"Maybe I should..." Glory mused. "It would be easier if I could somehow convince my parents to leave for a while. The beach is starting to feel a little crowded, now that they're back together..." Digging through her purse, she searched for her keys. "Things are going to get a bit complicated soon, I think."

"Hah. Complicated, my foot." Viktor didn't seem to mind 99% of things confusing, or puzzling, or even surprising...in any way. He was always chilled out, relaxed, and very open. "Just don't get in over your head."

"That was a terrible pun and you know it," Glory replied. "Anyways, I should be getting back. Maybe I could suggest that my parents go to Hawaii or something..."

"Maybe you could. And puns are fun!" Viktor protested, pouting rather childishly. "Have fuuuun. Ciao." He turned and headed back towards the rest of the employees.

Rolling her eyes, Glory left, making her way back home. She wasn't in any real rush, so she took her time, listening to the radio. Pulling into the driveway, Glory headed inside, still humming softly. She was in a strangely good mood for having just gotten off of work.

Léan had been out hunting, obviously. He was curled up in the shallows, munching on a small, juvenile swordfish he'd caught out in deeper waters.

Changing out of her work clothes and into something warm and comfortable, Glory went out to the beach. It didn't matter that it was dark, she knew where the shoreline was.

Léan looked up when she wandered out, and his tail swished back and forth excitedly, making small splashes in the shallow water. It was like a loyal puppy wagging its tail, overjoyed to see her.

Glory grinned when she saw him. Or rather, when she saw his vague sillouhette.

"I can't see a thing out here," she said as she sat down on the sand. "I'm just glad I know where everything should be by now."

"I can see perfectly fine...I am used to living in deep waters, after all. Which reminds me...I asked Arcturus to fetch some Abrium for your mother. He left a few minutes ago," Léan informed her, contently. He moved a bit more up onto the sand to sit by her side.

"It's too dark for me," Glory said as she leaned against him. "I would use my cell phone for some light, but it kind of creeps me out on the water, because it only lights the surface."

Léan nibbled a bit more on his swordfish. "The dark doesn't bother me unless I feel like I'm being watched," he informed her, shuddering at the thought. "Gah."

"The dark doesn't bother me," Glory replied. "I just like being able to see, but I can function well enough in the dark if I have to, as long as I know where everything is." She cuddled into his side a bit. "Though I rather like seeing things. You know, side-effect of eighteen years of living up here."

"You humans and your crazy addiction to light," Léan teased. He nestled his head against her shoulder, pleasantly. "I can function perfectly fine in the dark."

"Yeah, yeah, rub it in," Glory teased affectionately. She cuddled with him, happy.

"How was work?" Léan asked curiously, trying to spark some conversation. He didn't want to sit here in silence the whole time.

"Slow," Glory said. "There must be some bad weather or something rolling in, nobody was out tonight. We barely had twenty people all night."

"So you had some time to relax, then?" Léan seemed happy about this. He was glad she got to relax, even if it was only for one night, at work.

"Yeah," Glory said. "Like I said, it was a quiet night." She leaned against him, content. "I'm still trying to figure out how get my parents to take a vacation..."

"Perhaps you should suggest one? Maybe somewhere far away," Léan murmured, tilting his head. "They should have alone-time..."

"Yeah, they need to have their alone-time so that we can have ours," she teased gently. She cuddled close to him. "Maybe I can suggest they go to Hawaii or something..."

Léan went slightly pink, though it wasn't noticeable in the dark. "That may be a good idea...once Arcturus returns with the Abrium. He should be back soon..."

"Well, once that's taken care of, I need to go back inside," Glory said. "It's getting late, and I want to get at least some of my homework done... I'll finish the rest between classes tomorrow if I have to."

Léan nodded, and then perked up a bit. He glanced behind him to see a shape out in the distance...Archie returning with the Abrium.

Archie dug around to find Clarissa and Azilis--he was glad that he found them lounging together and nothing more. He held out the bottle of Abrium. "It's...nasty stuff. Try not to puke it up, or I'll have to get more."

Clarissa took the bottle carefully.

"Thank you," she said. She eyed the bottle for a moment, and then downed its contents before she could talk herself out of it. Immediately, she had to fight the urge to throw it back up. "Yeah," she agreed once she was sure it wasn't coming back up, "that was bad."
