as he made this noise.

"I stand corrected," Glory said dryly. "Any estimates on how long it'll be until he gets bored?"

"It will take him an hour or so, perhaps more. He'll quiet down after a while, because he'll want to go and bother Damon about it," Léan murmured, putting his hands up over his ears. "Gah..."

"I could go and talk to him, see if I can shut him up," Glory offered. "You can stay in here and make yourself comfortable."

"You won't get him to shut up," Léan assured her, grinning. "Perhaps you want to double-team him? You and your Nana scolding him, both of you, should do the trick. I'm sure she's already annoyed by the noise, if she's awake."

"Let me go try first," Glory said. "I don't want to bother Nana anymore than I'm sure she is."

Léan nodded, then chuckled. "Don't get too close to the water, or he'll pull you in, snuggle you, and call you his sister-in-law..." he warned, amused.

"I won't get too close," Glory promised. "Besides, I'm not his sister-in-law... right?"

"He now assumes you are. And he will think that way...he is who he is, and he makes far too many assumptions...that's going to be your new title from now on," Léan clarified. He was grinning. He knew exactly how Archie was, and he could predict almost every move he made.

Rolling her eyes, Glory gave him a kiss before heading out to the beach.

Archie was swimming around in rapid circles. Outside, the sound was nearly three times as loud as it was inside. He didn't seem to notice Glory when she stepped out.

Glory sighed and sat down a decent distance from the shore.

"Archie," she called, hoping to get his attention.

Archie paused in his swimming to stare at her. The noise was still spilling from his throat, and he didn't seem to be able to control it. He was just so excited.

"You have to tone it down," Glory said. "Elsewise, Nana might come out and yell at you, and I doubt you want that."

Archie kept on squealing, then shook his head. He ducked underwater and fled out to sea, probably to find Damon and gush to him about what he'd discovered. The sound slowly dwindled away.

Slightly bewildered, Glory got up and went back inside.

"That was a shorter conversation than I thought it would be," she commented once she was back in the house.

Léan looked relieved now that the sound was gone. "...I feel bad for Damon," he quipped suddenly, frowning. "He's going to get the brunt of it, now..."

"Like you said," Glory replied, "give him an hour. Then I'm sure he'll be back demanding details."

Léan grumbled. He certainly wasn't about to give details to his brother. "Shall we try and get some rest in before he returns? It has been a long day."

"You go ahead," Glory said. "I still have work in an hour, but you're more than welcome to the couch."
