"Is your vision getting better?" Archie asked, hopefully. It would start to clear up, and then it would be as if she was on land...that was how it went, unless there was some sort of complication.

Clarissa nodded.

"Yeah, it is," she said. "Thanks."

"You're welcome!" Archie swam off, cheerily, to join Glory and his brother. "The deed is done! She can see much better, now." He seemed to know, somehow, that the two were plotting something. "You want Damon and I to take a vacation, too? We'll take Eden with us."

"Been evesdropping on us?" Glory asked teasingly.

"Whatever would give you that idea?" Archie had a mischievous look on his face. "We can go with them, and spend time on a different island, if that would make you feel better."

"You don't have to play matchmaker anymore, you know," Glory said. It was probably not a bad idea to have them go, though... More privacy on the beach and all that.

"Oh, but I do. There's still so much work to be done." Archie's tail flicked back and forth. "My work will never be done until I've cured Léan of his crotchety old man syndrome!"

Léan idly slapped him with his tail, from underwater. "You are insane."

Glory laughed a little bit, she couldn't help it.

"You're both such good brothers, you know that?" she said.

"I feel special!" Archie exclaimed, hobbling over to join in the 'Léan-cuddling.'

"Special, my tailfin..." Léan grumbled, trying to dislodge Archie from his arm. "Give it back, you mongrel..."

Glory rolled her eyes.

"Archie, sweetie, go cuddle with Damon if you want to cuddle that much," she said.

Archie pulled back, eyeing his suddenly irritable brother with a frown. "Aw. He's still a mean old fossil. I've still got a lot of work to do! I'll head back to Damon, now!" He quickly ducked underwater and swam away, disappearing into the rocks.

Léan sighed, relieved that he was gone.

"Well... I don't think you're a mean old fossil," Glory said as she snuggled into Léan's side. She grinned. "I think you're rather cuddly most of the time, actually," she said teasingly.

"Not to most people," Léan reminded her. "I'm more like a sea urchin with one little soft spot...I do not like him interfering. He wants to stir up trouble," he added, amused.

"Just one little soft spot?" Glory teased affectionately.

Léan grumbled, slowly going pink again. "Gah...I don't know..." he muttered, amused. He reached up to scratch his head briefly before hesitantly pulling her into a hug.

"Why are you hesitating so much lately?" Glory asked as she returned the hug, cuddling close.

"I suppose my breakdown is having after-effects..." Léan admitted, sheepishly. "I...I will get better, soon. I just need time."

"If you're sure," Glory said. She cuddled closer to him. "In the mean time, come here and kiss me." Her eyes had adjusted a bit more to the darkness, but she still couldn't see well enough for her to be able to kiss him herself without missing.

Léan shuffled himself closer and gently pressed their foreheads together, so that they were close enough for her to see him clearly. He was still skittish about initiating kisses.

Glory grinned and kissed him. She didn't mind that he was still a bit skittish, she was just glad he was willing to be close to her.

Léan had no problem responding to her kiss, tail flicking back and forth in a pleased way. He had a sweet, cheery disposition about him for some reason--his irritation at Archie seemed to have faded away.

"I'm probably going to end up skipping school at some point this week," Glory said softly. "Probably Friday or something. I know I probably shouldn't, but I just haven't been able to focus lately."

Léan nodded, closing his eyes. "You do what you feel is best. I don't want to keep you from your school work, but..." He trailed off, smiling slightly.

"But you're not going to complain if I skip school to spend more time with you," Glory clarified.

"Probably not," Léan agreed, grinning. "I want you to be educated, of course, but...I don't think I would complain..."
