Léan nodded, clearing his throat. "All right. I will call you if I need you." At the moment, all he wanted to do was stay perfectly still for the next two or three hours. He swore at this point to never, ever take human medicine again, unless Archie volunteered to try some of it first.

He shifted, uncomfortably, and made a strange strangled noise in his throat before settling down again.

Glory went back into her room and settled herself on her bed again, laptop on her lap. She was chatting on and off with an old friend of hers, though the conversation wasn't all that important. Just chatting. After a while, she got bored and dug out a book to read.

Léan, meanwhile, was suffering out on the couch. No matter how much time passed, he wasn't getting any better. Self-consciously, he pulled the blanket tighter around himself, eyes wide open. He was wide awake and couldn't sleep.

Glory came back out a little while later, heading into the kitchen. Going into the fridge, she got herself a bottle of water and opened it, chugging most of it before capping it again. She glanced at him as she headed back into her room.

"You sure you're alright?" she asked.

Léan looked even worse than he had before. His shoulders shot up to his chin when he realized she was in the room, and he coughed. "Erm...yes, everything is quite fine."

"That's called lying through your teeth, and I can tell when you do it," Glory deadpanned.

"Trust me. You'd rather not hear the truth. I'm fine...we'll let it go at that..." Léan pulled the blanket tighter around him, peeking back at her. He had a guarded look on his face.

Glory raised an eyebrow.

"Are you sure?"

Léan stared at her for a long moment. Then, he grumbled and curled himself back up, defensively. "I'm sure. If I'm wrong, come prove me wrong."

Glory raised an eyebrow again and opened her mouth to respond, but paused when she heard something from outside.

"Hold that thought," she said as she went to the door that led out to the beach.

He had been trying so hard to stay quiet, but his little squeals were just barely audible inside the house. Archie was trying to be quiet, because he knew that humans were mostly asleep when it was dark above water, so he wouldn't disturb anyone.

He perked up when he noticed Glory, and swam around in more rapid, frantic circles, a big, silly grin on his face.

"I'll be right back," Glory said as she went out the door. She didn't care that it was getting dark out, she knew her way around the beach by now. "Alright, what's this spaz attack about?"

Archie sped around in a few more circles before stopping, his tail swishing back and forth at an incomprehensible speed. "Hee...it's...it's..."

He shook his head a few times, then paused to regain himself.

"Heeeeee-heee...it's a giiiiirl."

"Aw~!" Glory squealed. She couldn't help herself. "Everything went well? She and Damon are alright?"

"Uh-huh!" Archie looked very excited. It was so strange seeing the differences between him and Léan...they were so extreme. "They're resting! I hope I didn't wake you up, I was so happy and I wanted to bother Léan, but he wasn't out here, so I just decided to stay here until you woke up, but I couldn't control my loud mouth, so I'm sorry!"

He swam around in some more circles, that big grin still on his face. He was babbling, and he didn't even care.

"I was awake, don't worry about me," Glory said. "I was actually keeping an eye out the window for when you got back. Your brother is being weird, so I was hanging out in my room for the evening."

Archie stopped in his tracks, then curiously tilted his head at her. "Weird? How so?" he pressed, nosily. "I know my brother better than most people. I might be able to tell you what's wrong! Tell me everything that's happened!"

"That's what I was hoping you would say," Glory said. Sitting down on her rock, she explained what was going on. "Like I said," she finished, "I've been in my room all night."

"What medicine did you say it was...ibu-something? Ibuprofen?" Why did that ring a bell in his mind? Archie mulled it over, then raised his head a little. "Oh. Hehe...hehehehehehe..."

He cleared his throat. "Human medicine often has really wacky side-effects on us. I don't think he mentioned it to you, because his head was hurting so badly. I think that particular medicine, erm...from what I remember...makes us kind of...in the mood, terribly..."

Glory blinked for a moment before it finally clicked in her mind. She was glad it was dark so that nobody could see her blush.

"Oh," she said. "Right, then."

"He gets really cranky when he's like that, um...so if you, um...don't want to help him...you'd be better off leaving him alone or getting him in really cold water..." Archie murmured, scratching his head.

"I'm not going near him, he'd probably try to break my neck," Glory said. "Or something equally as unpleasant."

"Um...if he didn't try to break your neck already, he won't be nasty to you," Archie amended. "He'll just be a stubborn old coot and refuse to admit and talk about it. He'll try to act normally and fail at it."

"That already happened," Glory said. "But again, I've been in my room all night. It's not like we've really been in the same room."

"If you want to see him get angry, I can have a talk with him. But, eh...I'd rather not break my neck, not today." Archie grinned. "Maybe if you tease him enough you'll get him to admit it and figure out a solution. I still say cold water would help him out, majorly. But, that's up to you. I don't think he wants to suffer all night."
